Yeah, his lips must be sore by now. It’s all he’s ever done. Pathetic.

        Why Glick chick keeps trying?

Only worked as a govt. gopher, so I guess that’s enough so long as correct federalist boxes are checked?!

Her brother. Maybe he would actually stay a full day at work unlike his sister.

Why blame the judges when the only people applying these days have woeful resumes? Raise the pay, or stop the whining. If Florida doesn’t want a ‘low paid lawyers with gavels’ sorority then raise the pay to match the US District Courts and get better people applying.

Unfortunately, you won’t increase the professionalism or ability of judges in Broward by increasing their salaries. You’ll just attract more lazy bums to the bench looking to score a little scratch in preparation for retirement.
Judges in Broward are already paid too much for the amount of work they do and most of the time elevation to the position represents a pay increase over their former rate of pay anyway.
When you start publishing judicial attendance records and trial stats tied to work performance, maybe the subject could be revisited. But until then, it’s hard to find anything but empty courtrooms and absent judges in Broward.

Beauregard?! Seriously? Named after a confederate general????? Wow. Now I am glad that Kaysia is running against her. How racist could the family be? God, my family is borderline questionable and wouldn’t even have the balls to name someone after a confederate general.

Now we make fun of people’s names too!!
What a great blog. You all should be so proud of yourselves. Mainly criminal defense lawyers who if you ever tried to “stand in the shoes of you clients” like the true criminal defense lawyers always said, you would surely break a leg and whimper when no one stopped to help.

Last time we checked! It’s not a crime to feel what or that is impossible. Mainly proud!! Too!! “Standing in shoes” or “standing in mud” which is crud.

              Think about it.

Anything that threatens the safety sanctity and accountability of Fla. Bar members, especially the judicial upgraded versions that have both the Bar Rules and the Judicial Canons to uphold, to maintain that standard of defense and don’t, will be unilaterally obstructed and torpedoed.

I’ll never know why people get so upset about these bench dwellers.

I mean the ones who aren’t mean and/or stupid.

If someone with a license to print money wants to be a low paid case pusher then more power to ’em.

Broward undoubtedly has some of the laziest judges in the state, not to mention disrespectful behavior like last minute court cancellations inconveniencing the very public they tout themselves as serving. Scherer is just one example of one of the worst.

Its fairly indicative of the moral and ethical bankruptcy exhibited by judges on the Broward Bench almost every day.

People get upset because it’s not merit based. It’s who you know. And there are tons of public servants in public service jobs wherein a judgeship is seen as a goal to capstone a thankless career in public service. They have no chance though because the process is polluted. It’s not fair and it’s why there’s so many “mean and/or stupid” that have no place sitting in judgement of others.

I’m watching ncaa lax on tv. Just saw an ad for
“ JusticeCentral”, is that judge Liz next position?
She’ll be a great fit too much makeup, Botox and a nasty tude.
Agree or disagree she needs polling to make her decision.

The JNC short list is aptly named I notice. Short on experience for starters. Not a trial lawyer among them. Just more of the same putzes looking for a handout.
If any of the names were chosen on merit apparently the whole system would fall apart.
The Broward Judiciary deserves it reputation.

Like being a trial layer would make you a more qualified judge? One decent trial in an entire career does not make you a better lawyer then any other law school grad. It only means you work longer and harder on one case then pray you get paid. Do you know how many “trial lawyers” have lost their ass since Covid?

  6. 7

By the standard they are using clerks that observe everything are qualified, I propose probably 100 court reporters who have seen and experienced more than anyone on that list.

Heard Bailey Reporting got canned by Tuter. Canned as in fired. What’s the scoop ?

  8. 7

    0

It’s said Tuter ditched her after leaking news to the papers that court reporters got the raises they were seeking after years of wages remaining stagnant. I don’t know the specifics but she got the shaft.
Quite frankly I’ve never been satisfied with the services she provided after getting the constant runaround about late transcripts. I guess it’s just going to be Bass Reporting staffing the courtrooms now.
That’s the scuttle anyway. You reap what you sow.
