Peter Weinstein called this afternoon to confirm the posted GM opening is no longer an internal announcement only. The position is now available to any qualified applicant, and the deadline for applications has been extended thirty days from today.
Thanks to the Chief Judge, and to TJ Reddick, for sending out a letter requesting the changes this morning. And thanks to Alexandra Rieman for breaking her silence around noon today, by telling us she’s still deciding whether or not to apply ….
Nevertheless Alexandra Rieman is the most experienced and best qualified for a probate magistrate position. I doubt you will find anyone more tailor made for this position.
Jean Costa. Hands down more qualified than Alex.
Alex has a haughty and arrogant demeanor imho and shouldn’t be a GM. Let her run for Judge if that’s what she wants.
Translation: Rieman is getting it anyway even though a probate paralegal could do the job?
DING DING DING!! You win the prize!! It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
I DON’T THINK SO

The most qualified would be a practing probate attorney or probate staff attorney, not someone who hasn’t been dedicated to probate for 5, 6,7,8 years doing general counsel work.
Duh.
Keathan Frink all day long
Jahra’s ship finally came in?
Jason Rosner for GM!!!
CLEMENT DEAN
Place the credit where it’s due: thank you Bill.
This “appointment” woulda probably snuck in under the rug had you not exposed it.
Is it a probate only position?
Wasnt Alexandra under Grossman when he was double dipping….his pension I mean.
It was Grossman who was double or triple dipping. Ms. Reiman was probate counsel for a number of years while Judge Grossman was there. She is an expert in the area of probate.
I think Grossman is the one to tell you what she’s expert at
Great Job Bill. This was going to be a hand-off to Reiman and you put the Kabash on it.
If u hadn’t caught Weistein with his fat fingers doodling out the proceeds of the public cookie jar (internal announcement ) and then publicized it, you can bet the scam would have been a done deal. Good work.
These public trough plowers like to keep it in the family. That way they think they have a better chance of insuring the undying loyalty of the recipient when they get their tits caught in the wringer the next time and need a return favor.
Watch them close. Watch them constantly. Remain vigilant of these Broward Judicial Bureaucrats. They’ve proven repeatedly they can’t be trusted.
I hate to burst the bubble but who shall apply that’s qualified? The lawyers mentioned above won’t take a drastic pay cut. Who?
Anybody but Reiman
Scuzbag with sleazy connections to the king of sleaze Grossman. You need a barf bag to be in the same room with either of them.
Rieman’s been greasing the pole for years !
Do these non probate lawyers really want this probate/guardianship GM position? It’s not very fun.
Thought BossHog Ross was giving it all to ATURD
I don’t think Rieman deserves a promotion but Pugh does. Why not give Pugh the job and put Rieman in charge of Admin?
Would Pugh take that much of a pay cut down to GM level ($99K a year)? Doubt it seriously.
Better idea: Why not send Rieman down the river with her buddy Grossman!

Geez. Let her have the miserable little job.
If Reiman gets the job, Weinstein will be rightfully and aggressively accused of blatant nepotism. Just Saying
You need to understand that this is by no means a promotion for Ms. Reiman. It is a lateral move that pays about the same as her current job. If anything the JM position is more specialized work and way more time consuming.
Hmmm, then why great the wheels for her to get the job? Because it is much easier for the next chief judge to shitcan her as counsel then if she is GM
Child psychology may work on some of the morons here but I hope the cynical and transparent attempts at rationalizing a Rieman for GM hook up are not further confirmation of what this will bring to the bench namely more anger, arrogance and sense of entitlement.
