THURSDAY NOTES

Credit where credit is due – it took a lot of guts for Peter Weinstein to apologize to Nadine Girault Levy, the Chief Assistant Public Defender who has been battling Jay Hurley over the right to representation for defendants accused of municipal ordinances.  According to Nadine, it happened Tuesday, shortly after Weinstein sent his email to the judges blasting Finkelstein for the clown house comments.  The chief judge asked to speak to her, and offered an apology on behalf of himself and all the judges for the way she was treated when things got heated a few weeks ago in First Appearances court.  Weinstein also mentioned he hoped Hurley would offer a mea culpa as well, but Nadine’s not holding her breath.  In any event, check out Bob Norman’s report for all the updates on the municipal ordinances issue, where public exposure once again seems to have gotten the job done …

Weinstein can cry and work his sob act but it’s falling on deaf ears. He’s cried wolf so many times for his lack of leadership that nobody cares anymore what he’s got to say. It’s a old tired song that they can’t remember the words to anymore! Somebody needs to check the dockets of all Broward judges every day. With the exception of Weinstein they are all supposed to be working an eight hour day which of course is not the case. Continue to shed the light on these slackers for you can bet nobody else is.

I would like to file a formal complaint to court administration. The popcorn is cold and greasy and the peanuts are stale. The acts and performers are old predictable and dull. Please fix immediately. Paying customers deserve better.

Bailey and Contini will be a welcome addition to the bench. I have known them personally for over 25 years. This will be the beginning of a new and better era.

An apology from a broward judge is no more than a totally meaningless, insincere, UNapologetic fart in the wind that lacks any accountability or penalty.

So does someone think any Broward judge is ok?. I think they may work short hours because they are basically brain dead and have to back on their life support.

So, they’re at it again? Chief Judge Weinstein is just another broken handset in a long line of do nothing judges that reside in Broward … Shouldn’t he be presiding over AA Meetings for the rest of them?

Bill can you do a public records request so we can see when the Judges arrive and when they depart? Either by viewing the video of them entering and departing the parking lot or vis by the scan card?

The function of a state atty and all assas is to seek the truth and constitutionally fair trials, unless it is not part of the unwritten policies of mikkie ratsatz who makes sure he gets judges he can manipulate into unfair trials and fraudulent convictions based on lies and deceit, because he and his orifice are the beneficiaries of any errors. Once his department can get a bad defense attorney to roll over, they his office also becomes the defense attorney FOR the bad attorney, so defense attorneys love him because they know ho team will be behind him if they get outed for selling out a client.
