ODOM FOR COLEMAN

The Wild Card has been played … we’re told George Odom is taking over Tom Coleman’s division in circuit criminal, and Coleman to Family in a swap.

We’ll post the AO shortly …

Judicial Rotation should be a must for a backward circuit like Broward. I can understand Tuter’s reluctance because playing politics is a must if he wants to retain his position as Chief Judge. But when does common sense take a front seat to Tuter’s misplaced political agenda ?
He’s proven himself to have fallen short of the mark as a good administrator time and time again.

I think what many fail to realize is that Criminal is NOT a highly sought after division. It’s the worst place to be. We have had numerous Black judges in Criminal: Holmes, Williams, Gillespie, Robinson and only Holmes loved it.

Let me get this straight. What public servants want to do is more important than what’s best for the community they serve?

No judge wants to be in criminal, including the ones being moved out. You all act like it is such a punishment, they are all probably doing cartwheels to get away from the complaining criminal lawyers.

We’ve sent an African-American Judge to the Criminal Division but it’s unlikely that cursed Blog will ever be satisfied…….

Best thing that could happen to get Coleman out of Circuit Criminal. He’s a loose cannon waiting to melt down. Surprised it hasn’t happened already. That must have been a concern. Burying him in Family is a good move.

You clearly know nothing. What makes you think anyone wants to be in criminal? Criminal
Has the reputation for having many Rude and unprepared lawyers. Only the same 4 of you who complain about judges who make you work think criminal is some place of status or importance. Nobody wants to go there and deal with you.

BROWARD COUNTY JUDGES SERVE THE PEOPLE

    NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND

DIVERSITY IS NOT SERVED BY ONE BLACK JUDGE

So in essence you want to punish Black judges by putting them in Criminal when everyone knows that other divisions like Civil (Fahnestock, Frink) and Probate/Unified Family (Gillespie, Moon, Odom, Williams) are more interesting and offer better career opportunities? THAT sounds pretty racist.

Criminal division is a career ender. The only judges that move up are those that get out of criminal.

Tuter has failed in every respect as chief judge of this circuit except when it comes to patting his own azz. It’s embarrassing. He’’s a clueless backscratcher.
