FIX THIS NOW, PETER!

blogg Ask Azim Ramelize …

The sleek new courthouse is partially open for business, but the festivities are muted due to the embarrassing, seemingly patchwork ramp that connects the North Wing to the new addition.  The long hallway has already caught the attention of the Sun Sentinel and ADA attorney Matthew Dietz, who is on record stating the ramp’s angle is steeper than Federal standards allow.  As one courthouse regular puts it, even if the slope is legal, it’s definitely not accident or lawsuit proof.

Today we shot a couple videos with APD Azim Ramelize to show just how fast the ride down is, and how straining the climb back up will be for folks in wheelchairs.  Video Number One is here, and Video Number Two, wherein Azim discusses some of the other problems in the existing courthouses facing disabled folks, is found here.

Let’s hope Peter Weinstein, who has made the new courthouse his number one priority, addresses all of the issues immediately, and doesn’t leave them for the new chief judge to solve … *

* The CJ election is February 1st.  Early voting is currently underway.  Jack Tuter, Fred Horowitz, and Carlos Rodriguez are the candidates.  The new boss takes over in July …

Gimme a break will ya ! Whiney Weinstein is way to busy sniffing out his next free lunch to concern himself with any problems handicapped people might have in this boondoggle of a new courthouse that resembles a hospital more than any courthouse. Horrible really. Only in Broward would they design a clownhouse that’s not handicapped friendly! Wait until the summer rains hit and watch this place leak leak like a sieve. Some of the cheapest construction I’ve ever seen.

Could they built a building any cheaper ? It’s got courtrooms that look like they belong in a daycare center. The only things missing are the multi colored plastic building blocks. It’s the kind of junk you see at Young at Art ! Lol. Why didn’t theyvinyl the walls too ?

Could this place have been built anymore cheaply? Used the bathroom on the 9th floor and the toilet handle broke right off.

Though Weinstein wants public credit for this building, he has no power over it. This is a pure County Commission project. I would guess the last time a judge had any meaningful input in this place was when Tobin as CJ met with the commission at the earliest meetings. Even when judges got to see the mock ups in the 110 tower and pointed out all the design flaws of the courtrooms themselves, no one listened. All those flaws made it to the final project.

Weinstein is the emperor with no clothes when it comes to the courthouse. It would be karma if the grand opening didn’t happen till a new CJ is in place if only to deprive Weinstein of the only reason he ran for CJ again, to cut a ribbon with giant scissors!

Weinstein fake political power is even more of an illusion now that the Leader is in the White House. No more arts council and Hanukkah parties.

LIKE THE OLD COURTHOUSE BETTER. THE NEW COURTHOUSE IS REALLY RINKY-DINK LIKE MOST OF THE JUDGES INCLUDING WEINSTEIN. THE SOONER THIS CONSUMMATE TROUGH SUCKER RETIRES TO CENTURY VILLAGE THE BETTER.

You think Tooty will be any better ? Rodriguez won’t get any votes and Horowitz has too much baggage in his closet.

Nobody’s forgotten Rodriguez’ pranks and doubt he’ll get a single vote other than his own. Hope it goes to Horowitz or we’ve got another do nothing bureaucrat if it goes to Tooty Fruity milking at the nipple.
Weinstein has been worthless and spent more time trying to steer Baby Weinstein cases than anything else. He’s always lived off the fat of networking providing nothing for it. At least that scumbag Ross provided some type of moronic entertainment.
You got to hand it to these self serving yankers. It’s like pigs at a trough as long as the public is footing the bill for their feed.
If I had to call it, it will be Tooty Fruity unfortunately at the helm of this sinking ship with ribbons and backroom greasing from Whiney.

Shocked at how cheap looking and poor quality the new courthouse is. The designer and architecture get a big fat “F”. It is Ikea mixed with K-mart. It’s an embarrassment. Soulless and sterile

Bobby was one of the funniest people I’ve ever known as well as being a good judge and fine person. Wish we had good judges like him today instead of these career political hack losers we’ve got now.
Sorry to know he won’t be with us anymore.
My thoughts are with u Brad.

If one of them was in a chair they’d customize the entire courtroom with proper doors, lifts, ramps, you name it. Lawyers and the general public get to have the door slapped in their face, literally.

And he spent more time off the bench in his last
7 years than he spent on it.
Is it just me or are the new courtrooms way too small ? And it seems like they smell of plastic and mold.

        1. 1

          1

That smell is from the toilet. The Judges, JAs etc all share bathrooms in new side so its another problem in unexpected consequences.

    Florida Judges hello-
It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.

Show some damn leadership for once.

New court house now can we get some new judges that actually read pleadings? In family Bailey wasn’t bad is he transferred out? Ehrlich has no scandal but makes her up her own whacky facts. Is Contini out or in fam? What a mess

The new courthouse is comically deficient in so many ways ! First time yesterday and I can already see many problems and I’m not just talking about the ramp. Wish it was more like Courthouse in WPB. Can’t we do anything right in Broward? 🙁

  11. 3

Saying Judge Weinstein has anything to do with the condition of this ramp is as preposterous as saying he has any control or reponsibility for the behaviors of the Judges. He handles assignments. That’s all.

    1. 1

      2

Weinstein is just another consummate bureaucrat that can’t do anything but suck at the public trough and stack jelly doughnut boxes to save for momentos and then call it public service. That’s his legacy to Broward. You expect way to much from this loafer. As long as he can milk the trough that’s all you can expect unti
he checks out. I’m surprised he hasn’t suggested turning this ramp in the new courthouse into a bowling alley for the lazy judges that do next to nothing under his watch. He could inaugurate it by rolling down the ramp himself instead of a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Reminds me of a walleye salmon. A real Q ball.

It will be wonderful when politicians like Weinstein retire once and for all and leave Broward to a new generation of talented leaders that aren’t so readily identifiable with the group of relocated political fortune hunters that have made our home the butt of jokes these last 30 odd years.

        1. 1

          0

Brother you said a mouthful ! Weinstein is utterly useless. He needs the ramp. He’s got more chins than a Chinese phone book and is as dumb as two bricks. Leadership ? Not from this worthless toad !

It looks like an individual less physically fit than Mr. Ramelize would potentially tip over or have trouble stopping at such a speed. Why not install a moving sidewalk? Or level it off and put a wheelchair lift at the end where there may have to be a couple of stairs? This is oddly designed.

Are you for real blaming the Judges for the many flaws in the new building. The County is in charge and any complaints or suggestions were met with deaf ears. They wantediluvian to do it on the cheap and this is the result. Blame the Commissioners and County Administrator Berth Henry

AZIME WAS A PROSECUTOR IN MIAMI YEARS AGO. BE CAREFUL WHAT STORY YOU LISTEN TO ABOUT HIM AND WHY HE CAN’T WALK.. HE HAS ABOUT 20 VERSIONS OF WHY HE’S IN A WHEELCHAIR. ALL ARE VERY DIFFERENT.

I DON’T THINK I EVER HEARD SO MANY FAKE STORIES.

    1. 3

      0

Just a sad, attention seeking goofball that thinks all is forgotten by making a move to Broward from Dade. Don’t be mislead by pity. There’s an interesting story behind what’s on the surface. Ask him the real reason why he’s in the PDs office in Broward.

Remember a judge in the 80’s 90’s, in a wheel chair, rumor was shot in a home burglary, think the truth was polio.

I hope Chief Judge Tuter will consult Scherer and Weinstein on most every important decision concerning the Circuit. Conversely Chief Judge Horowitz should surely consult Ross in the same fashion.

For crying out loud, when will a Judge of the future step up to the plate?

Is Judge Robinson doing ok? He seems like he’s enjoying it up there but like in a power trip way or something. He should cool it on the asas, pds and everyone else giving it their all in a lousy environment.

Word is that Judge Gundersen has cancelled all previously scheduled trials for January and February in the Family Division she took over from Judge Tim Bailey. No big deal those people who waited 6 months or more to get a trial date. What is a few more months? This is the same woman who campaigned that since she spent her whole career in family law she would be ready on day 1. Most likely she is permitted to do this because she gave her vote to Tutor/Weinstien.

TOOTY WILL BE MORE OF THE SAME LAZY INEFFICIENT AND INCOMPETENT SLACKERS THAT WEVE HAD WITH WHINEY WEINSTEIN AND CO.

Are they stacking the Broward bench with blond bimbos ? And of course you’ve got the status seeking SA green morons playing the same game they’ve always played hoping to get there themselves one day if they suck up hard enough.

Let’s start with learning how to spell Tuter! Clearly you don’t know him or his work ethics. As they say… the things that people say about others, is truly how they feel about themself!!!

Tooty as chief judge in Broward? This ought to be really good! Lol. We’ve already got one mini orb and scepter parading around. It keeps getting better around here.

Ilona Holmes the greatest person that ever lived once so chummy with Ana Gardiner and Ken Jenne and she’s supposed to dispense justice based on her judgment and gauging credibility of those appearing in court give us all a break and retire already.

Broward skag judges suffer from the worst cases of sloth in the state; lazy as hell and think once they become a judge it’s easy street and don’t have to do anything. Of course Whiney Weinstein sets the worst example for this kind of behavior because he does next to nothing himself. These howdy doodys need to be shown a different road, one where they are actually accountable. Vote these lazy slackers out of office at the earliest time. Put them all out on the street.

A beautiful home. I was there many times in the mid-70’s because I dated a woman named Phyllis that rented a room there. We were introduced by our mutual friend Murray. I’m surprised the price was dropped so dramatically because it’s a beautiful place.

The sooner Trump fires all the Hillary holdovers the better. If they can’t get with the program, they should all take a big hike off the government dime.

They have done a very poor job on the new courthouse. Many problems exist that need to be addressed. I can’t believe they’ve spent this much money on such a crappy new building. I still smell mold and the bathrooms ridiculous and are not being kept clean at all.
