SAVE THE DATE!

Zoom-fatigued lawyers and judges can look forward to a JQC trial in December, with Kevin Emas, panel chair for JQC v. Hawkins, recently issuing this order setting the final hearing on December 8th:

Gina Hawkins won’t be a judge, suspended or otherwise, come January, after losing her seat to Linda Alley in the August primary. However, like any accused individual, she is entitled to a trial to clear her name, and possibly get a whole lot of back-pay, if David Bogenschutz can convince the panel the whole hands on neck thing was one big misunderstanding

So they’ll give a trial to a Judge during Covid, but a human being in jail can’t get one?

I think the JQc people involved are from other Circuits where they aren’t doing nothing all day.

OBSERVING BOOGENPOOP’S FARCICAL PORTRAYAL OF “HONOR MISUNDERSTOOD” IS A MUST SEE EVEN BY BROWARD JUDICIAL STANDARDS

Backpay? Is Hawkins really interested in that? I thought “public servants” do it out of the goodness of their hearts?

If she’s innocent she should take the money, for sure, and, for sure, donate it all to charity. That would be the proper way to make the message.

If she does’t owe any student loans still, she could support her sista Brenda Forman and pay off hers. Forman it seems refuses to pay it back.

Maybe back-pay is the only way Bogenschutz will get his fee?
Or doesn’t Bogenschutz defend all the degenerate judges out of the goodness of his heart?

I’d put money if I had to guess that Boogenpoop has played these crooked Broward judges for perks, not any fees.
The guys at the end of his career as an old dog but wants to keep his snout in the game. That includes keeping them greased for any possible opportunities. Its pretty sad, but that seems to be the way the crooked machine keeps primed in Broward. Look back over the judges he’s represented before the JQC. Including his present wife.
You can’t really say he’s had anything close to a winning streak.
The 17th Judicial Circuit has had more judges washed into the sewer than any other circuit in the State. Deservedly so in my opinion. The Dave Show is getting real old.

It’s so sad that all the great trial lawyers (the ones that tried 1000 of them and know the law) never have a chance at a judgeship.

Although truly zealous advocates/trial warriors like Ratticoff or BCavanagh may be too steeped in advocacy to be moderators or umpires. I guess that’s why more milquetoasty types could be better for the Bench. Calling the balls and strikes and all that.

A very dishonest person who hurt countless human beings for no good reason who deserved to be disbarred (and probably more) but shouldn’t be spoken about in this fashion. Truly disgusting.

She was never any Bo Derek. Maybe she could play the horse in Bolero back in’84. Not even close. More like a rancid taco.
I suspect Ole Dave was sucked into making that decision.

The way situations like this Hawkins are handled in Broward is dreadful. One embarrassment after another. Why is she putting 17 through this? Why didn’t Judge Tuter handle this better before it became a massive problem for Broward County? Wasn’t he involved in the earliest stages? The good Judges can’t catch a break.

MAYBE ITS TIME EARLY INTERVENTION BE CONSIDERED AS A VIABLE OPTION FOR BROWARD JUDGES
      NOTHING ELSE SEEMS TO WORK

BUT THEN HOW COULD I GET RE-ELECTED AS CHIEF JUDGE OF THE WORST PERFORMING JUDICIAL CIRCUIT IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA

He’s been a constant in Admin since Tobin/Weinstein. All the scandals. I think he’s a terrible leader. I don’t know why the Judges support him.

The series of disgraceful events with the Broward judiciary is most likely why none of the Broward Judeges were considered to replace Justice Ginsburg.

Is because Broward judges are the biggest joke around. More Broward judges have been suspended, removed or sanctioned than any other Circuit in the State.
Then we’ve got this total joke Tuter as Chief Judge. He’s more of a Carnival ringmaster than chief judge.
No Judicial Rotation in this circuit has led to a gaggle of lazy political opportunists with little knowledge of the law and even less temperament to deal with the cases that come before them.
Its a very sad state of affairs that has been encouraged by a chief judge that’s more concerned about getting re-elected to the position than he is to administering whats right for a circuit that’s been in crisis for years.
The only option is to vote out every incumbent at every opportunity.
