Has Howard Finkelstein issued a statement standing with the BLM movement, Gideon’s Army, fellow Public Defenders locally? If he did I must have missed it when I was reading about the Miami PDO and Palm Beach PD Office peacefully, safely, protesting and kneeling on behalf of BLM, the poor, minorities, against police brutality.
For years we have heard about the systemic failures of BSO, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood PD, the State Attorney and now during this pivotal time we hear nothing? Years of TV appearances, Help Me Howard. Silence now?
Can you please ask Howard if he is going to issue a MEDIA release statement advising that the Broward PD stands with BLM, the poor, people of color and they will march peacefully?

Will Howard support his employees or does it only matter during an election year when they stand up and show up at polls for him?
If he does NOT issue a media release statement what does it say? If Broward police show up and act like themselves and his employees are gassed, tasered and arrested what does it say about his legacy?
Bill- can you please ask Howard these questions? In appreciation for all you do here, thank you.

I’m somewhat perturbed that Howard Finkelstein has shown such a lack of leadership skills that he has failed at such a time when his voice could have actually mattered beyond the rhetoric we’ve heard for so many years.
        Bad form, Howard.

He has not and actively refused to participate alongside other offices in South Florida and the Country. His office is disheartened and frustrated. All they got was statements re: social media posts. And Gordon said morale was high? Laughable.

Howard because of his theatrics is disliked intensely by other Public Defenders in the State. Look at what he’s done to his own office, all for the sake of providing himself a soapbox.
Like so many, it’s fairly transparent he doesn’t really care about BLM.

With all of Finkelstein’s wrist-slapping, lip-smacking, tap-dancing media flapping nonsense, on his way out the door he shows he’s stood for nothing in the end.
He’s not called the Poison Dwarf by the judges for nothing.
Not showing recognition of BLACK LIVES MATTER is his biggest mistake.
          Finkelstein Is a phoney.

He didn’t..All the PDs across the country had some sort of protest on Monday…not Howard..It was an ex PD and employee who organized something…and that was on Monday for Friday!! Embarrassing…Way to go Howard!

Only if all proposed questions were submitted 24 hours in advance and meet with Strict Stepford Standards . Otherwise it’s another 40 years of Satz and Co.

Mostly a bunch of inexperienced candidates who should be running for public defender demeaning prosecutors and cops calling them all racist. Basically criminals are going to have free rein to cause havoc in our community. Prosecutors are going to be fired to bring in civil rights and defense attorneys. Victims will have no voice or justice. Cops will be handed out whistles while the bad guys are armed with ARs. The community as a whole better wake up before it’s too late!!

I was singularly unimpressed with any of the candidates. Same old unimaginative responses. Same old losers looking for a job.

I promise to dismiss any case that involves a white police officer arresting a black male. No, wait… I will dismiss any case involving a police officer arresting any minority. Or, maybe better, I promise to dismiss all cases. I will defund the police and the SAO. Abolish all criminal laws and declare anarchy for all.

            That’s my platform.

Howard apparently wants employees to show up as individuals not as an office. That’s awful.
It’s a dereliction of Howard’s duty as the elected public defender to actively refuse to participate and issue a statement supporting his staff and the racial injustice. Howard receives a salary to actively participate. It’s his job. Don’t let him off the hook.
    Good leaders show up.

So a candidate running for County Court Judge has an arrest for battering his wife and is currently in a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife. The ex-wife states that he is currently back on cocaine and is a complete alcoholic. How does this person qualify to run for County Court Judge?

And you still BATTERED HER. Will you be threatening to the staff Jacob. You are clearly unstable and drug addicted. Let’s pull the transcripts. Let’s pull the arrest report. You can’t be a judge by day and battering women by night. Make a choice Jacob.
