SO LONG, JACK!

Daily Business Review

JAABLOG may be dying from benign neglect, but that doesn’t mean we still don’t break the news.

Today the Daily Business Review (DBR) confirmed our January 22nd post regarding Jack Tuter heading back to the private sector, in an article that also verified Carol-Lisa Phillips as the incoming Chief Judge of the 17th Circuit.

From the DBR:

… “The (Chief Judge) news comes as Broward Circuit Chief Judge Jack Tuter intends to send a letter to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis later this week about retiring from the state court bench after over a decade of service. Tuter … revealed that he intends to re-enter the private practice.”

Once again, congratulations to Carol-Lisa on the unanimous support from her colleagues to lead the 17th. It’s a long way from the DBR reported aspiration she held growing up “to become a garbage collector,” but we bet when she retires and looks back on her career she will have undoubtedly scratched that itch too …

WELL DONE!

Hope Ole Tooty does a better job in private practice than he has as Chief Judge in this circus of a circuit. Considering the way he got there, he’s certainly continued to disappoint.
He’s getting long in the tooth to be competing in the private sector, and considering his lack of talent, I sincerely doubt he’ll be practicing law long if at all.
We know he could never get elected to office. He tried that already.
You won’t catch many crying over his departure.

He’ll become a mediator like the rest of the former gov gophers.
He’s already shown he can’t do anything else.

How embarrassing to only be a mediator when you hold a law license. It’s like saying you’re a mechanic, but can only do oil changes.

Mediators can make a lot of $$. (More $$ that judges) He won’t make a lot. I don’t think he will be a good mediator.. He isn’t a good people person. I wouldn’t use him.

After what I’ve seen of. Jack Tuter, I wouldn’t use him to clean the toilets in the apartment complex I own.

      Hit the road, jack
And don’t you come back no mo

Seriously though, could you see Tuter or most of these government hack judges EVER persuading ANYONE to hire them …. for ANYTHING ?!

      oh right, as a mediator;
      Because it’s required by a pretrial order;

      Former Judge:
      “Ha Ha! Pay up”

It’s like Natasha (‘tasha’ to the Broward voters) DePrimo pretending to have prior legal experience.

He could be a coverage lawyer?? How could one of his former underlings deny him a continuance? When the reset is super important? He could charge big buckeroos!!

Well, considering he grosses about $750 a day as a Judge now than this isn’t such a bad idea because say he charges $100 per continuance and with Zoom he could easily do 10 a day and then he’s making $1000 a day which is more than a Judge for working even less than a Judge. I know there’s a lot of mediation firms recruiting ex Judges but maybe an entrepreneurial lawyer person could gather a bunch of ex Judges to appear all over the State before former colleagues for a continuance law firm. I mean JT could possibly spear head this new business model and aggregate a lot of easy money. Anybody out there agree?

Do Judges have to pay the same taxes as everyone else? Off that $750 a day? Because when daily lunch and dinner out can easily top $200 a day that money seems pretty low to pay people with such important jobs. Are the taxes lower or something for government?

He ain’t gonna carry a docket for sure. He’s gotten used to doing nothing sitting around on his fat gut all day dodging any work. That’s what CJs do in this dump when they’re not putting their portraits up on walls. Jack in particular is a real dodger.

Conrad Sherer ex partner, ex Broward Sheriff, disgraced disbarred attorney and ex convict, all because of the Mercedes.
Really no great loss, not a good guy.
Son Jenne is a or was a State Rep probably angling towards county commissioner. They just can’t leave the govt trough

I’m wondering how the three friends (Lee, Tuter, Diaz) all retired so closely in time. Are they doing a law firm? Is there any scuttlebutt on that?

        1. 0

          0

. That’s all Diaz would be capable of doing. Hope he doesn’t fall asleep in court before he gets the continuance. Who would hire that clown for anything?

They’ve been sucking at the public trough so long and so hard that they’ve imploded from the effort. God knows that none of the three freeloaders have done anything to improve anything. Tuter has provided cover for all freeloaders. That’s about all besides honoring himself for doing a bad job.

Why would they open a law firm vs enjoying retirement with full benefits? There’s way too many layers now not making any money.

Tooty has already shown that you can never get enough of doing nothing. Especially when there’s a pension involved.

Oh, hey, What’s this? JAAB has something about a new chief judge?!

Better do a report on it

Garbage collectors make more money than a lot of private practice attorneys, plus they have benefits and pensions.

She’d have to be a better garbage collector than she ever was a judge. Even with Tuter providing cover for Liz Twit, she still screwed up.

Don’t know if you’ve noticed lately, but somebody stuck a big wad of gum on the bottom of Tooty’s portrait ! Lol

He squirreled his way in failing his election bid for judge and now is squirreling his way out. He did more to encourage judicial bad behavior in my opinion than anything else by providing judicial cover for the participants . He never did anything during his tenure as CJ to improve a deplorable judiciary in dire need of administration and reform. Broward has had more judges removed from the bench over the years than any other judicial circuit in Florida. That will be what he will be remembered for.

That crazy old hag got her walking papers handed to her by Tuter. Gotta give him that. Ehrlich was nuts !

I believe he created the problem. If memory serves he moved her from her division and she got mad and went on the war path after resigning? Is this a correct recollection? If I remember it right it was JT that caused the problem?

Looney Tunes still has the wits left to do coverage work I assume? Or is that beyond the pale at his stage ?

Tuter has been a huge disappointment as chief judge. Just another slider who has been an embarrassment to the Broward Judiciary.

Even that is beyond comprehension. Shouldn’t be like a state representative who is out now becomes a lobbyist. Rubbing elbows with the same clowns. Wow. But common for Broward.

Tuter has never been anything but Scherer’s lackey from the beginning and he couldn’t even do that right. He needs to crawl back down his mole hole and stay there. He’s made the 17th the laughingstock of the state.

It was terrible. A bunch of confused rappers jumping around like idiots. It’s what passes for entertainment these days I guess.
