JAABLOG may be dying from benign neglect, but that doesn’t mean we still don’t break the news.
Today the Daily Business Review (DBR) confirmed our January 22nd post regarding Jack Tuter heading back to the private sector, in an article that also verified Carol-Lisa Phillips as the incoming Chief Judge of the 17th Circuit.
From the DBR:
… “The (Chief Judge) news comes as Broward Circuit Chief Judge Jack Tuter intends to send a letter to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis later this week about retiring from the state court bench after over a decade of service. Tuter … revealed that he intends to re-enter the private practice.”
Once again, congratulations to Carol-Lisa on the unanimous support from her colleagues to lead the 17th. It’s a long way from the DBR reported aspiration she held growing up “to become a garbage collector,” but we bet when she retires and looks back on her career she will have undoubtedly scratched that itch too …
WELL DONE!
