So it starts. Broward judges thumbing their noses at Tooty.
Rotate all these little twerps like they do in every other circuit in Florida and tell them what they can do when they start whining.

Uh oh. If Gundersen is for real, he loses another vote. If he caves, he looks weak and like a vote chaser like Weinstein.

The whole seniority system is nonsense. If they put the community above tracking votes then that’s how assignments would be made.

There is only one thing the chief judge can order his fellow judges and that is what division you are assigned to. Suck it up and learn felony domestic violence.

P.S. Gunderson should stop blogging and pay attention to what is happening in her courtroom.

    TOOTY HAS BEEN A FAILURE
ITS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN U PUT POLITICS ABOVE
    PRECISION
FLUSH TOOTY OUT AND GIVE IT TO GUNDERTHIGHS

ROTATE BROWARD JUDGES LIKE IN OTHER CIRCUITS
ELIMINATE THE PECKING ORDER OF CHICKEN CHIT JUDGES TO CULL THE HERD OF THE UNWORTHY, LAZY AND BURNED OUT
WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE
THE BROWARD JUDICIARY IS A MESS OF SELF INTERESTED-COMPETING MORONS WITHOUT A CAPTAIN AT THE WHEEL OF ADMINISTRATION
    TAKE CONTROL
    SHOW SOME COURAGE

Tuter had his chance. Hasn’t done very well. Then again, he’s had his hands full with a nursery of newbie dummies.

    Want some leadership?
Vote for change from the ranks of the rabbit warren chief judges in Broward. Return integrity to a battered judiciary of shell shucking self promoting palm oilers.

    Dear Judge Tutor

In my learned medical opinion Ms. Assspector cannot got to any Division that presides over depressing matters due to disability. Please create a Circuit Division forthwith that can encompass Adoptions, weddings, presiding over graduation of drug court and hearings on completion of diversion,.

Ledee will be put there. Alspector won’t get Family like she wants but she gets out. The new Judges block carries too many votes.

All these perpetually offended Broward judges should either do what they are paid and assigned to do, or give up the ridiculously overpaid and perks-heavy positions to someone who will undoubtedly do a better job without all the sobbing and handwringing.
The majority of Broward judges are a bunch of babies who think once they’ve attained the position, they’re should be on permanent vacation and are not answerable to anyone.
Why so many judges get opposition in Broward? Even a mentally challenged petulant bureaucrat should be able to figure it out.

On Thanksgiving Day it’s good to be thankful for all the Turkeys we’ve got sitting on the Broward Bench. It’s almost like having Thanksgiving every day.

Vinnie from Vegas has it off the board. You can’t bet it.
Word is Toots has made a decision and he ain’t changing it.
Assspector has 2 choices: 1. Go to Felony Domestic Violence
    2. Resign…………………..Go ask Ehrlich and B. McCarthy

Did she think she was running for some County Court early retirement position? Heck there it’s getting harder to shut down court a few times a week. Ask Arlene B.
Alspector should resign if she doesn’t have the goods to be anything but a puny County Judge. That will save Finkelstein the trouble of having to cream her.

      Scrap the clown…
Who cares what she wants. She does what she’s told or quits.
Tuter had better stand his ground or she’s but the first of the complainers.

Life is so unfair. Some no practice nobody has all the time in the world to suck off a bunch of condo commandos and douche bag low rent local political poohbahs to get a big old pay raise and a solid medical/retirement package and then is asked to sit through a day to day grind composed of either 1) listening to the tortured defense of scumbag batterers or 2) having to call out scumbag lying “victims” using the courts in despicable fashion. Oh Daddy, what went wrong?

Why don’t she just mobilize the voter blocks that put her in to the judgeship to go against Tuter’s gang?

Everyone knows a bunch of appointee woosies will buckle at the knees in the face of real power.

How many of them were elected contested fashion?

Susan Alspector has been a successful marital and family law attorney for 27 years. Susan should be placed in the division of her speciized area of the law. This is sensible for many obvious reasons.

My understanding is Susan has written a thoughtful and logical letter to our Chief Judge outlining in proper lawyerly fashion her position. At this time we should all support her and lobby the Chief Judge to do what is in the best interests of our Circuit and immediately stop the chatter here.

Dan Casey did high end civil work for 30 years and is now doing a division with 3rd degree felonies. He is not whining.

Olefson did all civil and is going to dependency without complaint.

      Suck it up

Judge Alspector is being treated quite shabbily. I am shocked a Circuit Judge’s request is being handled in the described fashion.

Susan Alspector has been a successful marital and family law attorney for 27 years and a dedicated radical feminist.
Do what is in the best interests of our Circuit and immediately conduct the chatter here and we’ll all be better able to make educated decisions about who would be best interested in upholding the myths needed by finding new male victims.

Judges should be well rounded in their knowledge of the law, which carries with it the continuing education necessary to manage the different divisions to which they are assigned.

Judges should be subject to administrative oversight to this end.

Judicial Rotation works well in every other Circuit in the State of Florida but has continuously been ignored in Broward in favor of a system of seniority. It has wrought the consequences of inequality among Broward judges and developed into a system of cronies and favored judges.

To allow Broward judges to think they can pick and choose the Divisions in which they work has lead to many problems that continue to plague the Broward Judiciary and does not improve the Administration of Justice.

It will take Leadership from the Chief Judge of this Circuit to correct the problems created by years of Mismanagement and the Institution of Judicial Rotation to finally bring about a much needed change in Judicial Administration.

  19. 2

    0

In a perfect world (maybe) all judges would be well-rounded & rotations would not be a problem. But just as in practicing law, a judge becomes knowledgeable & well versed in one or two areas, and my opinion is the public is best served but allowing that expertise to be utilized. In the big picture it makes for better justice. Rotation means a learning curve, which means mistakes will be made. And not in the best interests of justice.

Don’t know, but it works in other circuits. Of course, other circuits don’t seem to have the same political schmear as much as we do here. A lot of backbiting babies sitting on the bench.
It would probably cure some of the problems.

    Hey Asspector,

Everyone knows about your 5-page letter. I suspect Tuter threw it in the garbage. Now get to work!!! I also suspect this blog is going to be keeping an eye on you.

How about skipping the “my learned specially in law” and applying yourself to the job at hand. Most Broward judges had failed and were on the road to the financial dumpster before they figured it would be so much easier to milk at the public trough with a three day work week and two martini lunches.
You only hear the occasional whimper from them unless they crack up before hitting the bricks.
So do all of us a favor and quit your whining.
Judges around here really are a bunch of wimpy twerps.

  23. 7

    1

The real story is why Judge Tuter makes assignments based on seniority and not on picking Judges best suited to a particular job.

There are plenty of experienced Judges in other divisions that could have been moved to domestics. He shouldn’t ask he should simply assign.

The new Judges have a lot on their plate. It includes learning at school. Dropping one into a completely foreign environment when others could go in and be effective on day one is too risky considering these are some of the most dangerous offenders.

Move a sitting Judge with criminal background there. It does not matter if they want to go or not. It only matters if one is trying to keep people happy and that’s not the role of a Chief.

Hang in there Tooty. Don’t let these lazy judges continue to think they can pick a choose. As the old codgers retire, these newbies need to be kept in their place. Especially these new bimbo judges that think they’ve hit pay dirt. They are already being paid more than they ever made in private practice or their previous employment in government work. Make them work for it.

Why is it that this sort of slop always comes from judges in Broward? No question. They’re all under qualified clowns 🤡 looking for a free ride at taxpayers expense without the responsibility attached.

Think of the detritus the Jnc and Governor had to consider when someone with a record for dui was the best candidate to appoint to Circuit.

Of course. Since the appointment system always rewards the most qualified people. Her prior DUI was most likely the least heinous crime on the rap sheets of all the applicants.

Fingerprint all Broward judges. Drug tests are probably a very good idea too considering the number of drunk and drugged judges caught on the bench.

My name came first on the ballot and is at the top of the judicial directory too so why did I get the short end of the stick?

    1. 0

      3

It should have been me. My name came first on the ballot too. Broward voters made a mistake when they rejected me. I’m the only one with true domestic violence experience. I have restraining orders to prove it. Bitch needs to stop crying and step aside. If the governor does not appoint me to replace Snipes, I will run for something! Vote Kaplan and show bitches their place.

Gentlemen, we’re in agreement. Dave will carry the boxes of eagle trophies, Grillo is in charge of the plaques, Cavanagh the inscribed silver bowls and goblets, and the rest of you guys will handle my Girl Scout stuff. I guess I’m going to have to find another government job to have a place to store everything.

I had a nice cake too.

Susan Alspector is a brilliant attorney and will be an excellent Judge. I know that Susan is very happy about the division she was assigned to preside in. She will prove all of you wrong. She is an asset to the Broward County Circuit Court bench! You will soon see how dedicated Susan is and why she was elected in the first place!

Sounds to me like she’s getting the short end of the stick for a new judge. Why not put Rothschild in that division? That’s whats going to happen eventually anyway.

    2. 6

      1

AS Brilliant as she is…….she has NEVER
      1. PICKED A JURY AS AN ATTORNEY
      2. DOES NOT KNOW THE SENTENCING GUIDELINES
      3. HAS NO CRIMINAL EXPERIENCE
      4 IS NO GEOFF COHEN
This is a specialized division it requires experience
not some neophyte learning on the job
people go to prison in this division
      she does not belong there

  34. 6

Just keep an eye on her and when and if she cracks, you can bet the word will be it was from a pre-existing condition that most Broward judges suffer from and we have seen repeatedly raise its ugly head.

  35. 7

    0

Is it true in the 4 page letter she explained Fabianne or Rothschild should be moved due to their lack of practicing in family law compared to her 20 years of practice?

  36. 2

    2

Judges have the easiest jobs. All they have to do is be a referee. Lawyers supply them with the law. All they have to do is ditch the politics and decide the issues based on the law and not on who gave the biggest contribution to their last campaign.

All Broward judges should be well-rounded, hence gain experience in different divisions. I don’t understand what all the hoopla is about.

If they paid as much attention to what they are doing as they do to getting re-elected to these cushy jobs, you wouldn’t have these newbie Broward judges complaining about their assigned divisions and suck it up and make it work.
Judge Tuter should make it a fair process and Rotate judges like they do everywhere else.

  37. 8

    0

Maybe she’s being shunned because she’s another judge interloper who played the all too familiar Broward name game with her name appearing first on the ballot and slipping in without the blessing of the other trough feeders. Ever thought of that ?
There are plenty of other veteran judges who should easily be able to handle a trial division with no sweat.
Why else would a newbie be assigned a trial div. first call ?

  38. 3

    4

I campaigned with Susan during this last judicial cycle. She was a breath of fresh air and I know she will do well. I had occasion one day at a forum to sit and listen to her really interact with a couple, not just the 90 second elevator speech. I learned that she is smart, empathetic and well intentioned. I was unsuccessful myself, but I can tell you that she worked very hard and presented her A game. She will do well. I don’t know the exact contents of her letter, but absent a formal judicial rotation system in place like Miami it doesn’t seem unreasonable to make a pitch based upon your skill set. Let’s face it the electorate put her in office based upon her personal pitch as a family lawyer, so why not give them what they want if it makes sense.

  39. 8

I don’t think Alspector is off to a good start whining about her assignment. She is not the first or the last judge to get as assignment they don’t like. Good judges make the best of it.
She has a long way to go prove she’s a good judge.

After hearing a bunch of b.s. during the campaign from many candidates, I believe Cory Cawthon has the potential to be a very good judge.

Easier to talk the talk than walk the walk. Then it’s how little u can get away with doing. These r Broward judges you’re talking about.

Cawthon beat an African American guy, or at least he was on the African American palm card. Didn’t help him any. Oh, wait, my bad. It was that white guy. I can’t think of his name.
