CONFUSION!

There seems to be some confusion behind the scenes as to the recently issued directives to criminal judges regarding Zoom scheduling and hearings.

Some feel they were caught off guard.

It’s a frustrating mess.

In fact, just yesterday morning, before Marty Fein and Andy Siegel sent emails detailing the new procedures, Jack Tuter wrote the email pictured below to criminal judges, indicating there might be a communication breakdown somewhere along the chain of command.

In the meantime, more than 2600 men and women sit in restricted confinement, awaiting court hearings …

Hell no—this is satzianism as it infects everything…they don’t need or stinking Due Process OR Equal Protection to collect a paycheck, so why bother–nobody’s going to old them accountable anyway…

Big surprise. Nobody knows what they’re doing. Boo hoo. Azz kizzers and whiners on blogs. Rule: no litigation, no results.

The Florida Supreme Court suspended the right to a speedy trial. Extreme measure. Was laziness and sloth in judges seen by our founding fathers in the Bill of Rights? (Founded on natural rights of man.)

We need judges who are physically fit & have energy. And who went to a decent law school & know the law! Elections coming up. I’m going to look at those factors. Im retired and I’m telling you that now is not the time for dummies from 5th tier law school grads. No Thomas Cooleys etc.

2600 innocent (How they MUST be viewed by judges) caged “animals.” Is now what they are. Because Natural rights are only for humans.

Tuter is hopelessly and utterly clueless of what’s going on in his own circuit. He’s a bombastic twit.

He tries but I don’t think he knows much about Criminal. Weinstein, Tobin, Ross —all served in Criminal Divisions.

If I’m reading it correctly he’s excusing them from doing dockets because it may not be due process.

What is this nonsense? Other circuits have judges working 2-3 times a week. Since April. It took other circuits 2 weeks, not 2 months to get it together.

Broward will now hold Arthur Hearings and substantive motions once a month? Maybe? Unless the judge does not want to?!? Really? When divisions have 600-800 plus cases each? This is not acceptable. Just when you think Broward can’t get worse or stoop any lower they lower the bar.

Broward defendants being held in custody with no hearings for months. Send this information to The Guardian, Buzzfeed News, the Miami Herald, the Tampa Bay Times. Show the world all the Broward county failures. While your at it include information on the Broward judges that have been removed, the Broward school to jail pipeline, the disproportionate sentencing of people of color to prison, the Broward lab missing drugs, the endless wrongful convictions, the cover ups, the state failing to disclose any of it in violation of Brady, and the current constitutional violations during the virus. Send the evidence out to other national news outlets because it’s clear nothing will be addressed locally.

The newspapers aren’t going to report it- because besides lawyers- most people don’t care about criminals. If you want action- file a suit. Don’t wait for the press. Don’t wait for outrage from the citizens- because it won’t come.

The public never has known. The crazy judicial behavior always has overshadowed the reality of a deeply backwards deep south attitude here. Nobody is doing anything now because its more of the same attitude. Shoulder shrugging and no urgency like when there’s wrongful convictions or jail overcrowding or mass incarceration or racial profiling or corruption.

Great idea. This is a very insular group. Plus it’s anonymous so it’s great for learning real local politics. But no source-no news. Still congrats on blog for getting a lot of things in the papers.

Also a lot of know it alls just complaining about their bosses. Or people jealous of others. Why do I keep seeing pics of Gordon? People working there want his job and are jealous. Say something factual if you are going to hate. It’s gotta be ruby green crew. She’s unqualified and a single mom. If anything like other single moms she’s desperate and hates guys.

Does anyone other than lawyers & judges read this??

Tuter’s ridiculous attitude towards his duty would be funny if it weren’t so sad. There’s a lot wrong with this circuit, but Tuter takes the cake for shirking responsibly.

Why in the world would a CJ be asking his charges if they plan to have dockets instead of assigning them duties in extraordinary times?

    Due Process, Broward Style.
    1. Ask Judges if any of them feel like working.
    2. Ask the Clerk nicely to send some help.
    3. See if the Sheriff can spare a couple of his 20,000 laptops for Zooming from the jail.
    4. Beg Finkelstein and Satz to play along and hope they don’t get mad.
    5. Hope a Judge doesn’t meltdown on camera when some prisoner asks for a breathing treatment or do something else super stupid and embarrassing.
    6. Scrap the whole thing when #5 turns out to be impossible and just grin and bear it while everyone makes fun of the Judges on Jaab until court reopens in the summer.

this “politically correct” fraud is no different that Donnelly’s public corruptions unit, trying to make it appear as if Satz cares about how his trained subversive gang of ASA’s have conducted their business as usual for the last 44 years. The office is understaffed by a shill who cannot possibly undertake the massive history of false and wrongful prosecutions and convictions and correct them, particularly because the office would have to admit to the dirty felony criminal tactics used including all the perjuries and subornation without correction, Brady violations, and other criminal activities they knew about and never prosecuted, probably relying on statutes of limitations expiration they were responsible for, to protect each. Are those criminal ASAs going to be prosecuted for these felonies as the legislature also set forth as its intent in that statutes?
