      Worst choices:
Rifkin (can’t get the hint that NOBODY wants her attitude on the bench)
      Blackmon (no experience, too young)
Hillstrom (major dick, would be a pain to deal with bc he thinks he knows it all, only got board certified bc of sao trial experience)

Yes. Hillstrom is the same guy …hoping to get a judgeship because he is tired of relying on his wife’s SAO pay to feed them.

Same list of pimps looking for a get out of jail free card. And then of course you’ve got Llorente looking to
          pick up some nickels.

An immature former AG who never fullfilled their 2 yr committment with Children’s Legal Services. Needs to follow the Canons and stop bashing Mark Kushner. Mark has far more ethics and experience then this inexperienced and subpar attorney. Kushner you should make a complaint.

Not Julio again ! These losers never stop trying to get handouts at public expense. This squirrel after losing an election works for Rothstein and scabs and now wants to suck at the public trough again !
Drain the Swamp of Former Broward judges looking to oil their way back onto the state payroll. Broward has enough problems with crooked judges. We don’t need this putz back.

If Kushner would have been elected over Judge Benson he probably would have been removed by the JQC. This is the guy who attacked Judge Benson in his campaign flyer because Judge Benson was a public defender who represented (gasp!) criminals. The same type of flyer that Judge Santino in Palm Beach is getting skewered over by the Supreme Court and JQC.

Mark is a great lawyer, a wonderful husband and father. He and his wife were naieve when he ran against Judge Benson. Mark and his wife received bad advice from someone that resulted in the mailer which Mark deeply regrets being associated with. Mark knows the bucks stops with him and has since cleared the air with Judge Benson. Judge Benson forgave Mark and knows where the bad advice came from and why. Judge Benson forgave Mark, everyone else should as well. He would be a great addition to the bench.

Peter Holden would be fantastic and has double and even quadruple the experience of some of the other nominees. Good Luck Peter! Would have loved to see you running the SAO but this is great too!

                Really sorry to hear that.
Not only was he a very good lawyer, after kind of retiring, he would take low level cannabis felony and misd. cases, both at a “very” reasonable fee.

Pretty sure he wrote a book.

Take away frequent flyers and no chancers Rifikin, Ricca, Gonzalez, Hillstrom, Llorente, Francois and there’s a pretty short list for two circuit spots.

They’d be crazy to let a Broward carpetbagger sit in Jacksonville. He could be Mother Teresa but nobody would want anything connected to the Broward judiciary in their town. It just doesn’t look good.

They’d need Greene in Jacksonville like a snake needs a mongoose. Nobody wants any judge from Broward. Broward’s reputation for bad judges is notorious throughout the state. More judges are being run against in Broward than any other circuit in Florida. The reason ? Nobody wants the trash we’ve got here. Look at how many judges have been removed from the bench by the JQC or have been forced to resign due to corruption.

Allen-Rosner was successful on his Motion to Dismiss. Williams failed to serve an indispensable party, the Secretary of State. Have to wait for Amended Complaint to to be filed and served. Odd that a lawyer would forgot to serve the constitutional office that qualified Allen-Rosner as a candidate.

Governor Rick Scott appointed Judicial fraud Judge Howard Coates. Get 10 persons to contribute 3,500.00, for a 35,000.00 gift to Ric Scott and his campaign, and you can be a judge too.

Appointed judges are elitists, and are the threshold of Florida’s child trafficking industry.

Judge Howard Coates “knowingly” accepts fake police reports to grab jurisdictions over his fraudulent contractors.
35, 000.00 not only buys the right to allow the connected, to fleece the helpless elderly, but also is “allowed” to conduct the frauds needed for the continuity of child trafficking cover-ups. Thanks to Gov. Rick Scott, and his model judge and buddy, child trafficking in Florida grows to epidemic proportions…

      Where’s The JQC?

Filling out blank police forms and filing them as authentic is illegal. Therefore, court contractor Kristin Tolbert, and Judge Howard Coates are both felons.

Lets help innocent children, keep these sick and crooked Rick Scott’s “CRIMINAL” appointment$, off the bench.

Hopefully the Weinstein case will set R.I.C.O. standards for sitting Judges who together with their court contractors validate false police reports to fraudulently rule for their corrupted court approved contractors.

Judge Howard Coates is a criminal.for helping Kristin Tolbert commit felonies. Its on record….
            Where’s The JQC?

How does a court clerk get away with validating such a form?

            The answer is,
Attorney and Court Clerk Sharon Bock, runs a criminal enterprise maneuvering wheels and counterfeiting paperwork for “co-workers.

The RICO status on the Weinstein case, could make it an all inclusive investigation for the court houses and clerks. R.I.C.O. Standards may be for Judges who Cover-up Child Trafficking, using fake police reports as its primary platforms.

            Be Careful When Voting.
Some of the most nefarious, gravitate to family/probate.
When Judges, along with paid court contractors , deputy court clerks, and adoption/probate attorney’s, “knowingly” apply counterfeited police report “form”‘s, there’s usually much more to the picture in terms to their standard practices and wholesale human trafficking. Pick your judges wisely.

    from law.com
Broward Judges to Step Out of Courthouses to Preside in Community Court

Broward Circuit Court, Broward County and Fort Lauderdale are collaborating to create neighborhood justice centers that focus on rehabilitation and recovery rather than punishment.

If Jack Tuter has his way, Broward County judges could soon step out of their courthouses and into less imposing workplaces.

A proposal by the chief circuit judge and local leaders would create a community court in unexpected places — a City Commission meeting room perhaps or in government-owned offices near mass transit. It would take jurists to ad hoc courtrooms in central locations close to homeless, poor and other populations who often miss court appearances because of economic hardships.

The big picture goal is to create a system that shifts its focus from punishment for low-level crimes and addresses underlying issues like addiction, homelessness and mental illness.

“The way we are handling minor violations of the law is not working,” said Tuter, who is leading the circuit’s partnership with Fort Lauderdale and Broward County to launch the community court.

Neighborhood justice centers have been growing in popularity since about 2016 and prioritize rehabilitation and recovery over punishment.

Supporters in Broward would pool real estate, staff and agency resources to bolster the venture, which they say would save taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars a year and give new judicial access to an underserved population.

Last year, officers arrested about 300 people for municipal ordinance violations, including disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, panhandling in traffic and carrying open containers of alcohol in public places. They booked even more, about 900 total, in the two previous years.

Those arrests cost taxpayers $564,900 for county jail expenses over the past three years, according to municipal ordinance statistics. A sentence for panhandling, for instance, costs well beyond petty cash. Each 59-day stint in custody carried an $8,260 price tag for residents, while a 44-day sentence for trespassing cost $4,760.

“What we’re doing right now, we know it’s a failure,” Tuter said. “It’s not touching most of the lives that come through the court system.”

That’s why Fort Lauderdale applied this year for one of five $200,000 community court grants from the New York-based Center for Court Innovation and the U.S. Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance.

The funds will be used to assist with housing, mental health care, employment and other efforts, but Tuter said the groups would press ahead even without the money.

“We’re going to try something different,” he said. “The local cities are 100 percent on board to give it a shot as well as the county, so it’s a collaborative effort.”

Supporters hope the specialized program will mimic the success of similar ventures, including Broward’s mental health court, which has earned local and national acclaim. County Court Judge Ginger Lerner-Wren is at the center of a post-booking diversion strategy that decriminalizes mental illness. Her task is to administer justice with defendants facing unique circumstances and work with community agencies to deliver health care instead of criminal convictions.

The new effort championed by the chief judge is gaining momentum.

“We’re going to run the court with or without money,” Tuter said. “The question is: How many of these folks can we reach and get off the street?”

What we are concerned about is having court being held in places other than the courthouses.

They can’t even handle the current system.
We see a great potential for abuse of defendant’s rights.

Some victim’s advocates from the SA’s office, already try to lie to victims of domestic violence that do not want to prosecute, telling them there will be court hearings at the address their office is in, telling them all attorneys and the judge will be there.
It’s real easy now to tell them that is BS.
                One concern.

Delaware becomes first new state to legalize sports betting and will be ready to go in days
              http://www.businessinsider.com/delaware-sports-betting-2018-5

Delaware will become the first state to offer single-game sports betting outside of Nevada, with three properties — Delaware Park, Dover Downs Hotel & Casino, and Harrington Raceway & Casino — opening for sports betting business on Tuesday, June 5, the state announced on Thursday.

The news comes after the Supreme Court’s decision three weeks ago that declared the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992 (PASPA) unconstitutional. While New Jersey was the state that brought the case to the Supreme Court, it looks as though Delaware will beat them to the market for bettors on the East Coast.

Delaware is not entirely new to the world of sports betting — the state had received a partial exemption from PASPA that allowed it to offer parlay wagers on NFL football, requiring gamblers to pick three games together per bet.
Delaware is set to become the first state to offer legal, single-game sports betting outside of Nevada since the Supreme Court’s decision that lifted the de facto nationwide ban.
Three locations in Delaware will begin taking single-game sports bets at 1:30 p.m. on June 5.
New Jersey and other states are expected to follow soon after.

According to ESPN, approximately $46 million was bet legally in the state on the NFL in 2017. Starting on Tuesday, single-game bets will be available to Delaware bettors.

The state’s existing laws regarding gambling was one of the factors that made the quick turnaround possible.

The truth may as well include that Litl Bobby was also fined 15 grand, suspended from the bench and required to write an apology letter to Former Judge Seidman and the Hispanic Bar Asso.

              And That’s The Truth.

A Broward County judge has been reprimanded, fined, and suspended for two weeks by the Supreme Court for sending an anonymous e-mail to a fellow judge that was deemed to threaten political retaliation and also sending a copy to the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association.

Diaz must also make a “complete and public apology” to County Judge Lee Seidman and the president of the Hispanic bar, the court decided. The e-mails suggested Seidman was reporting illegal immigrants to federal authorities.

In January 2004, Diaz sent an anonymous e-mail to another county judge, which included a story about a circuit judge who had been criticized for reporting illegal aliens to the U.S. Immigration Service when he learned they were appearing before him in his courtroom. The electronic missive also said, “Isn’t this what you used to do in Hollywood (Florida)? We remember.”

Diaz also anonymously sent the newspaper article to the then-president of the local Hispanic Bar Association with a message raising questions about Seidman’s conduct.

In the subsequent JQC investigation, Judge Diaz waived the right to a trial, stipulated to the JQC’s facts, and accepted its recommended discipline of a two-week suspension without pay, a $15,000 fine, and a public reprimand, as well as an apology to the recipient judge and the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association.

Seidman, in a prepared statement that he would not elaborate on, said: “The issue has been resolved by the Florida Supreme Court. I will accept Judge Diaz’s apology in the manner and spirit it is to be given. I look forward to working with Judge Diaz as a colleague on the bench in the years ahead.”

In its report to the court, the JQC wrote, “The panel takes a very dim view of the conduct of the respondent in this matter, which involves a serious offense. He in fact sent an implied threat of organized group retaliation because of alleged actions of a fellow judge, and to exacerbate matters sent a copy to a local ethnic bar association. Such conduct is deplorable, and were it not for the respondent’s lack of prior disciplinary history and his acknowledgment of his conduct, the panel would consider forwarding this matter for trial and a more severe penalty. The period of suspension would be greater but for the burden placed on the respondent’s colleagues.”

The agreement Diaz reached with the commission did not specify which judicial canons he violated, but a five-member majority of the Supreme Court panel said he had violated the Code of Judicial Conduct.

The “Cannons” prohibit judges from making threatening or disparaging remarks about other judges and people in general. It also requires judges to respect and follow the law and to act in ways that assure the public that they are impartial and have integrity.

They also must not allow personal, family, social or political relationships to influence their conduct.

Justice Raoul Cantero and Chief Justice Barbara Pariente disagreed with the majority’s decision in a 9 1/2-page dissent.

Cantero wrote that Diaz’s actions did not violate any canon of judicial conduct and “even if they did, the discipline is much too severe compared to other cases.” The two justices said they would have recommended that Diaz just get a written reprimand. Ileana Almeida, president of the Broward County Hispanic Bar Association, said the organization respects the Supreme Court’s decision but is “more in agreement” with the dissent by Cantero and Pariente.

“We feel the disciplinary action was harsh against Judge Diaz,” Almeida said.

The organization never asked Diaz to apologize to its president, as required by the ruling.

Almeida said she assumed Diaz had good intentions, adding she never had any problems with Seidman or Diaz, According to the Sun Sentinel.

The court majority in its per curiam opinion noted that the JQC did not specify any violations of the judicial canons but noted, “by his stipulation and agreement, it appears that Judge Diaz has conceded he violated the broad provisions of Canon 1 and Canon 2 of the Code of Judicial Conduct, which can be construed to prohibit judges from making threatening or disparaging remarks about other judges or parties in the manner involved herein. These canons broadly prohibit conduct unbecoming a judicial officer.”

The majority also said, “It appears here that the commission’s concerns were not with the substance of the matters addressed by Judge Diaz, but rather with the fact that Judge Diaz acted anonymously and that his message could be construed as a threat . . .”

The opinion concluded, “Based upon our review, and because Judge Diaz admits to the wrongdoing and does not contest the commission’s findings in any respect, we conclude that the JQC’s findings are supported by clear and convincing evidence. Similarly, because Judge Diaz has expressly agreed to the recommended discipline both below and in this court, including the fine, suspension without pay, and a public reprimand, we accept and approve this discipline.”

The court said the publication of the opinion would serve as the reprimand.

Justices Charles Wells, Harry Lee Anstead, Fred Lewis, Peggy Quince, and Kenneth Bell concurred in the opinion.

Justice Raoul Cantero, joined by Chief Justice Barbara Pariente, dissented.

The court acted July 7, in Inquiry Concerning a Judge Re: Robert F. Diaz, case no. SC04-1845.

    COULD THIS TIP THE SCALES?

Just a few years ago, Broward County could boast having 6 openly LGBT judges on its state court bench. Now, with the recent retirement of Judge Lisa Porter, we have only three. And if a North Broward traffic ticket attorney has his way, by January 2019, we will have only two.

Our longest serving openly gay jurist, Judge Robert W. Lee, was appointed by Democratic Florida Governor Lawton Chiles more than two decades ago. Notwithstanding a long record of dedicated service to the people of Broward County, he has for the first time obtained an opponent in his re-election bid.

And the sooner he’s off the bench, the better. Instead of remaining thankful for the chance to make a difference in an otherwise decrepit and Corrupt Broward Judiciary, his insulting and demeaning attitude to everyone who comes before him has led to the inevitable judicial challenge.
Broward can only hope he is defeated and removed from an otherwise lackluster career as judge.

Porter stunk as a judge too. Lee is no better. Broward is better off without either one of them. When they could have made a big difference, both lined their pockets and did nothing for the community. You won’t catch me feeling too sorry for Lee getting opposition. “Here Comes the Judge” is a song and single by American soul and comedy singer Pigmeat Markham first released in 1968 on the Chess label.[1] The record entered the UK charts in July 1968, spending eight weeks on the charts and reaching 19 as its highest position.[2] The song originated with his signature comedy routine “heyeah (here) come da judge”, which made a mockery of formal courtroom etiquette. Due to its rhythmic use of boastful dialogue, it is considered a precursor to the hip hop genre.

Richard Kaplan is a wonderful attorney, father, friend, and husband. I worked with him when he was a Prosecutor and as Defense Counsel. He is always prepared and fights zealously for his clients. Because of his great litigation skills he was elevated to the Chief Litigation Supervisor for all Civil at RC4. All the Bailiff’s & Clerk’s will tell you how much they love Kaplan. He cares about his clients and will fight for due process through thick and thin.

Sorry that the State Attorney’s think they are the only ones worthy of being on the bench. They have become a delusional group of cretins who have an air of superiority with no skills. How can you work for a man who gives you no discretion to drop bad cases? Where racial disparity has been apparent for decades?

So-called “deadbeat son” Michael Rotundo, the 30-year-old whose parents had to take him to court to get him out of their house, owes the single mother of his son back child support, according to the New York Post.

The mom, who asked to remain anonymous, said Rotondo owes about $2,500 in child support. Until 2016, he was only required to pay $25 a month, but in October the mom filed a petition to increase the child support — which she says he fought tooth and nail. The judge sided with the mom and raised the support to $56 a week and tore into Rotondo regarding his efforts to get a job, calling them “minimal at best.”

According to court records obtained by the Post, he has paid $10,000 for a storage unit that has housed his busted 1989 Chevy Camaro for the past five years. A June 2017 filing shows that he was also paying $920 a year in car insurance for the broken-down Camaro with flat tires and a Volkswagen station wagon that didn’t run, either.

Rotundo’s expenses “completely undermined” his claim that he can’t afford to pay child support, the judge said.

During the custody case, Rotundo testified he had only applied for two jobs that year, and “considered applying at Staples but does not think it is a good environment,” according to the judge’s filing. He also passed on attending a “parent-support program,” which would have aided his job search.

“He terrorized me,” the 33-year-old woman said of the court case, which occurred while Rotundo was living with his parents. He lost joint custody of his son in September.

The spinoff had the lowest opening ($103 million for the four-day Memorial Day weekend) of any Star Wars film since Disney bought Lucasfilm in 2012, ending a hit streak going back to The Force Awakens three years ago. Miami judge seals high-profile defamation suit filed after state dropped child sex abuse case. iami-Dade Circuit Judge Peter R. Lopez has sealed all court records in a high-profile defamation lawsuit brought by Jozef Opdeweegh against the parents and grandfather of a 6-year-old girl who accused him of sexually molesting her at a May 2017 pool party.

Judge Lopez’s temporary order puts off limits any information about the case, including the docket, which is no longer available via the Miami-Dade Clerk of the Court’s website or by going to the clerk’s records office. That means there is no public notice of court filings or upcoming hearing dates – like the one Lopez said in his order he’ll hold to decide whether to lift the seal or make it permanent.

“The court finds that it is necessary and reasonable to require that the file be sealed,” Lopez wrote in his April 9 order. “All parties to this action have informed the court that they do not object to entry of this order.”

Road Ranger struck in crash on Interstate 595. A driver for the state’s Road Ranger program was struck by another vehicle on Interstate 595 in Davie Tuesday, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The driver was expected to survive his injuries and the other motorist stayed on the scene, Lt. Alvaro Feola said.

The crash happened just after 1 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the Interstate, beneath the overpass for Florida’s Turnpike.

The Ranger was inside his truck that was parked on the left shoulder of the highway and when it was hit from behind by a Lexus sedan, Feola said.

Months after favoritism allegations surface, Feb. 12 resignation is announced

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Broward County Judge Claudia Robinson submitted her resignation Thursday.

Robinson is under investigation by the Judicial Qualifications Commission, after a Local 10 News investigation showed that she showered Michael Ahearn, her former 2014 campaign manager, with lucrative appointments from the bench.
            More Bob Norman Headlines

Broward County judge: ‘Closer to my house, the higher the bond’

Robinson conceded the charges in November and agreed to a suspension in December.

Chief Judge Jack Tuter announced Robinson’s Feb. 12 resignation date.

Local 10 News investigative reporter Bob Norman tried to speak with Robinson at her home Friday, but when she came to the window, she was in no mood to talk.

“I’m going to call the police,” Robinson told Norman.

Norman discovered that Robinson showered Ahearn with more than 80 percent of her lucrative mediation appointments — worth about $45,000 to his law practice.

The JQC investigated and found that she “failed to uphold the integrity and independence of the judiciary” and recommended a 30-day suspension.

When Norman went to ask Robinson about that last month, he discovered that she canceled court for the day, with an aide claiming she was stuck at the doctor’s office.

The JQC reopened its investigation after that story aired, saying new information had come to light, which ultimately led to Thursday’s resignation.

The resignation takes effect Feb. 12, but Robinson is now on a leave of absence and is not expected to return to her courtroom again.

Cynthia Franke, Tyrone Javellana, South Florida couple, convicted of exploiting a 94-year-old woman

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A South Florida couple has been convicted of exploiting a 94-year-old woman with dementia who prosecutors say disinherited her family and handed over her $10 million estate.

The Miami Herald reports Cynthia Franke and her husband, Tyrone Javellana, each face up to 30 years in prison. A jury on Tuesday found each of them guilty of one count of financial exploitation of an elderly person, which is a first-degree felony.

Franke and Javellana are from Hollywood. They work as a stockbroker and a financial planner.

Sentencing is set for April 19.

The Herald reports experts testified that Franke took the woman to her attorney in 2009 to change her will.

Her husband also faces an additional charge of exploiting the woman’s now-deceased sister.

“Elderly abuse is a serious problem in this community and it will become even more serious as the population ages,” Richard Sherman, a prosecutor in the State Attorney’s Office Elderly Exploitation Unit wrote in a statement to the Miami Herald. “We will continue to aggressively prosecute elderly exploitation in our community to protect our seniors.”

    FROM DAILY BUSINESS REVIEW-

South Florida Paralegal Arrested on Federal Child Pornography Charges

A 54-year-old paralegal from Boynton Beach, Florida, faces federal child pornography charges after a multiagency law enforcement sting.

Richard Russo’s job title is “paralegal specialist” with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the Department of Homeland Security’s largest federal law enforcement agency. But now he is a defendant in a case involving the FBI and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, according to a Department of Justice statement released Wednesday.

Prosecutors charged Russo by criminal complaint with receipt and possession of child pornography—a charge with a minimum sentence of five years in prison and a statutory maximum term of 20 years’ imprisonment.

Russo’s attorney is M. Caroline McCrae, of the Federal Public Defender’s Office in West Palm Beach. She did not respond to a request for comment by press time, and she had filed no responses except to invoke her client’s right to remain silent.

The government’s court filings claim the investigation began after an internet service provider sent in a tip in July 2017 about suspected images of child pornography in an email upload. Another tip came in November 2017 from a second company, identifying an account belonging to a user with “R.S.” initials and an Outlook email address.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in March and seized several devices with information implicating multiple suspects, according to the charging document.

“Included in the communications were topics of sex with canines and ‘young,’” according to the complaint.

Prosecutors allege videos uncovered in the investigation show adult men having intercourse with infants and boys younger than 15.

Deputies arrested Russo and held him without bond. A preliminary hearing and arraignment are scheduled for June 14 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

This case was part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative to fight what prosecutors say is “the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse” via the internet. The effort includes U.S. attorneys’ offices and the Justice Department’s Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section. It works to identify and rescue victims by marshaling federal, state and local resources.

Russo’s case appears to have involved the FBI Child Exploitation Task Force, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Corey Steinberg is prosecuting.

The case is pending before U.S. Magistrate Judge William Matthewman

Ty won an appeal based on what evidence came into the trial. Winning on a technicality does not equate with innocence. How much does Ty charge people for his “consulting?” What does he do besides incessant Facebook posts.

Judges in Florida say politics don’t impact their rulings — that their age, gender and culture don’t either.

But their sentencing records show that’s not true.

Personal biases influence those who wear the robe — contributing to racial disparities in sentencing, a yearlong Herald-Tribune investigation using public records found.

The newspaper concentrated on third-degree felonies — the least serious and broadest class of felonies — and pulled voter rolls in each Florida county to determine the political registration as of September of every judge occupying the nonpartisan position.

Some Democrats in liberal South Florida are harder on blacks than many Republican judges across the state.

Judges appointed by former Gov. Lawton Chiles — a Democrat — hand out harsher sentences to blacks than those selected by governors Jeb Bush and Charlie Crist, both Republicans, when they held the office.

The 17th Judicial Circuit in Broward County has 21 judges who are registered Democrats.

These judges sentence black defendants to 28 percent more time behind bars compared with whites for third-degree felonies — a discrepancy more pronounced than in many conservative strongholds.

Recently retired Judge Thomas M. Lynch IV is one example.
The registered Democrat was one of the youngest judges in the state when elected to the county bench at 33 in 1984.

Lynch’s sentencing patterns don’t always fit his surfer persona.

Since 2004, Lynch handed down an average sentence of 155 days to white defendants across third-degree felonies, an analysis of OBTS data collected by county clerks shows.
He gave blacks more than double the time.He locks up blacks with identical charges and records for more than double the time.

The judge also sentenced whites to an average of 163 days for burglary, while giving blacks 247 days, despite the defendants scoring the same number of points at sentencing.

And Lynch sent away whites for an average of 100 days in lockup for felony drug possession, while giving blacks 140 days.

          Broward judiciary getting needed cleaning
Is the reputation of judges in Broward County Florida justified?

          Privacy Policy
The firing of one of Broward County’s DUI judges by the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission is a start to cleaning up a Broward bench that has become a national embarrassment.

The recent New York Times front-page story “Here Comes the Judge in Cuffs” contained comments from Broward’s elected Public Defender Howard Finkelstein who has referred to Broward judges as “misfits” working in a “clown house.” “Tell me one other courthouse that at any time ever had three judges pending [DUI] criminal charges, a fourth judge disbarred by the Supreme Court and another judge awaiting removal. And that doesn’t include the naked judge!”

Kudos to “Help Me Howard” for speaking his mind and not being intimidated or bullied by Broward’s bench and bar.

The Times article reported that Broward’s judiciary “is known for old-school nepotism and cronyism” where many judges “are the children, spouses, siblings and fraternity brothers of other judges and some of the region’s most powerful people.” Broward “seems to be ground zero for allegations of judicial misconduct.” This is on top of its unfortunate reputation as the nation’s White Collar Crime Capital (i.e., “Fort FRAUDerdale”).

Broward’s exoneration rate is the highest in Florida and the eighth highest in the nation. Broward judges are roughly twice as likely to be disciplined by the FJCD versus statewide.

Broward’s judges definitely are not overworked, since they handle an average of 32 percent fewer cases per judge than in Miami-Dade County and 14 percent fewer than in Palm Beach County according to the 2014 Statistical Reference Guide for Florida’s Trial Courts.

This suggests a problem not only with the quantity of Broward judges but also their quality. This may be indicative of a “judge pool” problem, since Broward judges normally come from the local bar (no pun intended). [At least one disgraced Broward lawyer, Scott Rothstein, is behind bars!]

To better understand the full scope of this national embarrassment, the FJDC should disclose all complaints against judges rather than just those resulting in misconduct charges.

But, some Broward judges like the “Surfing Judge” Thomas Michael Lynch IV apparently don’t believe in disclosure, since his divorce was removed from public view. Meanwhile, his son, Thomas Michael Lynch V, who works at The Ticket Clinic, just filed for retiring Judge Luzzo’s circuit seat. Perhaps Broward’s bar will have the courage to encourage another candidate from its thousands of members to discourage what the New York Times called “old-school nepotism.”

Kenneth H. Thomas, Ph.D., a South Florida based Economist, has written books, testified in Congress and lectured at universities on public policy issues.

Bailey just shot his arrogant mouth off like a typical judicial novice. But I can’t see where it would warrant his transfer to another division which is how bad Judicial Behavior is usually handled by a Judiciary more concerned with protecting itself than doing what is right.
It’s one of the main reasons confidence in the Broward Judiciary is at an all-time low with a Chief Judge that does nothing to discourage poor judicial behavior but attempt to cover it up and rely on short memory syndrome to make it go away.
Just another example of extremely poor judicial judgement unworthy of the office.
Bailey has always been a blowhard with little talent and even less restraint.

Three major candidate forums and Diaz is a no show. He send his wife to toe of them and an associate from DiPietor/Spechler’s office to the third?

I hear the associate didn’t fare well during the Q&A. She claimed in answering a question from Ty Javellana that Diaz never had a JQC complaint and never suspended by the Supreme Court. She also got tripped up trying to imply she was a current prosecutor until asked directly where she admitted she was a former prosecutor.

Could be more for the JQC since Diaz is responsible for what his surrogates say at these events.

Doreen Inkeles is a victim of illegal election law violations. Candidate Doreen Inkeles worked hard for over a year running a clean and professional campaign but still lost. Doreen Inkeles loaned her campaign $100,000.00.
Michael Lynch was her opponent. Michael Lynch’s campaign team was led by Campaign Consultant Michael Ahearn, Ahearn’s wife Megan Donahue and Ahearn’s business partner Tom Lauder aka Red Broward.
Doreen Inkeles spent in excess of $139,000.00, which included more than $100,000.00 of her own money, only to lose.
Doreen Inkeles spent approximately $112,000.00 for Campaign Consultants, advertising, mailing, radio advertising, postage etc.
Her opponent, Michael Lynch, employed a “win-at-all-costs, ask-for-forgiveness-later” plan through Campaign Consultant Michael Ahearn, Ahearn’s wife Megan Donahue and Ahearn’s business partner Tom Lauder aka Red Broward.
Michael Lynch’s plan through his campaign hired guns Ahearn, Donahue and Lauder aka Red Broward engaged in a communications media war utilizing Red Broward as its internet message center. The hired threesome engaged in a communications media campaign to destroy candidate Doreen Inkeles’s reputation and promote Lynch’s candidacy by systematically utilizing Tom Lauder aka Red Broward as an internet delivery system to the public to convey this message. In Doreen Inkeles’s campaign for example, Tom Lauder aka Red Broward and Dennis Shumate, Lauder’s hired cameraman mysteriously appear at a private fundraisers for Michael Lynch at Bagel Land and Maguire Hills 16 to do promotional videos which were later uploaded and presented to the public on YouTube. In the meantime, Tom Lauder aka Red Broward uploaded numerous videos for voter public viewing for the sole purpose of destroying Doreen Inkeles’s reputation.
This conduct is proscribed by Florida Statute sec. 104.071.
The legal community must work together to assure that no one ever again has to experience these despicable and unlawful election law violations and end “win-at-all-costs, ask-for-forgiveness-later” campaign. The JQC has made it quite clear this conduct is abhorred and violators will face severe consequences.

Lynch and fellow schleps will do anything to pinch off the public trough. It’s not like they’ve ever done anything but suck the cream because Daddy Lynch and Baby Lynch are Government Gofers big time.
The idea of Baby Lynch being Circuit Court is a joke. No wonder nobody has any respect of The Court anymore. It’s been taken over by underachieving political whores who deal with garbage punks like Ahearn and Co.
and they get away with it is the most unbelievable part.

Lynch cheated to win by creating scam with his best friend scumbag Ahern who recently cyber-hijacked Judge Usan’s domain name. Lynch, who was a hack lawyer and lackluster judge at best, gave stupid advice to Kollra to hire this scum and now Ernest pays the price for the “dumb as a rock” Lynch. Judges, ask Lynch about his ties to fatboy. Ask Lynch about his unethical election law participation with Tom Lauder (another one of his very good buddies) and Ahern. This dope would have had no chance of winning but for his association with these immoral and unethical scumbags.

How about all those campaign checks Lynch SURREPTITIOUSLY issued to numerous fictitious names at ATurd’s request. WTF is that about? What were they trying to hide / accomplish? Clear cut election law violations. Odd ball Lynch will have some explaining to do.

Lynch and A-Turd family are best of friends. Baby Lynch is TOXIC.

Kollra gets opposition due to his A-Turd connection. Lynch recommended the A-Turd buffoon since he knows A-Turd was successful employing the unlawful “Cheat-to-Win-ask-for-forgiveness-later” strategy.

Mike Lynch, who never had a chance to win without cheating, was only able to muster a pathetic 110 votes in his previous campaign for city commission.

Judges who cheat to win must be punished appropriately. Removal from office due to unfit to serve.

Campaign consultants, that are lawyers, who condone unlawful behavior should not exist in our electoral process and must be disbarred.

The Broward Judiciary has shown itself to be corrupt, incompetent and lazy using political operatives to achieve office without any ethical considerations or concern for consequences.
Robinson is not alone in her Pay to Play practices. This has led to a total lack of confidence in our judicial officers in Broward.
All Broward judges should audited to determine the extent of this practice and the JQC and the Bar should do their jobs to correct this trend. Why isn’t it being done ?

    JUDGE GREENE JUMPING SHIP!

Nassau County Judge’s Early Retirement Triggers Court Battle Involving Governor

A committee interviewing applicants for a Northeast Florida judge seat Monday was halted in the middle of its work by an order from a Tallahassee judge.

That’s after the same Leon County circuit judge last week blocked the governor’s ability to appoint someone to fill the Nassau County vacancy.

The dispute stems from the upcoming retirement of Judge Robert Foster, who is leaving days before his term officially ends, allowing Gov. Rick Scott to make an appointment.

Foster was expected to leave office at the end of his term on January 7, 2019. But in April he sent a letter to Scott making his retirement effective December 31, 2018, or four business days ahead of schedule.

Jacksonville attorney David Trotti sued to be able to run for the seat, and Circuit Judge Charles Dodson agreed. Dodson wrote that the “creation of an artificial appointment” had occurred. “The right of our citizens to vote, as specifically provided for in the Constitution with regard to the election of our trial judges, is sacred,” Dodson wrote.

He also said Trotti should be listed on the state Division of Elections website as qualified to run, which he was not as of Monday afternoon.

But the ruling didn’t stop Scott from having the Fourth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission proceed to interview some of the 18 applicants for the job as his administration appeals the decision.

Nominating Commission Chairman Pat Kilbane said his group was halfway through interviewing the fifth candidate Monday.

“We had some applicants from Clay County, we had some from Nassau and we had one applicant who lives in Broward County, so we had one applicant come up from Broward County,” he said.

The process was halted indefinitely, though, by a phone call from the governor’s office. Tallahassee Judge Charles Dodson had granted an injunction sought by Trotti.

In an email to the Fourth Judicial Circuit Nominating Committee on Monday, Scott general council Daniel Nordby wrote, in part “We are subject to an injunction requiring us to ‘suspend all of the Fourth Judicial Circuit’s Judicial Nominating Commission’s activities’ to fill the vacancy created by Judge Foster’s resignation. I therefore request that you suspend the interview and nomination process until further notice.”

Nordby continued, “I regret the extreme inconvenience that this decision will cause for the members of the JNC and the applicants who were preparing to interview with the JNC today. We specifically asked the Court to delay the effect of the ruling to allow the JNC to complete its interview process today, but that request, too, was denied. I understand that you have a number of outstanding and well-qualified attorneys and judges seeking to fill this vacancy. Should we prevail on appeal, I look forward to meeting each of the nominees and discussing their interest in serving as a circuit judge in the Fourth Judicial Circuit.”

In similar disputes, the Florida State Department has taken the position that Scott’s acceptance of a judicial resignation creates a vacancy that will be filled by appointment, rather than election.

Routine probate case was cause behind protest planes over courthouse

Wellington man claims estate was mishandled

May 12, 2011|By Megan O’Matz and Barbara Hijek, Sun Sentinel

When 80-year-old Lorraine Masler died in April 2008, the former bookkeeper probably never imagined that the dispensing of her estate would lead to banner-towing planes buzzing the Broward courthouse, casting aspersions on the public servants inside.

Because of her son, however, it has.

Alan Masler, a 56-year-old Wellington man, is the mystery figure behind the planes that appeared over the legal center of downtown Fort Lauderdale this week, bearing the fluttering display: “Florida u know this court is incompetent.”

Another message called the court corrupt.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office confirmed Thursday that Masler hired the aircraft to get his point across to the masses.

The stunt included directing people to a website, containing a play on the words “Florida u know” but which appeared to be only a slight variation of a common off-color phrase.

Recently, Masler appeared in the courthouse outfitted in a hat with the slogan.

“I welcome all this to be brought out,” Masler told the Sun Sentinel Thursday night. “They have violated all the rules of probate, all Florida statutes.”

Through his website, he said, he’s received numerous messages of support from the public.

In a story published Thursday in the Sun Sentinel, one kindred spirit — Martin O’Boyle of Gulf Stream, suspected of flying similar banners over the Palm Beach County Courthouse — hinted that he had a hand in the Broward flights.

Upon the unmasking of Masler, O’Boyle said playfully: “The story is all about the First Amendment! … The name of the person whether it be Megan, Marty or Michael really doesn’t make a difference, does it?”

It did to the Sheriff’s Office, which dispatched a sergeant and deputy to the Palm Beach County Park Airport near Lantana Wednesday to smoke out the responsible party.

No charges were filed, but questions were asked, for security’s sake.

In the courthouse, the focus of all the drama – Lorraine Masler’s probate file — totals three volumes.

The initial filings would not lead one to think that the case was anything but ordinary.

Masler’s will, drawn up in 1995, stipulates that her two daughters, Terry Masler of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Joan Masler Schwartz of Delray Beach, would get her jewelry. Her condo in Coconut Creek was to go to Joan.

The remainder of her assets were to be divided between her daughters and her son, Alan.

Trouble, however, started quickly. Alan Masler objected to his sister Terry being the executor.

She bowed out of that job and Wilton Manors attorney Michael Ahearn was tapped to dispose of Lorraine Masler’s property, pay her debts and distribute her remaining assets.

It would not be easy. Records show Alan Masler suspected that his mother had written a later will that was more advantageous to him, but somehow was lost or destroyed.

      It was never found.

Alan Masler said the estate was valued at about $400,000 but should have totaled more than $1 million. The missing money, he contends, remains unaccounted for.

The court file shows he claimed an inventory of his mother’s major possessions failed to include stocks, two diamond rings, sterling silver, crystal, china, antiques, clothes, TVs and “various gold-leaf glasses and platters.”

He lashed out at Ahearn, in records, saying he “has not nor can act impartially.”

And Masler claimed that court-ordered mediation was “based on fraud, intentional misrepresentation, concealment, threat, intimidation, fear, coercion, duress, bias, conflicts of interest and personal alliances.”

A 2009 settlement, signed by all including Alan Masler, set out in precise detail who would get what.

Of the remaining items in his mother’s condo, for example, Alan Masler got the TV, DVD/VCR player, a fax machine and a bar mitzvah album.

Finally, last week Judge Mark Speiser, the third judge who has handled the case, declared Ahearn’s duties fulfilled, signaling an end the saga.

      Perhaps.

“It hasn’t even begun!” Masler said. “It’s not over at all. They did not follow the law.”

No charges were filed, but questions were asked, for security’s sake.

        “security’s sake” ? 🙂
BSO’s went to LNA in person for intimidation sake.
A simple phone call would have done the job.

The Broward Cowards are proactive in entering premises, only when there’s no danger. One Seasoned BSO D/S called UN-Armed and peaceful Watson, “the most dangerous person he’s ever run into in his career.

What a liar. That deputy is just another example of the systemic corruption of Scott Israel’s Marxist goon squad.
If he’s calling Watson dangerous, then he’s just another Broward Coward, sucking to a scumbag tyrant judge.
This deputy coward, should be dropped and placed behind a desk. We need better cops in Broward.

Find out the names of these BSO D/S’s, and I’ll fly their names with enhanced VFR, over greater ft lauderdale.

We agree with most of that.

The pilot also would have had to file a flight plan and have it approve.

The sheriff when this happened to Masler was Al Lamberti.

Records show Alan Masler suspected that his mother had written a later will that was more advantageous to him, but somehow was lost or destroyed.

    It was never found.

Broward County Judge Claudia Robinson resigns
Months after favoritism allegations surface, Feb. 12 resignation is announced
By Bob Norman – Investigative Reporter

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Broward County Judge Claudia Robinson submitted her resignation Thursday.

Robinson is under investigation by the Judicial Qualifications Commission, after a Local 10 News investigation showed that she showered Michael Ahearn, her former 2014 campaign manager, with lucrative appointments from the bench.

Here’s some more proof that fukthiscourt.com AKA Alan Masler is nuts.
He comments using our name, “SFC”, then makes this statement:
“ATURD YOU ARE A FAKE, A FRAUD, A PHONY AND A CHARLATAN!!!”

Thought he claimed we are Ahearn.
          The guy is mental.

Here’s the lack of proof fukthiscourt.com gives on Masler’s website.

WHAT BS. He COULD put those documents on his own website, but instead blames others for his BS lack of proof.
