Jesica Mishali tried to tell everyone that the detention deputies were supplying prisoners with phones and other items for money but everyone wanted to keep pushing that she was having sex with her client. How else are these prisoners getting handcuff keys, phones and other contraband ? Even more suspicious is the fact that the Sheriff’s office is doing their own investigation.

Ok, she could be right. The cards are falling as she said. But why did they fire her at OCCRC after looking in the laptop?

Put the big mouth, loud mouth bailiff from usan to watch those emergency exit doors that everyone go’s in and out of into the north wing. That bailiffs mouth is so big and loud that she doesn’t need a radio. When she speaks she can be heard all the way to the beach. She’s better than a megaphone.

He can join Ross while he plans his retirement in various stairwells of the courthouse. They can rename them “THE LURKERS ” and name a wing of the new courthouse after them.

DO NOT put one of the NY bailiffs to watch those emergency doors whatever you do. Those clowns are too old too fat and talk too much, plus they would probably be sleeping as a murderer ran right past them escaping from the courthouse. They do tell great old NYPD war stories though.

Wow , so the chief judge has nothing to do with courthouse security ??? Really, WTF. Is he kidding, what a joke. The guy doesn’t even carry a docket or workload of any kind. Not in charge of courthouse security, what a total moronic idiot. And this guy is our chief judge. Wonderful.

So let me see if I’ve got this right. The bailiffs take a courthouse security and emergency situations training test recently but are given all of the answers to the test by a bailiff supervisor. That really explains alot about how incompetent they were on Friday during the escape. Tells me alot about the professionalism and integrity that these individuals and their supervisor have. Explains a whole lot about Fridays fiasco. And nothing happens in regards to cheating on the test ?

and how many times has BSO run practice drills for this type of event?? (never) The County Commission should look into that before giving in to Scott’s demands for more money – i.e., find out if their money is being well spent.

And more guns Sheriff? What, you think shooting the runners is the way to go?? That is just plain lazy

Has anyone notified BSO internal affairs regarding the bailiffs cheating on the test with the help of their supervisor. They really need to know what goes on in the courthouse.

A detention deputy temporarily lost his handcuff key in a criminal courtroom Tuesday morning, four days after a murder suspect made a daring and successful escape from another Broward County courtroom, a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office has confirmed.

Tuesday’s alarming discovery was made in Broward Circuit Judge Elizabeth Scherer’s seventh-floor courtroom in downtown Fort Lauderdale, fewer than 24 hours after Broward Sheriff Scott Israel announced tighter security of maximum-security jail prisoners.

“The detention deputy realized he had lost his key and was able to retrieve it,” said Veda Coleman-Wright, a spokeswoman for the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

An inmate had the key, courthouse sources say. No other information about the lost key was immediately available. Sheriff’s officials were awaiting a report on the incident, Coleman-Wright said just before 12:30 p.m.

The Sun Sentinel investigative team will find out what actually happened. As soon as another press release issues.

The sun sentinel is good for nothing. I equate that rubbish newspaper with toilet paper. It covers just about as much.

I am canceling my subscriptions to the Herald and the sun-sentinel.com; drop acid; follow the dead; and get all of my court news from JAABLAW. Bill has scooped the media at least five times in the last year. Bravo. Watch Bill at Five. They’re just givin’ the keys away to the jailhouse?!!!! I lit out from Reno I was trailed by twenty hounds

Did that detention deputy take the same security test that the bailiffs took.? He must have cheated too ! Way to go BSO. You keystone cops look good on national news. Funny funny stuff. And it’s all real.

What’s the point of having a safe word when playing a little jailhouse slap and tickle if no one is allowed to have the handcuff keys?

  11. 0

    0

I certainly feel safe working in the courthouse. Don’t you. BSO is better than the FBI investigating Hillary.

  12. 0

Can anyone get me into general population for a few minutes? I run a handcuff key manufacturing concern but with the high cost of steel it will be cheaper to buy them in bulk at discounted rates in the BSO jail. I have a fiduciary duty to my shareholders to find the best product at lowest price.

Broward courthouse is rotten from top to bottom. No fix is in the offing unless the FEDs clean up this mess. The problem starts with a do nothing chief judge all the way down to the incompetent bailiffs. Just wait till somebody gets hurt and watch the finger pointing begin.

  14. 0

    0

Some of the jokes are funny but the real question is how many or if BSo has been confiscating keys and how many over the months leading to the escape. A real investigation is in order not a coverup Barona job.

Is there a hearing coming up about funding the installation of sniper towers on each side of the North Wing floors?

    1. 0

      0

No. The proposed towers will be on the exterior of the building at street level, above the fire exits.

Wasn’t DiPietro let go from the PDs office after some controversy concerning a prosecutor? Didn’t Finkelstein write a letter outlining her dismissal from his office to Governor Scot and she was appointed over Finkelstein’s objections ? Interesting that that’s not in the article !

LITTLE FINK THOUGHT HE COULD SQUEAL ON NINA AND KEEP HER FROM GETTING THE PRIZE. HE FOUND OUT THAT NOBODY OUTSIDE BROWARD KNOWS HIM OR CARES WHAT HE HAS TO SAY. HE INSURED NINA WOULD BECOME JUDGE BY TRYING TO SWING HIS LITTLE WEIGHT AROUND. HE FOUND OUT IN THE FACE JUST HOW MUCH WEIGHT THAT LITTLE RAT TAIL CARRIES. NADA … THANKS FOR YOUR EFFORTS FINK. Relax everyone, the bailiffs days are coming to an end. Check out The sheriffs general counsel Ron Gunzburger talk about the sheriffs plan for the bailiffs on browardbeat.com and read it for yourself. The bailiffs will soon be a thing of the past, being replaced with real honest to goodness professional law enforcement individuals who know real security procedures and are well trained in the handling of defendants that are in custody. This welcome change is way long overdue. Thank you Sheriff Israel for realizing the obvious.

The bailiffs are so incompetent in Broward it doesn’t take Houdini to slip the shackles. A little girl could escape these idiots! Been in court lately ? It’s so pathetic it’s almost comical how these old farts totter around telling their war stories and leaving their junk all over the courtroom like a bunch of complete dementos !

At last a newspaper that tells it as it is ! Don’t count on the Sun Sentinel to follow suit with an editorial because it has catered to these corrupt Broward Types including corrupt judges for years. The Sun Sentinel is an embarrassment to unbiased professional reporting.
Chief Judge Weinstein is not exempt from his responsibilities in this matter of this latest escape fiasco and missing and lost handcuff keys. He has continued to embarrass and deminish the efforts of hard working and dedicated judges by continually fumbling the ball when it comes to his lack of leadership to the point of becoming a cruel farce.
From his rediculas excuses for drunk and drugged judges to doing little to set a fine example by carrying a docket himself like chief judges in other circuits, he does nothing to improve the deplorable situation that exists in the Broward Courthouse except to continually request funding for more judges in Broward from Tallahassee when the schedules of many judges are not being managed in an effective and efficient manner by him at all.
Judge Weinstein should step down and allow a more able judge with administrative abilities to manage what has become a judicial circuit ridiculed for its waste, mismanagement, scandal and corruption.

Shocking that they would chain a paralysed WHEELCHAIR bound inmate! yet, a deputy does not have his cuff key on a chain so he can never lose it. Fkn brainless twits.

  18. 0

    0

“Deputy Eric Adams was in a crowded holding cell when he placed the key in his shirt pocket while removing a waist chain from a paralyzed prisoner in a wheelchair, he wrote in his report. The 48-year-old deputy soon noticed the key was missing, prompting a shakedown and strip searches of all the inmates in the holding cell.”

WHY IS THE SHERIFF CHAINING PARALYZED PRISONERS????? OUTRAGEOUS!!

Seems like another inmate had a handcuff key. Period. Purchased from a BSO deputy at the jail.

But even if that story were true that a bailiff dropped the key, you’ve got to be kidding. The Tuesday (4 days) after a murder suspect facing the death penalty escapes (and continues to evade police) with the help of some juvenile twins and a 23 year old girl in a bmw a BSO bailiff drops a handcuff key? What?
Really? HELP. We’re in trouble. We’re NOT safe. Hey guys…secure the handcuff keys.
That’s beyond ridiculous. You can’t make this stuff up.
I’ve said it before: Too bad the major paper isn’t writing real investigative articles about the craziness that goes on in Broward
    About BSO. About the jail.
About the crime lab…though this has been written about of late.

umm, this Kathleen McCarthy works at Regional Conflict, but why did she misrepresent that to the media? And more curious, how lazy of the reporter to just accept it & not question why she would say that?

“… McCarthy, 37, civil defense lawyer in private practice since 2001”

Could this signal dishonesty on her part – is that what is needed for a Judge?!

      1. 0

Kathleen McCarthy is the finest most wholesome American that I know. What kind of coward spread lies and innuendo by such scurrilous means, how un-American. She is the finest, hard working, and best candidate for County Court Judge Group 8 that there is. As we honor my landing on the moon, I only ask for your support for the only honest and true candidate in Group 8.

Just another big time loser who was too embarrassed to admit she’s a grunt at Regional Counsel. It’s worse than working at the PD but you get paid a little more than that sweat house!

It’s my birthday and so my wish for world peace aside, I have to spend my day off responding to trolls on the internet. Let me first set the record straight, Kathleen McCarthy is older than 37 years of age, she is an Assistant Regional Counsel for the Florida Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel (and is the longest standing attorney in this district and maybe statewide since its creation), and has been in private practice as a defense attorney since 2001 (prior to her time at RC-4). I know because I have litigated cases both against and with, and in the more than eights years with RC-4 and the other four years prior, I have never seen a harder working civil servant, trial attorney, or teacher of social workers. So that is why I ask on my birthday that you all vote for my best friend and colleague, Kathleen McCarthy for County Court Judge – Group 8 on August 30th. To find out more: www. McCarthyforJudge.org

So everyone loved Dayonte when he was on top, with recurring roles on Everybody Hates Chris and Bernie Mac, House of Payne to name but a few. Now he’s accused and its no presumption of innocence because America loves to kick its idols when they fall or aren’t cute any longer. Jealousy the green eyed monster. Pray for the troubled child and yourselves.

Everyone thanking sheriff Israel looks like an idiot.

Thank you Sheriff Israel. People don’t realize that it’s hard to secure exits. They’re making fun of BSO but it’s not right. We secured the bridge and attorney entrances but how did we know we should secure the ONE EXIT THAT THE SUSPECT ENTERS AND EXITS THROUGH EVERY COURT DATE?
You mean we should have immediately locked down the one exit he actually knows? This is too much.
Thank you sheriff Israel. People keep saying we sell keys at the jail. But it’s not right. They don’t realize we have lots of kids and mouths to feed. We gotta make extra money too.
Thank you sheriff Israel. Thank you.
    Now who are his opponents?

You obviously have no clue of the big picture. Look up the fire codes and the authority the fire marshal has. YOU CANNOT LOCK FIRE EXISTS! Only way you can do that is to have what they call a fire watch. That would require a fire dept. officer at each exit that you want to lock. Imagine a court house on fire, and perhaps hundreds dying, than you would blame him. Not sure if he has the authority to let a Sheriffs deputy assume that duty. My guess would be even if he could, the sheriff would say “not my job” and would be correct.

Nice try asswipe…nobody was suggesting to “lock” that escape door.

Just radio down to those BSO on ground floor to head over to that escape door and wait for the 🏃 oh…that’s right BSO mentality = laziness first (lock doors, or give us more armed cops) rather than the logical idea of having a BSO type go over to the door and catch him when he shows up!

Man we’re not even cops and we’re giving you great tips on how to do your job!

In the first place when you respond to a comment with the first words being ASSWIPE, you show your IQ and mental state. Typical layer mentality. You implied that I’m law enforcement. You obviously did not look at our website, which I might add that you are a coward talking shit hiding behind Anonymous. We stated who we are, (definitely not law enforcement), South Florida Corruption.com. My guess is you’re an attorney that we’ll probably writing about in the future.
By the way, unless your brain dead you would know my name. website owners are able to be found out easily through the internet. So Who are you coward.
          Typical attorney.

Eww, a ‘dare’ to go find out ‘who’ you are…well, maybe nobody wants to waste their time?

Typical attorney, again you have not seen the website. What from here could be copied to make a full story? You come to conclusions without any evidence but your own thoughts. I get it. Your not an attorney, your probably a judge.

By the way. We use this blog only as a good source of first info. The story of the escapee was here nearly 2 full hours before traditional news media. They should follow this blog. We only deal with judicial and police corruption.
whether or not this story involves sum sort of corruption (i.e. sheriff? court staff? attorneys? ) remains to be seen.
                But we’re watching and digging.
                Peace to you.

Be sure and secure the wheelchair suspect. Then put the handcuff key anywhere. Don’t worry if the handcuff key falls.

The young, healthy, death penalty client- he doesn’t need to be secured. He likes the jail.
The 90 year old driving while license suspended grandma let’s handcuff her and keep a close eye on her.

The career criminal serial killer over here. Hand him a handcuff key so he can secure himself. He knows how to handcuff himself because he’s been in jail a lot.
