The Florida Bar can now punish you, through its Broward Professionalism Panels, for speech in which you engage in your “private lives.” So says the Florida Supreme Court.
Any lawyer in Broward who does not understand the peril is, in word, a functional idiot.
You think Sean Conway got in trouble? Just wait. You’re next.
Since you’re not a lawyer, Jack, I guess you’re free to do whatever you wish, without concern of the trial fees the Bar hits lawyers with after they lose their discipline trials.
I find your comment something of a non sequitur. I paid $42, 000 for the pleasure of being wrongly disciplined. That’s kind of my point, dude. The Bar will hound you out of the practice of law if they don’t like the “tone” of your criticism, as The Bar President told me. Now they have codified the notion, if you even bother to read the Creed of Professionalism, that you can be disciplined for “speech uttered in your private life.” If that doesn’t scare anybody, then those anybodies are morons.

Trouble? Silly Jack, what Conway got was nothing short of great publicity
And you all got a target painted on your backs. You, sir, are apparently too dumb to realize it.
It’s almost like yelling fire in a crowded theater when a judge unnecessarily makes Ebola the focus of a hearing to ham it up for the cameras.
Nervous Nellie in a black robe scarring the public, wasting resource and taxpayer dollars in respond to his media pandering.
