    No surprise the shamefulness continues.

Who would want to work a full week and have to account?

    Certainly not the 17th!

Fred is smarter than Peter, which represents uncertainty. Better to stick with a bruised banana than a ripe green one you can slip on.

This is disgusting-we deserve better. Let me goes Diaz, and the rest of the crew who work 20 hours voted to keep him in power.

Nothing will change. It does not matter who is the chief judge in Broward County. Some judges work hard. Some are perceived as lazy and could care less about their dockets or how long it takes to get a hearing. Some judges have essentially allowed lawyers to get away with unprofessional conduct without any consequences making practicing in Broward miserable. This results in even more unprofessional conduct because there is no downside in forcing unnecessary hearings, Propounding harassing discovery, or violating court orders.

We need more judges like Dishowitz, Beller, Robert Lee and Peter Skolnik. They take control of their dockets and court rooms and demand professionalism from all lawyers that appear before them. They are more than happy to sanction unprofessional conduct and Force lawyers to comply with court orders and deadlines.

I have been practicing civil litigation in Broward County for over 10 years. There is a reason why some judges have more hearings than any every other judge. I will give you that reason. If a lawyer knows how A judge will rule and that judge will sanction the lawyer that is wasting everyone’s time that lawyer will not dare to come back again to argue the same nonsense. If a judge refuses to sanction unprofessional and wasteful conduct than there is no downside to continue wasting everyone’s time clogging up the dockets.

If the rest of the judges in Broward County do not take control of their court rooms and dockets things will only deteriorate further. It may be time for me to move back to Arizona where judges do not placate to lazy unprofessional lawyers and you don’t have to wait months for a hearing.

    Carry on.

If you want a good laugh go to the north satellite where the judges sanction violations of court orders and discovery deadlines by giving the offending party 60 more days to comply. Court orders mean nothing at the north satellite. This is unfortunate because it can take three months to get a hearing if not longer. One particular judge will not even set certain hearings unless you jump through a few hoops requiring approximately six months to get a hearing. I know they are understaffed and overworked but it is getting ridiculous.

If the judges had any idea of what the lawyers thought about north satellite they would be shocked. No civility. No order. No respect for the process. We need change up there.

Please take me with you to Arizona. I agree with your viewpoints. Something has to be done at the north satellite Courthouse. It is in chaos and no one seems to care.

Weinstein can puff his chest all he wants. Being Chief of this place is still the all time booby prize for someone who once dreamed of a career on the national stage in Washington DC.

After a hard day of doing nothing there’s nothing more satisfying than cutting a ribbon, accepting a plaque, and pulling a chair up to the banquet buffet table.

At least Little Whiney can look forward to staying busy now that Pappy is back in the drivers seat for another term of a do nothing Broward Judiciary. Guess he, Greeny and Daddyback managed to grease the pole enough again. Pappy’s biggest headache is and always has been where to have lunch on his way home.

If someone was looking for this bunch to do something courageous then that someone hasn’t been paying attention for the last 20 years.

I hear he snagged the early endorsement of the National Association of Traffic Magistrates and the Southern Traffic Magistrates Coalition.

My advice to Rosner is to be humble and to listen to the voters as they speak to him. Be genuine and patient. Do exactly the opposite of the pompous ass known as Kasen, a jewish man who couldn’t even beat a black man and a hispanic woman in a low turnout jewish heavy condo primary because he is so patently arrogant and obnoxious and unqualified.

Who was the Hispanic woman? Wasn’t Robinson black? Isn’t that why Hispanic Vote endorsed Kasen? Who was the black man? Wasnt Ian Richards white?

The Good Ole system is alive and well in Broward. Weinstein will assure that nothing progresses any further than what he has to do to get something out of it along with his old and newfound cronies ! You gotta do what u have to do to get the votes. The rest of his do nothing approach to errant judges in Broward has again been approved !

I agree with you. If you want proof just go to the north satellite Courthouse and you’ll see that it is more clogged and backed up than a bathroom in a Tijuana Mexican restaurant.

Susie is fine. She’s retiring. Let her be.
This place is what it is. The disgrace of the State. At least many tried to get rid of Weinstein. Time for Carmel Cafero to follow some judges around.

Judge Ian Richards pissed off the wrong people who subsequently banded together to take him out of office. Ian will never be a judge again.

Keep telling yourself that one…. Ian won having little or no support against a Judge with a overtly Hispanic surname. Why wouldn’t he go back to the formula that works for him? If it is Rodriguez, the Judge should be fine. Rodriguez is rich, he spent 250k out of pocket last time and could do so again on 16. Then again, if he has to spend a half mil on two elections he would have worked the last six years for the equivalent of a starting Asa salary.

It is not like things are so petty around here that people like Dale Holness or Donna Guthrie would field an opponent like Ian Richards or even Bob Nichols over a bad ruling…oh wait, that is how Feren lost.

This Blog is like that old sports broadcaster who was announcing the baseball scores and the story read like this:

The Cubs played the Dodgers today. The final score was 4-2. Only, he forgot to tell us who won.

Your blog has a story that reads 46-42. That’s it. Are you kidding me. I am figuring out, based on the comments that this has something to do with the election for Chief Judge, but maybe some content to your story would have been nice. Like who ran, who won and who lost.

Captain Justice, are you reading a different post? It clearly states “MEET CJ WEINSTEIN” with the score tally underneath.

It doesn’t take a Rocket Scientist

Feren lost because he didn’t give a sh-t because of his health. Feren came across really bad on the campaign trail and that did him in.

Feren lost because he was an asshole to a litigant who was friends with Contini who got Contini to run and ultimately win. Without that pissed litigant no one would have run against him. Ian knows this full well as he pissed off the same litigant and he too got the boot.

All Broward judges should be run against every time they’re up for reelection. Otherwise you get what u have here in Broward, a bunch of do nothing idiots who parade around like they’re important, instead of what they are; Vastly overpaid losers who couldn’t make it in private practice or petty politicians who are out to suck at the public coffers to retirement while preaching that theyre public servants who could make so much more in private practice. Take a good look around at what Broward has as these goofballs and you’ll see it’s true. None of them do anything but keep the rest of us waiting around and pretend that they actually know something about the law. It’s laughable in Broward if it weren’t so true !

Judges are under paid and under staffed (assuming they work a full day). Proof is not too many competent people apply and why it takes forever to get a ruling.

The issue is not only the cop who dragged this lady but what about the other officers “who failed to intervene”? They are to guilty too.
