I previously opined on another thread that he’s running his mouth way too much on the Peraza case and this one too. SA is going to blow the Peraza case anyway so Schwartzreich should stop trying to influence potential jurors and just put a lid on it. If the state was serious about prosecuting Peraza and exposing the earbuds coverup they would not have had Morrison fudge the SA investigation or bother with a grand jury. It will take the civil federal case to expose what really went down. Who knows if we’ll ever really find out everything that Downs was doing. I had no idea she was tipping off subjects of search warrants till her lawyer said so.

Seems to be too much power being given to those prosecutors in DTU. They can ruin people’s lives and their snitches can wind up dead. Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

When was the last time you heard Satz give immunity? Smells like a cover up because he is up for re-election.

Let’s have some follow-up questions. When was the last time Satz gave immunity? What type of immunity was it? When was the tip? Did they close out the case too soon so the Office wouldn’t be embarrassed? A real investigator followed her until they caught her in the act. This is too convenient since Satz is up for re-election. How about a public records request to see when and who was involved in the immunity decision?

Nothing about the corrupt Broward Courthouse should surprise anyone by now except how they’re able to continue recruiting young lawyers to keep pounding on the Blacks.

Something about this entire incident stinks to high heavens. There are too many unanswered questions, especially those involving the secretary that’s had access to too much information concerning too many cases ! Then she gets immunity?

She has already gotten special treatment, immunity and you have to think Satz approved it. Election year politics, just like Peraza. And Donnelly is involved, again.
    Hummmmmmm.

Ironic how they launch first offenders when at the same time one of their own is doing multiple deals a week for years. 100? 500?

In the real world the boss gets canned for being a tool.

    But this is Broward government.

    Idiots.

Public would much rather see a child molester burn than a cop. Teresa is actually barking up the right tree when she focuses on that. Sorry but the general public roots for sbu over spu. not a bad platform.

How many people died because of the drugs DTU Downs helped put on the street? How many kids have fried brains? How many od’d? How many are in jail with ruined futures? How many lost careers? How many broken families?

Broward deserves answers how this could happen. No one is safe if the top law enforcement agency is hopelessly compromised.

What is Mr. Satz doing to clean house?

This is the height of ineptitude.

    Five years this was ongoing?

She got immunity when a new 3rd prosecutor must hound every unproveable case for a year before getting approval to drop it?

They couldn’t prove anything when she did a deal the day before the statement?

    Whose side is Satz on?

  12. 0

Of course they offered immunity right off the bat. It’s one of their own. For this reason as well as a laundry list of others, MJS & Co. are parasites. Quote that Ishoy

You go to prison if you fail to pay child support and thus have your license suspended and drive. Driving while license suspended.
Drive a couple of times on the suspended license and get arrested and the cops like to say you “resisted arrest” and if you wind up in front of about 5-6 judges… you get launched to prison for 18-24 months.

One judge will send you to prison for 28 years even if you have a valid lie de but you happen to drive to fast and not stop when the police try and pull you over but are on on probation. See Haimes case post.

But work for the Drug Trafficking Unit under John Gallagher the Chief of the DTU and do multiple deals a week for years and get immunity. Gallagher a man who routinely likes to yell at bond hearings that the defendant is a “menace to society” and shouldn’t even get bond…even people who it later is revealed were arrested with their own prescription medication. On bullsh*t charges. Cases where there’s no trafficking cases that some times 2-3 years to work through the system to dismiss or break down to a lesser and
Waive the min/mandatory! But those people have to fight for any justice and attend dozens of statuses, calendar calls, miss work and beg and plead to waive the min/mandatory.

Just for the state to do the right thing and here’s Ginger and her convicted trafficker boyfriend just doing deals all the time for years and the state just shrugs and says nothing to see here.

Immunity because Ginger knows too much so we can’t have her tell our secrets. That’s the real reason Ginger got

When is her statement going to become available ? She better hope her attorney stays on vacation. She wouldn’t want this sweet deal screwed up. Pretty outrageous stuff even by Broward standards.

Heartless pissant Asa’s sit there with a smirk on the face when a defendant or his family is crying about how they did it for love. Satz should resign.

It’s nice that one of the biggest dealers in Broward over the last few years is home by the pool while the victims are dead, hospitalized, jailed, or just addicted. It’s no wonder Satz will never retire. He’d have to stay home and see his face in the mirror if he didn’t have an office to go to.

Don’t buy the nonsense of him being a user either. He looks like he’s 300 pounds. They should have investigated instead of covering up. She did a deal the night before. She knew all the CI’s and UC’s in town. Except the one that probably dimed her. Satz is no better than the people he prosecutes.

If Satz can’t maintain security in his own office how is the community safe? If he doesn’t do the work to punish the law breakers in his own orbit, doesn’t he surrender the authority to punish anyone else?

How was she outed? Why would she need immunity? Has she done something illegal? Did she tell them everything? Will they regret giving her immunity? Did they really meet on Facebook? Who initiated the contact? Too many questions? Sorry. Pull her personal hard drive and the one at work. Send her phone to Cellebrite.

Ginger & Big Boy Barona have been long term CI’s while still doing business on the other side with the full blessing of the DTU as well as “El Chapo Satz.” As soon as the Feds start sniffing around, it becomes immunity time for Ginger leading to her so called “separation of employment.” How could anyone possibly believe Barona’s just a coke addict? He’s 400lbs!

Does this mean all SA’s can be labeled snitches with immunity now ? Lol. You’ve got to find this entire episode somewhat comical if it didn’t have such severe ramifications and represent such a double standard of application of law in my opinion. It’s this kind of cheesy stuff Broward’s SA’s Office has become known for; that and looking the other way every time a Broward politician or judge gets caught with their pants down while pretending the war on drugs is the real threat to society.

So DTU remains as is? No shake up after the biggest scandal and breach in the history of Broward? Geez Louise even the Expos get a new manager when the old won loses a couple games. Is there more problems that are being kept quiet because it’s an election year? Is Mike Satz afraid of John Gallagher?

Incredibly stupid, and then they give her immunity! Sounds like nothing but lies from beginning to end ! Bad choice by the state attorneys office . And what’s with Eric Schwartzreich and that purple lapel poppy ??? He looks as stupid or worse than these other jokers . He doesn’t need to prove it quite so hard. Looks like The Joker in Batman !

Yet—Downs admitted that she used state attorney’s databases to supply information to Barona about an arrest of suspects, but said she never passed along information regarding search warrants or active undercover investigations.

Despite her apparent crimes, Downs will almost surely not be criminally prosecuted. When her bosses at the state attorney’s office took her statement they gave her immunity for any crimes discussed. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement dropped the investigation without filing charges Friday and it is now in the hands of the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
It’s laughable. FDLE dropped the investigation and it’s now in the hands of the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Which we know will investigate for several months and then make no arrests.
It would be unbelievable if it weren’t the type of hypocrisy that plays out at the Broward State Attorney’s Office and at the courthouse day in and day out.

I can picture the scenario in my head. SAO offers Ginger immunity to confess. Ginger starts balling her eyes out confessing, coke boogers & tears streaming down her face & SAO is perfectly satisfied closing this one out since she’s white and they take pity on her. Probably told her something along the lines of “this wasn’t your fault” before terminating her. If she was a minority, she’d be in jail scrubs facing a lengthy min/mand just like anyone else.

Timothy L. Donnelly, chief of the Broward State Attorney’s public corruption unit?

Tim Donnelly is the corruption in the unit.

Thanks Satz! Now Ginger and her soulmate can sell cocaine full time with the blessings of your office. Next time I read the ridiculous sound byte from Ishoy that “here at the SAO we fully-recognize that no one in Broward County is above the law” blah blah blah, I know I can fully believe it because I’m some brainless goober who believes everything I hear. Anyways, I’m heading back into court to launch some more minority 1st timers. It’s Monday and my supervisor wants me to meet my quota.

The most disconcerting fact concerning the state attorneys office giving an employee of this nature immunity is the flagrant double standard that has been applied to one of their own. If this had been anyone else you may be rest assured they would have been charged with trafficking and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. It seems to me that all cases being prosecuted out of DTU have been tainted by virtue of this woman’s knowledge and involvement with them. This decision by the state attorneys office sets a poor precedent and should be reviewed by the proper authorities.

Here’s how it works. SA turns a blind eye to the way BSO tried to cover-up the Peraza thing. BSO in-turn waits a few months to announce nothing on the Downs case. The same attorney represents Peraza and Downs. One hand washes the other and both hands wash the face.

The FBI won’t do shit about either case. Neither will FDLE. Both have become as useless as tits on a bull. All they care about is going after people connected to the local school boards. They have no interest in going after real criminals. The ones running the sheriff’s offices and the SA offices. Lets go after Pat Salerno and his $168K kickback. No need to fuss over a BSO deputy committing manslaughter and him and his bosses trying to tamper with evidence and cover it up. No need to focus on a SA’s DTU unit with a 21 year employee who also happens to be the girlfriend of one of Browards biggest drug dealers.

FDLE and the FBI have become a joke in Broward and Palm Beach County. We have 2 sheriffs and 2 SA’s (Broward and Palm Beach) who are as crooked as hillbilly teeth. This place is ground zero for gubment corruption and the best they can come up with is school board kickbacks? People are dying, lives are at risk, and cases are in jeopardy. But we must concentrate on the school boards and leave the sheriff and SA alone.

Maybe Hillary will put someone who actually gives a shit in charge of the FBI down here. But I doubt it. 10 more years baby and we’re outta this glorified sandbar and off to Lake George. Maybe we’ll keep a small condo for winter visits. Maybe.

This website was started by a former deputy fed up with the corruption in law enforcement. It is hosted in the Russian Federation, out of the hands of American law enforcement and American courts. Law enforcement officers may post freely, without fear of retaliation from their superiors. If you have dishonest, unethical, or outright criminal elements working in your ranks, post about it – we have your back. You don’t even have to register or provide us with an email address!

A few little ground rules though..
    1. I would like to say that no topic is off limit, anв we would like to keep it this way, but there simply can be no discussion of the identities of other posters. This site provides anonymity for a reason.
    2. Try to keep the vulgar language to a minimum. The C word referring to women… immediate deletion of the entire post.
    3. Post truth. I know that truth doesn’t always mean having supporting evidence. For instance, if someone stole a gun from evidence like Sheriff Bradshaw of Palm Beach County did, and it was swept under the rug, well, the thief is still a thief. And he still committed a crime. If someone raped someone else and the charges were dropped, the guy is still a rapist. That’s just common sense and we don’t mind you calling people out for it.

Keep these things in mind, and Happy Posting!

By the way, Broward County can thank ASA Dennis Nicewander for the incentive to start this board.

Swartz must be making bank..that’s why you all hate him because he’s a great lawyer with great knowledge of the law and a snazzy dresser. All you losers making no money wish you had as much legal knowledge as Eric. He probably used his law mind to negotiate the immunity deal.

So keep on hating while he dances on you guys with his Fendi loafers. I am sure you will all be eating the free food at his office party. Stuffing your chubby little faces with all the free chicken tenders you can eat.

    Life as a drug mule:

The U.S. Supreme Court dealt with body packing in United States v. Broward *SAO *DTU. In Broward County, a *woman attempted to smuggle 88 balloons of cocaine in *her gastrointestinal tract. *She had been allowed to work for over 16 hours by SAO before *she finally passed some of the balloons to give to *her *boyfriend. *She was being held because *her abdomen was noticeably swollen (*she claimed to have eaten a Whopper), and a search of *her body had revealed that *she was not wearing underpants and had lined *her crotch area with paper towels. This is done because balloon swallowing makes bowel movements difficult to control. The *woman claimed *her Fourth Amendment rights had been violated, but the court found in favor of the *SAO ordered *her to work 18 hour shifts at DTU.

*names were changed to protect the guilty.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Barona was Nick Navarro’s “Master Chef” in the 80’s for “Operation Crack Rocks.” Thanks to Barona’s successfull proven track record with BSO, Satz & the DTU rewarded Barona with a handsome contract to provide some industry knowledge as needed. Barona was probably paid far above & beyond what starting ASA’s make. Anyhow, since Barona was a frequent visitor to the DTU office, he met Ginger. They fell in love and commingled business activities together. Since Ginger knows a little too much of the inner workings of not only DTU but also SAO (such as who watches kiddie porn on their work computers & who snorts coke after Friday night happy hours’) she was offered a sweet immunity deal allowing her to parachute out of SAO avoiding any criminal charges. All she had to do was read a prewritten statement made by either Gallagher or Ishoy. Barona was probably also offered the same deal (he blamed it all on Ginger I’m sure). Since its pure finger-pointing, FDLE & BSO will have no problem closing it out in a few months with a finding of no recommended charges. I’m assuming this will happen by August leaving enough time for Satz to have a clear name for the elections. Not that Satz needs it since apparently he has a strong following & support amongst the convicted felon population.

Why would FDLE give em the heads up? Why not continue to investigate Downs and see just how deep this conspiracy really goes?
