Im sure this will be really helpful when he tries to get re-elected. That quote on a flyer will absolutely ensure he doesn’t get re-elected.

The tweets they included give me hope. The world is shocked by this behavior. Maybe tuter will actually move her? But prob not.

Judge Tuter worked for Bill Scherer. He got appointed because of Bill Scherer. I think he should resign the Chief Judgeship now. I know he would never do anything inappropriate because of his relationships. But people talk and say stupid things. Like wondering how Judge Scherer even got the case in the first place. The 17th Circuit has suffered so much already. He should shut everyone up by letting a new person steer out of this most recent mess. Even if they’re dumb people saying dumb things he should shut them all up by letting someone else try her hand.

It’s the Judge’s job to control the entire courtroom, including her former colleagues at the SAO.

JT, if you’re reading (we know you are), move her for the sake of all the hard working Judges who never embarrass 17.

He should’ve put Murph on it. It never should have been hers. This mess was predictable.

Peter was saddled with Jack’s rotten advice throughout his time back when Jaab and Howie were calling the tune. He can’t blame anyone but himself this time.

Omg she hugged them?!!!! If her bias wasn’t clear before, she drove it home with that. Imagine a judge hugging defense counsel after sentencing. WHAT?!!! Also, at least facdl wrote a letter. What the fuck is BACDL doing??

Seriously, we as defense counsel endure so much abuse. Every single day. It’s so unfair and I’m getting so tired of it. The prosecution does whatever they want without a check or balance. I’m bad faith usually. Then we get blamed for their unresponsiveness. We are constantly pushing this Boulder uphill and I’m tired. I’m so tired.

Those of you who are pissing and moaning as criminal defense lawyers should take a breath, woman/man up and stop bitching. You made a choice to the practice you chose to go into. Perhaps you haven’t looked at Chapter 960 and or the Fla. Constitution with regard to the right’s of the victim/victim’s family. If you can’t handle it go into probate practice and make a ton of money. SAO5

      921.143……..as referenced in chapter 960 victim impact…

      (2) The state attorney or any assistant state attorney shall advise all victims or, when appropriate, the victim’s parent, guardian, next of kin, or lawful representative that statements, whether oral or written, shall relate to the facts of the case and the extent of any harm, including social, psychological, or physical harm, financial losses, loss of earnings directly or indirectly resulting from the crime for which the defendant is being sentenced, and any matter relevant to an appropriate disposition and sentence.

Victim has a right to make a statement, but it “shall relate to the facts of the case….and any matter relevant to an appropriate disposition and sentence.” Since when does the conduct of the attorneys, right or wrong, have a bearing on sentence? Or are you suggesting the client shall be punished for the sins of thy counsel?

Or better yet, no one knows or cares how her name is spelled outside the family fiefdom.

She’s not a judge, she’s a little girl. She seemed more concerned with being liked by everyone than controlling the court. It was easy for her; she picked a side and stuck to that side while spitting on the defense for doing their jobs. She made all judges look bad. I don’t know about you but I’m used to seeing judges walk off the bench and go to their chambers after a case is done. I’ve never seen a judge come down and hug it out with the state and/or victims.

Exactly my thoughts as well. The judge goes to their chambers after court is over. They are to REMAIN NEUTRAL.

I hope that finger gets stuck up every opening as possible and she gets disbarred or suspended for 91 days. Take the Kaplan class again in professional responsibility. Hand signals are not allowed unless for sign language. And go F ind yourself.

No it’s an eye lids, eye lashes and eye brow appointment. The nails can wait.
Judge Diaz has she pled out in court for solicitation prior to taking the bench.

There sure is no shortage of trash to collect when it comes to Broward Judges and the lack of professionalism touted from the bench. I’ve been concerned about the ability or in this case the lack of ability and demeanor shown by Judge Elizabeth Scherer from the very beginning of her tenure as a judge here. She simply doesn’t have what it takes to sit as a judge in Broward or anywhere else. This is exactly what happens when any judge lacks the maturity to sit in judgement of others and when politics takes a front seat to ability.
I sincerely doubt that ChiefJudge Tuter, since he used to work for Scherer’s father will do anything to remedy the situation judging from his actions in the past and his lack of leadership. He has been a constant disappointment in terms of his leadership qualities tending to provide cover for errant and incompetent judges. Broward has continued to live up to its reputation of providing the worst oversight of judges in the State and will continue to do so as long as the prevailing political situation holds sway.
