MCLAWRENCE v. ROSENTHAL

Jahra McLawrence has filed against Lynn RosenthalThe filing is here.

Patti Henning’s heart must have skipped a beat.  She’s Group 18, while Rosenthal is Group 8.  Due to a Division of Elections mistake, McLawrence’s filing originally showed up against Henning, but was quickly fixed.

In other election news, Dan Lewis reports he’s heard the following incumbents may also have opposition:  Steve Feren, John Bowman, and Debra Stephens in WPB.  He’s not naming any challengers, but everyone knows Evan Hoffman has been looking at the Feren race for quite some time.  Donnie Goodwin reports he’s definitely not running against Bowman, so it’s anyone’s guess as to who may be thinking about that race.

Other challengers could also appear, and there’s still another week until the May 2nd qualifying deadline …

Are you richer than the judge? – if you’re bored, have some fun with public records.  Stroll on over to the Division of Elections website, and click on Candidates and Races.  Choose a year, click View List, and then click on your favorite judge’s Campaign Documents button.  The Financial Disclosure is there in PDF form, although some of the 2014 candidates haven’t filed theirs yet.  Gee, maybe it is public service after all …

I’d vote for McLawrence anytime over any of these jokers! Broward has so many bad judges, they should all get opposition.

Scherer to criminal? You’ve got to be kidding, right? She’s right out of diapers with little experience.

EVERYONE KNOWS BROWARD HAS SOME OF THE WORST JUDGES IN THE STATE.JUST PICK UP A NEWSPAPER OR TUNE IN ON TV. ALL SHOULD ENCOURAGE ANYONE INTERESTED TO RUN FOR JUDGE AGAINST ANY SITTING BROWARD JUDGE. IT’S THE ONLY WAY TO GET RID OF THESE SUCKERS AND EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO CHOOSE TO INSURE A JUDICIARY THAT ISN’T FULL OF POLITICAL CRONEYS AND PENSIONERS. VOTE FOR THE AMERICAN WAY. VOTE AGAINST ANY INCUMBENT BROWARD COUNTY JUDGE.

With as many bad judges as there are in Broward they should all be run against. Weinstein has done a really bad job of keeping them in line. He needs to go too.

Judge Greene is wealthy. I am confounded though. With a financial head start in life as such why did he rise only as high professionally as a former cab driver and a former truck driver?

Russ should take on the guy who referred to a rape victim as a tight end or wide receiver
    and had little support.

Bob Nichols v Levenson. Third time was a charm for Ellen Feld and Mardi Cohen. Bob please take Levenson out.

Look at his campaign finance reports this is a guy who tried to raise money and only came up with 16k or so and spent 6 of it. Hard to imagine the lawyers who didn’t care about him the first time around will do much if he gets an opponent. Look at the other Judges who actively raised money they have at least 20 to 40k.

Levinson thinks hanging around with a relative of a former intern or staff attorney at kings point will protect him.

Also on his Form 6 financial filing with the State, I doubt he could put in all that much to self finance.

Forget Bowman the civil guys will get him over 100k in a month. If you want Circuit, Levinson is the way to go.

Yeah bowman and the 150k is really vulnerable. Last I checked the kid took the plea and the cops cleared the judge. Beyond that the cannons will ppreclude anyone from bringing rumors.

All Levenson has to do is bring up Nichols last stunt with Ms. Bott. I am pretty sure she still has his dick picture and texts.

I would rather try a case with Levenson than Robinson or Destry. He may not always rule with you but he doesn’t take anything personally and he works!!! The guy is always on the bench…you don’t wait until 10:00 for him because he says he will be there at 8:30 but he’s teaching…we could do worse…

I like Judge Levenson. Trials are fair for both sides. He doesn’t muddle it up by interfering. He lets the lawyers do their jobs. He also works out a lot of turkey cases other Judges are afraid to deal with after they transfer them to The Pool.

All the civil boys were at Bowmans fundraiser last week. Easily pulled 30 40k. If Levinson is so great how come no one cares enough to donate him money when he asked for it to show he has support by the lawyers who come before him.

Well, there could be two more open judge seats available after the Rothstein mess has been fully cleared up. I know one female judge who spent a lot of time at Rothstein HQ that is doing a lot of serious sweating right now.

Check out his Form 6 financial filing as required on the Florida Elections Website. It appears he has failed to complete this properly,

First, he has been a Judge how long and he fails to list a FRS pension as an asset?

Secondly, I believe the Judges are paid via direct deposit. How can he not have a checking account?

Thirdly, the Form calls for specific description of assets, it would appear that you cant do what Tutor does and just say stocks and mutual funds. If you look at properly filed Form ^ forms filed by Judge Gold and Rosenthal they specifically list the stocks owned and how many shares.

If you think the above is trivial, take note last week the complaint against Mayor Barbra Sharief was found by the election commission to have probable cause and some allegations were regarding a lack of specificity in her documents.

Should a Judge not be held to a higher standard when executing these forms?

How did Judge Tuter get appointment if he was rejected soundly by voters?

The JNC cares little for will of people I gather.

Levenson is a great judge with awesome temperament and just loved by everybody and besides, he’s Jeff Levenson no one is going to run against King Jeffrey the wicked because hey
He is King Jeffrey. Now Rosenthal that’s different.

Interesting, all that the poster said above about Tutor’s financial document filed with the State seems true. Also notices he does not lease or own a car.

    odd.

Tooty’s an easy make. Just file and Tooty will be looking to get another public sector job preferably in the janitorial field. He’d like that.

Tuter Tudor Tuder Tudor is easy pickins. No $, dead last when he ran with only 9%, tied in with Tobin who is sweating big time, lazy campaigner, no family, GO FOR IT SOMEONE. GET RID OF THE LAST OF THE TOBIN REGIME.

Levenson has been nothing but a disappointment since taking the bench. I’d support almost anyone running against that clipped turkey. Being smart is not one of his traits. Come to think of it, I can’t think of any.

You get the feeling alleged campaign managers are blogging on here? You get the feeling it’s each judge for him or herself and try to convince to run against the other guy/girl. Levenson v Tutor v Bowman v Ehrluch v Feren v Bidwell v who else is up???

  25. 0

It would be no loss if Levenson, Tutor, Bidwell and Bowman got the axe. What they’d do after living off the public dole is anybody’s best guess. Not much I’d say.

Tooty Tooty Fresh and Fruity’s got a surprise coming in terms of opposition is what I’ve heard. With no money and no juice, he’s an easy one to beat.

You would think from reading here that there are no good judges on the bench and each challenger or potential challenger would be a vast improvement over what we have. This place is nuts.

And by the way, Mclawrence is a joke. He will lose badly and further damage his reputation among those who matter, and that doesn’t include anyone who reads here.

I guess the point is no one matters. Sure there are a few big money people within earshot of Governor whatever his name is this year, and their bag boys, but the whole system is so laden down with self interest and corruption that in the end everyone from the top on down is covered in slime. Who cares, the trough may be fuller for those “who matter” but really the ones who really matter in life are home with the kids working on homework while all the losers snipe and grovel for position while showing off the ugly new Jaguar wifey just got.

I agree look around the only major consultant without a judicial candidate is Judy Stern. She has been run people willing to pay against incumbents in the past. Her using the blog to manipulate someone to run against an incumbent to have the incumbent hire her wouldn’t be a a stretch either. Then again blowing Gonzalez against Watson, losing Lieberman and Melanie golden. Doubtful anyone would hire her anyway.

Another laugh from the Mclawrence campaign. He lists the value of his one-man law firm at $50K against total assets of $130K. Good luck selling. And he will double his salary if lighting strikes and he gets elected.

Haha Ferren has to campaign. Maybe he will wash & buy clothes that will fit him. Guess what he may have to ..hmm..what’s the word… Work.
What did he do before becoming a slacker I mean Judge.
