CAUTION ASBESTOS

Longtime readers will remember a picture of one of the asbestos warning signs seen above from Room 510-M published on JAABLOG years ago.  Apparently, that old photo made the rounds at today’s County Commission Meeting detailing employees’ growing concerns with the old building.  However, since our source couldn’t say whether or not the Commissioners realized the signs still adorn the air handlers on the fifth floor directly below the SAO in the old courthouse, we figured we’d publish the above new photos, all taken yesterday, November 14th, at around 11:30 AM …

Might be time for the county commission to start offering settlements to judges, clerks, sao employees, ASAs, judicial assistants, and bailiffs who’ve worked in that building since that sign went up. How about a hundred dollars per month per employee if they promise not to sue and don’t pursue punitive damages? I’ll bet the new courthouse is ready tomorrow if someone drafted that agreement.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the air in the courthouse that a little air freshener wouldn’t solve. The hysterics being exhibited by a few judges are no doubt being caused by the inability to see beyond their own BS.
Judge Gold for instance has been squinting his eyes for years and rambling on pathetically ad nausea leading any normal observer to opine his maladies have more to do with premature dementia than mold spore.
And Judge Weinstein – Well, what can you say about this guy’s nose when it comes to his undoubted ability to sniff out a jelly doughnut or mold spore or a paycheck for doing nothing that hasn’t already been said before?
I’ve been working in the Broward County Courthouse for years and have a particularly discriminating nose when it comes to foul odors. And I call “Foul” when it comes to this ridiculous episodically induced drama concerning spore.
The odors these idiots describe emanate from their upper lip service to an absurd notion of self importance that has nothing to do with asbestos or mold spore.
More like an addiction to seeing their name in print. Give it a break already.

Yay. My office sits atop a mountain of 1970’s asbestos. Boo. My cursed man stomach won’t impregnate so Mr. Satz will let me join the living in the 110 Tower.

Please inspect Timothy L. Donnelly, chief of the Broward State Attorney’s public corruption unit offices as the source of the mold infestation, one must not enter Donnelly’s cave without wearing the appropriate hazmat suit. Decades of public corruption files growing mushrooms.

Did you check out the empty courtrooms last week. There’s absolutely nothing going on. Empty. Does anybody monitor the schedules of these judges to actually see who’s conducting court? Lol. And we needed a new courthouse for what exactly?

Getting ready to enter the courthouse thru a magnetometer that I could smuggle my grandmother thru and putting on my surgeons mask. Wonder what Gold will say when he doesn’t understand my argument because it’s muffled thru the mask as he’s sitting there with his scuba mask on upside down ! This place gets more ridiculous every day…

So many people act so strangely in court everyday that it seems it’s becoming an epidemic. Could most of it actually be caused by asbestos inhalation or is there something more sinister at work here ? I know one thing: I had lunch in the courthouse the other day and felt like I could have screen tested for the next “Aliens” movie until the following day.
Then I went to court and saw Katie quacking literally just like a duck in trial all afternoon. I had to ask for a bathroom break three times. Needless to say the courthouse was a sick building that day.

Whiney will soon be walking around when he’s in the courthouse in a plastic bubble to keep from transferring mold spore to his car. Lol. This sounds likes its hit the toxic stage by now.

Hide a box of fried donuts in any air handler on any floor in the old courthouse and Weinstein could find it 10 minutes tops! I’d put my money on it !

That Trump staffer Steve Bannon looks a LOT like the Ahern. They both have that fat head, no lips, and the crusty scales thing going on too. Could be the asbestos from him sucking in so much over these years in that old bldg.

Can someone post a pic of Bannon who knows how to do that on here?

It took a real woman like Peggy Gehl to drain Speckle’s swamp. Tobin did his part, true, but Speckles the Clown as everybody always knew was a ticking timespam without Pappy Boss Hog Ross to prop him up. He was a papier-mâché tiger like some of the junk on exhibit at Young at Art.
Speckles the Clown has been trying to recover his relevance ever since.

Tobin was a lot like Trump; he cut out the fat and the stupid … wish we had him back but a few years dealing with the lazy, incompetent judges in the 17th is enough for any chief judge. That’s unless you’re somebody like Weinstein. He makes an art of doing nothing.

If I’m not mistaken there is a man with a baseball cap on in your first pic that is not wearing a mask standing right behind the warning sticker. Read the sticker carefully.
I just don’t believe all the mayhem being stirred up by these people. I think it’s the same crap they were pulling when the controversy first emerged years ago when the proposal for a new courthouse was voted down by referendum.
It wasn’t until then that all the toilets started to overflow and this mold hoax was first perpetrated.
It was not a particularly well kept secret that certain people were purposely flushing entire paper towel containers in various bathrooms down toilets and that’s why the stainless steel paper fixtures were always out of towels.
I’ve worked in the old wing for 27 years and never suffered any kinds of problems.
Now Broward judges are complaining that the courtrooms are too small, etc. and the toilets have started overflowing again after the public has spent 160 million to build a new courthouse.
Something very wrong is going on here.

Now the morons don’t like the new courtrooms! When will it end with this ? Why don’t they move these pimps to the building occupied by Young at Art since the county is footing the bill anyway. What’s a little drive from Davie every morning ? LOL

In order for Kuntz to have a firm grip as the newest member up there it may require an extra stitch or two and elbow grease and spit and polish to come fully and satisfy the slippery slope and bottomless depth of expectations.

    Only unquestioning loyalty is allowed.

The tidal wave of departures continues. Christie, Kristine, Madeline, Rhonda, Diana, in the last 2 weeks. Jessica, Devika, Nate, Jeremy, skylar, Caroline, Sam in the last month. Not one chief or supervisor has any desire to change it. No one cares. All are dismissive of the reasons for the departures. But there are plenty of reasons. Fact is many have too many cases. While others have only a handful. Mental health court is supposed to be a priority but yet there’s no PD assigned to it. It’s common sense that if something is important that you’d at least have a couple of attorneys (good attorneys) assigned to mental health court. ERU is a waste of resources. Give those lawyers cases.

But don’t make any suggestions. Only unquestioning loyalty is allowed. If a person makes a suggestion or even hints at an idea that makes sense their legal abilities are questioned. The attorney is mocked and the idea completely dismissed. Or the person punished and demoted.

In the old days Cathy Keuthan would get mad and question your legal abilities if you started winning a lot of Trials …. she’s kind of a hater like that, esp towards male lawyers.

More leaving PD’s office every day. Pretty soon the slacker supervisors are going to have to take some cases because there won’t be anyone left to plea them out. Lol.
Hear 6 more are headed out the door on top of like 37 that called it quits within the last few months. Bad news for the slackers.

Hear Mike Lynch is telling Horowitz, Tuter and Rodriguez he is supporting each of them for the top job. Which one is Lynch Jr not going to screw? Maybe it is time to seek counsel from Daddy Lynch or Sprinks. Tobin kicked Daddy Lynch’s ass because no one believed a word he said. Oh boy, it is going to be a long six years.

Like daddy, like son. Daddy Lynch pulled the same tactic when Boss Hog Ross ran and lost for chief judge. Diaper Diaries Backman pulled the same thing when he was caught with his diapers around his ankles. Any wonder the courthouse is a sick building? Broward jingle judges are only out for themselves with every man for himself.

Hey, its me, in the jail, on my smartphone, are the new courthouse layouts still on the County website because I’ve been looking and I don’t see them.

Agree with @ unquestioning loyalty: Over 12 resignations in a months span, as a couple of names were missing. The first 4 lawyers in the list of resignations had 10 or more years experience. Soon to be replaced by lawyers with 10 minutes experience. Those lawyers when they are hired will be trained and supervised by people with…oh forget it. 🙈🙉🙊
    The turnover is not surprising.
2016 at the PDO is looking to be an “interesting” year.

The unquestioned loyalty is walking out the door with the multitude of resignations. Money talks, bullshit walks. Plenty more walking than buying the coolaide these days. Supervisors run if you give them a look like you have a question and are gone by 1:00 so they can prepare for their second job teaching at FAU. It’s no joke! No wonder they don’t want to take any cases. Spending way too much time at second jobs even though they’re making top dollar for doing nothing in the PD. Check the number of them working seconds for yourself at FAU.

THIS SPORE SPOOK IS NOTHING MORE THAN BUNK. IF THERE REALLY WAS A PROBLEM WITH DANGEROUS CONDITIONS THE EPA WOULD BE ON IT IN A MINUTE. IM THEREFORE HIGHLY DUBIOUS OF THE CLAIMS OF THESE WHINERS. ITS ALL A SHAM WHERE NO ACTUAL EVIDENCE HAS BEEN SHOWN THAT WOULD LEAD TO INDICATIONS OF UNHEALTHY CONDITIONS EXISTING IN EITHER THE OLD OR NEW COURTHOUSE.

Someone should call OSHA on this place and all of the employers … SAO, PD, Broward County and the State of Florida. Maybe then something will get done.

There’s nothing wrong with the old courthouse, just like there’s nothing wrong with the new courthouse. When you work there for over 20 years you get used to the crap they like to throw around so they don’t have to do much else. There’s no mold except what’s in the heads of these morons.

There’s a lot of people running around that work in the courthouse that don’t have enough to do except to bitch about air quality. I’ve worked in the clerk’s office for over 15 years and never experienced any problems with mold or problems with the air. I have seen a lot of complainers in this place however.
