CLOSED THROUGH AUGUST

Subject: (BACDL) Reopening the Courthouse

Please see the message from Chief Judge Tuter below:

After discussions with the major stakeholders, we determined the afternoon meeting regarding reopening is not necessary. The environment in Broward County is not conducive to reopening any of the courthouses for face to face hearings. As such we will continue on Zoom through the month of August and another meeting will be set mid-August to determine the outlook for September. Currently, there is no way we can comply with the Chief Justice’s workgroup recommendations for reopening.

Word on the street is that 2 employees tested positive for COVID-19 at west traffic and misdemeanor. And they’re not closing the courthouse

There was also some in the main courthouse. The first 4 floors have been affected and they refuse to close. They have them on staggered shifts.

The law firm depends on credit according to attorney J. Dennis Card, Jr. from a lawsuit Michael Weinstein against Mercedes CONO20006104.

This might be clarified by observing Michael Weinstein, the candidate, financial disclosure. If there’s no loans, it could be a different one.

    2. 5

      0

That’s because Weinstein has no business running for office..

Example: the sole reason Mike is Board Certified in criminal law is bc of the number of trials he had AS A PROSECUTOR, not as a defense lawyer.

Went to clerk on first floor – I wasn’t screened at all. I get the screening might be for the public and not attorneys but does that mean an attorney who is positive or exposed can just come in and out. And what does that say for further reopening??

Another month? There goes Private Practice, I hope some tapped into the (CARES) Act Loan. Fox 35 Orlando broke the story that FL has been inflating the numbers, Grossly. Does the Smith Mundt Act apply to an entire Region that has been destroyed because of False Reporting?

    1. 2

      0

Fox 35 did not say the numbers are inflated. They said some labs are not reporting negative test while this certainly affects the percentages it does not affect the number of positive cases.

      1. 2

“ERRORS FOUND: Florida’s positivity rate is skewed. #FOX35 went through #COVID19 test reports & found many clinics reporting 100% positivity. @orlandohealth
admits their number is wrong, saying it shows 98% positive, but it’s actually 9.4%. @fox35orlando”

We are saying the same thing. They did not report the negative numbers which certainly affects the percentage but the number of positive cases is 100% accurate

          1. 2

            0

Yes, after They changed the decimal point one to the left, going from 98% positive to 9.4% positive is a change in False Positives by 88.6%.

The Numbers will drastically change as of Today; since the Numbers will now go through the White House and not the CDC. So, if South Florida keeps on Faking the Numbers maybe the School Funding will be Pulled if they do not Open? My Tax Attorney is going to save me much, when they do not.

Clerks office should figure out how to get discounts on hazmat suits for employees. Maybe get some personalized! Clerk seal! I bet we can get group rates on full face respirators too. Sorry Brenda they only come in one color so there goes dress red Friday’s.

I like what they’re wearing. Maybe I can incorporate their garb with my new clerk hazmat work clothes. The shield may be a little easier than the full faced respirator and it looks like I can get my ID badge over the helmet.

When the Food Distribution lines are longer than the Free Corona Test Lines and Evictions are about to roll out on Aug. 1st; it will become really interesting down here. Seeing BLM has been elevated above LEO’s.

I can’t believe all these shitbirds pleading the out of custody people out now when in December there will be a fire sale for the ages. They need the nickels and dimes I suppose but they give everyone a bad name.

If you’re going to deny people the right to a jury trial for a 6th month in a row then you must release everyone from jail! This is ridiculous!?

Why is no one outraged by this!? Why isn’t Bill Gelin and JAABLOG causing a stink about this!? How can people be detained indefinitely in the United States of America without a trial? Why isn’t the media in an uproar!?

You know why they are stalling. A certain Operation went down, they can scrub all the video they want of that white truck, it is still out there. 882 days later, so much for a speedy trial and still no motive. How many witnesses interviewed?

    2. 2

It doesn’t matter how long they are in jail because we will all be out of business soon and there will be no lawyers to represent them. At least they have a roof over their heads and food to eat that’s more then we will have.

It’s on the judiciary website. You and your six friends that gave you thumbs up must all be lawyers because you are geniuses.

Just because you need the blog to tell you where your own asshole is doesn’t mean that you couldn’t have just looked at where your head is and found it yourself, you lazy fck.

Still seeking clarity on the accusation that Allison Gillman falsely accused a man of color of acosting her in a courthouse stairwell. It is of the utmost importance that this be addressed as she is seeking a position on the bench. This is more than an unsubstantiated rumor and should be addressed

Gillman will grow gills before she’s ever elected in this Circuit. Talk about a phoney. She stunk as a PD and needs the dough badly after being a loser in private practice.
She’ll never come clean about her stairwell fiasco because as I recall, it cost her her job as a PD.
Cough it up, Gill Baby. The truth will set you free.
And by the way, you’re just not the type to be shopping at Victoria’s Secret. Try Target.

How could the Sun Sentinel endorse her with this substantiated claim out there? Is it because they used the same qualification standard used for Andrew Gillum, who they also endorsed? Fish wrapper of a paper pushing a stinker of a candidate!

A neighbor of a friend in Melrose Community in Fort Lauderdale.
Buddy you won’t post my comment because you
and Rosemary O’Hara are the same in thinking.

    To Whom It May Concern:

As a reader of the Sun Sentinel and someone who tries to be an informed voter, I am appalled by the editorial board’s endorsement of Cohen over Richards. I know neither man and was interested in learning about each, but your article is so biased and slanted… and quite frankly, blatantly racist!

The first thing you mention about Richards is that he was born in the UK and is black. Only at the very end (which many will not get to) do we learn that he was actually raised in South Florida and a little bit about his educational and judicial background. Where do you mention the race, ethnicity and birthplace of Cohen?

You also never gave justification for claiming Richards had a “peculiar” campaign style and was running a “stealth campaign.”

The Sun Sentinel owes Ian Richards and it’s readers an apology, plus a fair article about both candidates qualifications. When I see things like this, it makes me disqualify ANY of your endorsements.

Please do better. We need unbiased information from our journalists, especially during times like these. I understand that you will make your endorsements, but your first job is to present fair and accurate information to your readers, so that we can make our own informed decisions.

    – Caitlin McAuliffe

P.S. I am a white independent voter. Not that it matters, but I want you to know it is not only Black people or people of a certain party who are offended by this.

NOBODY READS OR GIVES THE SCUM SENTINEL ANY CREDIBILITY WHATSOEVER.
ITS SAT QUIETLY SILENT OR SOME SAY HAS BEEN COMPLICIT IN THE CORRUPT ACTIVITIES OF BROWARD JUDGES FOR YEARS. GOES BACK TO THE DAYS OF MORON ROSS AND COMPANY.
ITS EDITORIAL BOARD IS A SCUM SUCKING POLITICAL PATSY FOR THE FAR LEFT AGENDA WITH NO SHAME AND LESS CREDIBILITY.
ITS SO CALLED INVESTIGATIVE REPORTERS ARE INEPT STOOGES AND DO NOT OPERATE INDEPENDENTLY FROM THE SAME AGENDA.
AS FAR AS THEIR ENDORSEMENTS ARE CONCERNED – THEY HAVE CALLED IT WRONG ON SO MANY OCCASIONS THEY NOW SERVE TO COST THE ELECTIONS OF THOSE THEY SEEK TO ENDORSE.
I WOULDNT USE THE SCUM SENTINEL TO LINE MY CAT BOX.

Hasbara and Philip Knight, Gibeonite Treaty is still a league even unto this very day. The Bolsheviks wish to make America Russia, circa 1917. It is not difficult to see: Lawrence Garbuz was the supposed Corona Patient Zero for Bal Harbor and New Rochelle; I do not need to say the demographics. Just like the property the Valentines Day suspect was taken down on, with all that Amazing Footage; we see you and know the game.
