Trouble in paradise? Interesting, not to mention, mysterious under these circumstances, or is it ? Although not surprising with what’s going on within the ranks of Broward judges.

Get over yourself girl. You’ve been about as mediocre a judge as they come. And Broward has a lot of them so you’re in good company. Enjoy girls night out on the public dime.

She’s a alright judge. I never saw her distinguish herself particularly. As it goes, she’s a little better than most.

There goes another State patsy. She dropped the ball on the Hooker case. Won’t miss that nasty mug.

Lisa is one of the best judges on the bench. It will be a loss to Broward County.

She must have dropped the ball on Anonymous’ hooker case & gave Anonymous’s nasty mug a few more years behind bars than originally wanted.

Bad tude, mediocre judge. Now Scott will have another appointment to fill with a better judge.
Sounds like Tooty might be screwing up.

Smart, fair, good demeanor, hard working, efficient, makes it easy to get things on the docket because she’s not a drooling moron and can figure things out quickly, and she had 100% distinguished herself before becoming a Judge, ie she actually earned her position on the bench.

Come to think of it, why wouldn’t she want to leave Broward?

Not like this schlep who has sucked every shekel he can get out of it.
You have to have some respect for her for knowing when to get out.

TOOTY HAVING PROBLEMS KEEPING THE GIRLS IN LINE ?
      SUCH HIGH HOPES
      SUCH A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

Had one trial with her. Thought she was a real nag and quite unreasonable. She certainly had a higher opinion of herself than I’d give her credit for. Lol

    NO BIG LOSS
WAS NEVER WELL SUITED AS JUDGE
NOT PARTICULARLY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND MADE UP FOR HER POOR ATTITUDE BY TALKING DOWN TO ATTORNEYS
    I WISH HER WELL HOWEVER
I THINK SHE PROBABLY KNOWS THE ABOVE
THIS MAY HAVE PLAYED A PART IN HER DECISION TO RESIGN

Ya’ll sure can be a bunch of MoFo’s when you hate someone. Sounds like a bunch of unsuccessful wanabees who couldn’t grab the gold ring if it was put in their hands

The ring is brass but they don’t know it til it’s too late. That’s why so many of them turn mean.

Chump change for underachieving government gophers, otherwise they’d have gone into Civil where the real money 💰 is. They get trapped in the system of diminishing returns and then turn into A-holes with a superiority complex bred of inferiority. You see it every time you walk into a criminal courtroom with these chumps. Broward is infamous for its bad judges.

ITS EVERYTHING I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE IN BECOMING A BROWARD JUDGE: GREAT PAY AND BENEFITS, SUMMERS OFF, AND NO SUPERVISION

I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS YEARS AGO

The alternative to a Judge Porter would have been Laura Seidman. Winning that election alone, thank you for your service Judge Porter.

Service ??? They’re paid much more than they’re worth for the easy job they do. That’s if they even work a full work week. Pathetic.

I appeared before Judge Porter at least 200 times. I did not always agree with her, of course, but she is/was an excellent judge who will be sorely missed in a county where not every judge is as calm and competent. Thank you for your 30 years of service to the community.

Always thought she was a bit of a spoof with a chip on her shoulder. Probably had enough of the Broward Judicial Carnival. It’s starting to look like a parade of opportunistic jokers. You don’t find many legal scholars sitting on the bench in Broward.

Judge Porter is professional, efficient, and respectful. If you’ve had trials, motions and cases in front of her you’d know that. You people posting crap here just have nothing better to do. If you want to post crap about judges then be honest and write about the judges deserving of it. Start with McCarthy, Robinson (the one still on the bench that was moved from criminal to civil), and the “queen” on the 4th floor. By the way how’s Robinson doing?

Most Judges in Broward are starting to see the light which is leading to more resignations from the bench. More on the way I hear. The gravey train is drying up. But there will always be more looking for a steady paycheck. Hope they know what they’re in for.

Judge Porter is an excellent judge. Very smart, caring, and respectful of the attorneys and citizens that appeared before her. It is a major loss here in Broward, when we lose fair and reasonable judges. Good luck Judge Porter, you have been an excellent civil servant and judge.

Wasn’t Porter skewered in the media for screwing up the Hooker case ? I hardly see how that could be considered excellent.

I feed from the public trough, rip off taxpayers for all I can get, then work on the side and call myself a civil servant.

    Q. Why didn’t forensic expert court contractor write a report she was paid many thousands dollars to write ?
    A. Ex- ASA Lana Belohlavek needed protection from the truth.
Because a court contractor can not write a report detrimental to the court.

    http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/crime/pervy-billionaire-agreed-plea-deal

Court contractors advertise in the private sector, enticing the public, (victims of the courts), to feed privy information regarding investigations into court sponsored, and supported pedophilia.

Its The Crooked Lawyers Who Create Crooked Judges…
      Broward needs a good flush…
Once the UN ethical attorney’s are gone,
      judges will become more accountable.

I admire Judge Porter for calling it quits but her timing is suspect. Why didn’t she ride it out until the end of her term? Was she told she was going to be moved to make room for this new Bimbo ? You won’t get the lowdown from Tooty, that’s for sure. He’s got bigger fish to fry, but it smells fishy.
Unfortunately, Scott will now have to fill the vacancy with another inexperienced handpicked political junkie. Bad for Broward. Porter obviously doesn’t care about leaving it to the dogs.

I don’t care why she’s retiring and don’t care. My concern is the aftermath of her screwup so. Iv e been in some of her hearings and all she does is look down and lack attentiveness to those who present statements under oath. I’ve watched unheard responses such as head nods which contradict spoken word..and where is she.
She is a very unfair judge who most apparently hates men. She denies motions which were more than viable.
I want to see a side by side comparison on the sentencing which had been given to male vs. female. I’ll bet her decisions were in some way influenced by her sexuality and obvious hatred for the male element.
My bet is that she was without question more favorable to women defendants.
She is most definitely not only a rug munching male hater but a sarcastic, I’m better than thou attitude. A real piece of dirt!!!

A real piece of garbage….defendants may now have a shot at truth. She is not only severely influenced by women within the prosecutors office but most impartial and favorable to those without a dangle participle.
If anyone wants to catcher, I’m only holier than thou attitude, it’s not in her expression but in her words.
She must be a hell of a poker player. Please sende her a zircon encrusted toothpick so that she may get the hairs stuck between her teeth.
