Kind, helpful, introspective and compassionate. Jim was a pearl among swine. He will be missed and remembered by many who knew him.

Yes. A gentleman. Never got in the muck. Played it clean. Won awfully tough cases because of it.

When a young atty had an emergency he was still at work. And when he said “i have a case” it was good law/on point. Unlikely 90% of everyone else that ever said that.

I am so sad to hear of Jim’s passing. We were PDs together and he was such a kind person. Rest in Peace, sir. Sending love to Julie and your family.

This is terrible news. Jim wells was an outstanding lawyer, a thoughtful scholar, and kind and decent human being. I feel sorry for the people who never got to see him at work. Rest in peace.

I worked at the PD’s office 17 years ago and had many lunches with Jim. He was so smart and generous with his knowledge and time. Great guy. God bless.

Again Mickey you actually asked someone a question. And wanted an answer. I thought you had all the answers?

Funny thing about this blog, the only time you’re a good person is when you die.

No. Isn’t there a saying that goes something like: Your name should only be in the newspaper 3x in life: Birth / Marriage / Death. That being said, when I was an intern and then young PD back in 93-94, Jim was one of the most willing to sit and listen and help – not B.S. attitude. Just a very smart, pleasant, normal person.

Jim was smart, caring PD who fought the fight with class and skill. We were young PD’s is the beginnings of our journey up the ranks. Rest in Peace my friend. God Bless

One of the best guys I ever met. We had countless laughs over the years and he taught me so much. You will be missed by so many people.

The quietest ones spoke loudest with deeds and good works.

Jim was a quiet one. RIP to a great PD and someone who taught me a lot back when I was a baby lawyer 20+ years ago.

Truly broken hearted to learn of Jim’s passing. This man was a mensch in every sense. Perhaps Billy Joel is correct….only the good dye young. Loving energy to you Jim and your family.
