DELAY!

The Soft Reopening has been delayed. The Stakeholders reportedly met yesterday, and decided to push back the proposed March 8th date for misdemeanor jury trials.

Felony “Technical” VOP’s are still slated to start in-person on March 15th in two courtrooms, with Marty Fein and John Murphy presiding. So long as there aren’t new law allegations, the VOP’s will be status’d before Fein and Murphy, and if not resolved, set for FVOP in-person. The VOP procedures are still a work in progress, so don’t hold us to anything. The jury trial delay is, however, a done deal …

Too funny. All them bitty baby judges trying to squeeze pleas with masked&dangerous trial dates. The backlog means they’ll have to stay until at least 3:30 daily when things go back. The messed up vaccine distrib means some days they’ll have to stay ’til 5:00.

Why? Is this “Mr Roque” making a comment? No one in Broward tries cases or stops judges from bullying them on speedy trial.

Any truth that Scherer originally had to put old Tuter out to pasture because he couldn’t pull his weight !

That’s what usually happens when they come from a decent firm. Like Stritefeld. Most come from Government or from bottom feeding solo practice. The ones from a good firm that aren’t keeping up often get a soft landing Robe. I don’t know about Tuter though.

This Mickey Mouse circuit has got to be the most mismanaged circuit in the State. U’ve got a chief judge whose only job is to stay put and do nothing but collect a check and the rest of our worthless judges follow suit like mindless morons without direction.

DVU accomplishes a great contribution to the community. Trials are not the only way to achieve success when dealing with complicated family issues. Watch a week of court before you speak.

I’ve seen it before. Some stupid firm hires a deposed Judge for whatever stupid delusional reason. Pompous disposed Judge wades in hard. Alienates everyone. Can’t shake the hangover of being a dick. Everyone collectively holds breath. As time goes by even stupid firm management realizes Judge was disposed for a reason. Zero value added. Dead weight. Brings in nothing but sandwiches for lunch. Pompous Judge sniffs the air over time. Realizes another cushy Judge is on the line. Realizes better get with the program or be exposed and on the street again. Experiences a transformative moment. Becomes the pleasant guy hanging around the Break Room that may actually be able to help with some research or an introduction to a former colleague on a firm case. I’ve seen it before. Don’t ask me more. Just please be nice.

    https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-02-27/group-plans-to-launch-recall-effort-against-newly-elected-l-a-dist-atty-george-gascon

Victims rights advocates on Saturday kicked off their recall campaign against newly elected Los Angeles County Dist. Atty. George Gascón, who has vowed sweeping criminal justice reforms to the nation’s largest prosecutor’s office.

The recall campaign group held a “victims vigil” outside the Hall of Justice downtown and planned to gather the minimum of 20 signatures required to file a notice of intent to formally begin the recall process next month. About 100 people attended the event, organizers said.

The day he took office, Gascón announced an array of sweeping changes that included ending the use of sentencing enhancements, severely restricting when prosecutors can seek to hold defendants in lieu of bail, ending use of the death penalty in L.A. County and stopping the practice of trying juveniles as adults.

I hope Tuter will be monitoring what happens in Miami when they begin holding jury trials LIVE on March 15. If u read the article in today’s Miami Herald, it sounds like it might work. Incoming Chief Judge Sayfie has put a lot of precautions in.place. But jurors might not like being escorted place to place in the courthouse like schoolchildren. Two at a time in the elevators and on escalators. Panels of only 35 to be questioned at a time in the MAIN jury pool room. How far will this go in reducing the backlog? And at the risk of more people contracting COVID? Sounds risky to me.

    1. “We were going to do some form of jury trials in March, but at the request of the state attorney and the public defender, we moved that to April,” Tuter says. says:

Why bother with Chief Tuter. He’s along for the ride. Its whatever Pryor and Weekes and Forman want. People hoping things should become normal like other places with the Judges in charge are upset. Finkelstein was famous sure so before he was the power. But his retirement hasn’t changed anything at all. The voting muscle/power is moved to be with the above three now.

Wrong. Because of pandemic the Governor gave him & only him the power to write the admin order that gets us open again. Morons on this thread. He can do it alone.

Tuter is more concerned with collecting a check than he is with coming up with a workable plan to combat this virus. That’s fairly obvious.

      1. 3

        2

Whatever it is, the Judges keep voting him in. There isn’t any solution, unless the Supreme Court does something to override the situation. The Judges seem to be happy letting everything pile up. Nobody ran against him I read (Tuter). The Sun Sentinel doesn’t care either. What else could force a change. Maybe BACDL. Let’s pray.

It kept a lot of ole Broward scum sucking judges on the bench in the old days. We got the cases and dosh in exchange for hefty campaign contributions and endless ass-kissing sessions ! Lol
Better representation than the sell them down the river Public Pretender trash we’ve got now who wouldn’t be able to try their way out of a wet paper bag anyway.
We can in part thank Lit’l Howie for the junk that went South in the PD and the lack of good trial lawyers and the lack of will to see anything through. Now he just gets sued by former employees with a gripe to settle ! Lol

“Such conduct is deplorable and were it not for [Diaz’s] lack of prior disciplinary history and his acknowledgement of his conduct, the panel would consider forwarding this matter for trial and a more severe penalty,” the commission wrote. The commission backed off imposing a longer suspension so his colleagues wouldn’t be burdened by the extra workload.

No doubt about it: CJ Tuter is the most incompetent idiot in Broward Judicial History!!!

You just never know who/what will pop up during Broward bond court hearings, such as today’s hearing and Zoom user Tony Parks choice of background image. He made a very brief appearance before Judge Blackmon removed him. Will work on getting a short video posted later today, but this screen capture will due for now.

Ken Felon Jenne, a Clerk that the Lord talks to directly, a PD that crashed into a policeman car with a bag full of drugs, a State Atty so messed up they made movies about him for convicting the innocent, drunk driving Judges, Judges removed and suspended and some disbarred for supershady things. Sheriff Tony fits right in.

Broward County should be overseen by Chief Judge Marx or a Speacial Appointment of one of the DCA Justices. There’s no other way.

Miami’s new Chief Judge, Judge Sayfie, is also eminently qualified. However, wouldn’t a US District Judge be a more logical choice to straighten things out?

If you are not sure if the latest patches are installed on your email server then contact your IT staff ASAP since literally every second counts in this matter, because once they get into your email server then they install “backdoor access” to your ENTIRE computer server system https://krebsonsecurity.com/2021/03/at-least-30000-u-s-organizations-newly-hacked-via-holes-in-microsofts-email-software/

Reality is that President Trump ordered the governors in charge & state of emergency was declared by DeSantis & as to the courthouse the chief judge is the only guy can do it. He’s gotta open the place up. This is against the constitution 110%
