Scherer not looking happy…………… never seen a judge that has wanted to execute somebody so bad.

She was shooting the jury the worst looks when she opened each verdict. Like she was their mother and she was admonishing them. It was wild. She’s never even presided over a murder and she wanted so badly to sentence someone to death. So badly. It was all over her face and demeanor. Way to be NEUTRAL.

Notwithstanding her relationship with a certain prosecutor, Ana wasn’t a bad judge for the defense.

          Stop.
She was a remorseless hammer for the state who thought she could ride cruelty to the federal bench.
If she hadn’t boxed herself in with lies she probably could have made it too.
          That’s the saddest part.

Let me guess? You’re a Christian? Lol, the most hateful people…the ones who can’t wait for people to fry…always the “Christians”—-lining the streets, “shame….shame….shame….” They love it.

WHY IN THE WORLD IS JUDGE SCHERER READING THE FOREMAN’S FULL NAME? SHE IS PUTTING A TARGET ON THAT GUY!! WTF?

Looks like the internet tough guys (who have probably never tried a case) insulting and demeaning Melisa don’t have much to say now.

Are you referring to the woman who is now the most famous lawyer in the history of Broward County?

Oh stop w the promoting of the dryhumpers.
The ONLY reason it was Life = bc one juror was too stupid to understand the case.

        ONE juror.

In fact, one of the things argued by the defense to the jury was: “the Def will get his when he is in prison”.

What lawyer wants to be known as the one who tricked ONE Dumb Juror w the possibly unethical argument of: ” well, just vote for life bc he’ll get shanked in prison anyways”

Yeah, some real legal geniuses there!

It worked and Son of Sam is still alive and walking population. I saw him being admitted to Dannemora where a contract was on his life and the prison staff had to secure his safety. Time changes and people change.
Trust me I hope he gets his justice but don’t be so positive.

“ONE Juror”…….. that’s called “the law” buddy. Just in case you don’t know your audience here.

Don’t care how shitz disguises it, he’s looking to prosecute her. She should refuse to be “interviewed” by the shit, keep her mouth shut and get an attorney, because Anyting she says, shitz is planning on using against her, as well as settng a standard that the province and sanctity of a jury can be further vioated by the state, when people do not like the resut.

I mean stay can’t even sit in a chair without falling. Pryor had the power to end this early. He didn’t.

Not a good photo op for someone who admitted to shooting all those people, or for the defense attorney with his arm around him

Shows the guy smiling, plus Wheeler is hugging him smiling too.

Hey, you can represent the guy without having to hug him. Hey: Wheeler & McNeil, he shot and killed lots of innocent people — no need to tarnish your own reputations w all the grab ass

    1. 6

      2

McNeill hasn’t been able to keep her hands of him since this thing started …
Wheeler is just an embarrassing amateur.

Great job by the PDs on this one. LOL at satz and that judge. Oh you can tell they both were salty.

      1. 2

        0

Yeah. LOL. So much Lolz. You disgusting person. There is ZERO funny about this case. This guy massacred kids. Their parents are devastated. You can say the PD did a good job- without the LOL. It’s just so disgusting and cold. You must be a heartless POS.

What a truly sad day for all the parents that lost their children because of this brain dead monster but also to all the residents of Florida. How much did it cost to give this fool a legal team and what will it cost tax payers to keep him in prison for life? He needs to be stood against a wall and let every parent that lost their child do with him as they see fit. He won’t last long in prison.

      1

      Cost? Of THOSE dryhumpers?

      It didn’t cost taxpayers squat

They are on the public dole, and represent whomever they are assigned to

      Wheeler: $62,999 per year
      McNeill: 65,499 per year

But they have other clients, too, so that 62k isn’t just for Cruz

      1. 2

        0

Actually, detailed studies show it costs MORE to go death than Life.

That is bc the lawyers on death row aren’t very affordable PDs like McNeil

      2. 3

        0

If that is all they are paid obviously they aren’t selling their soul. They had a very difficult job. I couldn’t do it. They did their job. I’ve been involved in civil lawsuits where attorneys did not speak or look at the opposing parties, it’s an adversarial system. It is difficult that the human factor is removed. And trust me, as difficult it is for families to understand, the lawyers feel the same way. Time may change it, but feelings and emotions are hurt to the point that reconciliation or communication is very difficult.
        Peace to the Families

Considering the crappy job the defense did, I’d say they just lucked out with one juror who wouldn’t have voted for death if they had lost their grandmother at Stoneman Douglass.
By the looks of it, both Wheeler and McNeil are grossly overpaid.

Judge Scherer what a disgrace. Her face makeup looked like the Joker in a Batman movie or a prostitute pleading out on the second floor county courtroom. But maybe Hollywood likes it. Kim Kardashian beware.
Plus she could not even read the verdicts properly. Wow what a true disgrace.
My prayers for the families. Today is not and was not going bring your loved ones home.
What ever verdict you wanted today, I am with you and I cry and pray for you all

Well dumb ass who do you think pays their salaries, the Taxpayers YOU AND ME!!! Between his defense team and 3 hots and a cot in prison this scum will cost us plenty.

    1. 2

      3

No, looks like YOU are the dumb ass bc you forgot that these PDs were finna get their salaries
      Regardless of who they represent!

Oh, and yes the prison bed space, crappy food, is STILL much less than the cost of a fully appealed and litigated death sentence

      It’s ok. You’re dumb.

      1. 2

        0

Yes they get paid no matter who they represent by the government/ Taxpayers. Prison is also Federal or State funded which is also, guess what TAX DOLLARS. Perhaps you have ADD or bad reading comprehension because the point was look at all the money that’s being wasted on this monster. Maybe if these losers see they are going to get the death penalty they might think twice before killing innocent children.

        1. 3

Cruz shot up the school because he was a nobody and no one liked him. He wants attention and admiration and now he’s getting lots of it. He has plenty of sicko fans. So whether he got the death penalty or spends the rest of his life getting raped in prison he’s still getting exactly what he wants: Attention. And all this fuss and speculation we’re making (as a country) is just encouraging the next guy who wants to take the easy route to making a name for himself.

Even on the rare occasions people are rooting for MJS to succeed he screws up. At least Broward can finally say goodbye to this misguided anachronism.

We seriously should rename the award for the BEST lawyer in Broward County’s history. I mean, Harry Gulkin was either some Broward attorney from like 40 years ago, or a Canadian film producer. I can’t be sure because I’m not old as shit.

Melisa McNeil is a criminal defense icon. Rename the damn award after her!

    1. 8

      4

This is the best comment I’ve seen on this trash talk bastion in ages. Gulkin is about as relevant now as that old statue of Governor Broward. He was a Satz prosecutor and a Judge for crying out loud. Hardly a pedigreed defender. I say as well to give the BACDL renewed credibility and to honor this massive achievement: rename the award for Ms. Mcneil.

  11. 6

    4

Mike let one juror slip by his radar in voir dire he shouldn’t have. This is what happens when you bring back a geriatric dinosaur to prosecute a case of this magnitude. I really don’t think the life sentence can be attributed to the job the defense did, just some woke juror who had his or her mind made up on the death penalty before they ever heard the evidence and couldn’t be swayed to impose death by the reality of a bunch of kids being needlessly shot to death and the perp then heading to McDonalds for a snack.
My sympathies are with the families of the slain, and this verdict is the swan’s song Mike Satz will ultimately be remembered for.

    1. 3

      2

When you do not do what Satz wants, he looks to prosecute you, but when Satz and his team, including Raft, Donnelly wants to and does something criminal to an innocent person, outside the law, he never similarly and equally prosecutes himself or other ASSA team member violatiors, but defends them. Pretty Pryor promised he would prosecute his own lying ASSAs, when running for orafice, but I don’t see that happening either.

      1. 1

        0

Raft was one of the biggest psychos I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. He’s one duffis that should have been locked away himself years ago !

Wait until she still sentences him to death. Reversal to life but the liberals legislate from the bench all the time. “I know the law says this but I think that. “ Will be interesting to see it go the other way.

McNeil could never run for anything ever. You think anyone would ever vote for the person that helped save that mass murderer? I get that she was just doing her job, and she did it well, but the voters will never ever forgive her. She can’t win any election, ever, anywhere in the country. Her husband is lucky he has a different last name.

  14. 2

McNeil doesn’t have the guts and wouldn’t buck the judges seeing that she’s married to one of the biggest morons on the bench ! LOL

  15. 10

    4

It was not 11-1 it was 9-3. That is a hell of a job by the defense. 11-1 would have been a hell of a job by the defense. Prosecutors or the public can make whatever comments they want but the reality is that Satz and company way overtried this case and the bloodlust of the judge also undoubtedly turned the jury off. And the defense did it right, plead early which was controversial but surely impressed some jurors, presented the mitigation quickly and shut up. You take 12 people and tell them to give you 2 months of their life on something that could have been done without a trial or if a trial could have been done in 2 weeks, you may get a backlash. A terrible job by Broward SAO and a tremendous job by Broward PD.

Speaking of monsters….has anyone heard anything especially shitty about hunter Davis lately? You know…morally disturbing shit? The kind of stuff that makes you wonder how this hollow husk of man child could sit in judgment of others or their honesty—when he’s a compulsive liar who hides his true nature behind the cloak of the bench and religion? Or has his departure from social media ensured no one can piece together the depraved shit he’s been up to?

Amazing, the counties most unethical creep attorney with this Web Site is posting comments about legal matters that are important. He should start with the fact that the new public defender is unimpressive and weak.

  21. 7

What do we do about how shitty the state attorneys office has become now that all the good people are gone? It’s a bunch of inexperienced people who don’t know enough to do the right thing on cases and they just hard ass everything. Or else they hide their laziness or stupidity behind a smokescreen of refusing to communicate. There’s exceptions, but for the most part it’s a really scary terrain these days. Something has to change or cases won’t move.

    1. 2

Who is that big idiot in Bailey? He somehow became the lead? He’s a prime example. Dumb as rocks so he hides and pretends to be busy. It’s embarrassing.

    2. 3

      0

Pryor has single-handedly destroyed the state attorneys office in a matter of two years. He is absolutely a failure as a leader

  22. 5

    0

Same thing that happened when Little Howie took over the PD. He tried to create the office in his own contrived image and any real talent either took off or was pushed out. Now its just a bunch of idiots jockeying for position under Gordon and his cronies who spend all their time hiding from doing any work by running around in circles. Pryor is just another example of a lesser man trying to do a better man’s job.

How màny of you think Nancy Pelosi will blame Trump for her husband getting beat with a hammer? I also wonder if she still thinks we should defund the police? Something needs to be done about San Francisco, it’s the weirdest most nasty place on earth.

I think she should be fully investigated. Pissed because he tarnished her image with another woman in his car when he got a DUI, conveniently out of the country when someone just happens to break in to beat her husband with a hammer.

We shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

The way these family members are going after the public defenders is despicable. The state and judge should have done more to uphold the system and Constitution we all hold dear. Shameful.

    Here comes the JQC complaint!!

Lizzy’s behavior was deplorable today. Who in the hell speaks(screams at!) to attorneys like this knowing they are being recorded?! Yes- it will be all over the news- and yes she probably loves the attention…but does she not realize that she looks like a crazed lunatic that has to “prove her point”? This is BAD attention, not good. Everyone wanted that kid to fry, but the job of a GOOD judge is to remain calm and impartial.

She has made a complete fool and clown of herself. No wonder she is single again- can you imagine what she does at home if this is her “good behavior”??

    1. 5

      6

Well throwing the Chief Public Defender out of the courtroom without even listening at sidebar probably ends her time in criminal, at least.

      1. 9

        2

Nope. Weekes was trying to look important and grandstand (to counteract his well known reputation as a trial dodger)

judges run and manage the courtroom – Weekes should’ve been carried away by a deputy when he ignored Scherer’s order to go sit down

        1. 2

          0

You get what you vote for. You can thank Finkelstink and his cronies for the thankless scam. Gordon hides under the carpet unless it involves a photo op – a trick he learned from Finkelstink the crock of one-liners.

    2. 7

      0

Not sure how Tamara will avoid being disbarred (or at a minimum Suspended) for flipping off Judge Scherer in court?

The video is obvious & she cannot hide behind some flimsy b.s. “oh I was just scratching/rubbing my face”

p.s. ANYONE can file a Bar complaint (hint hint families of victims!), even if Judge Scherer chooses not to.

      1. 5

        2

ANYONE can also do a JQC complaint. AND THEY ARE ANONYMOUS. Hint hint everyone reading this.

      2. 0

        0

They’re all pigs at the same trough. Nobody will file a complaint against the judge or the moron attorney for flipping the bird to the judge. They all eat out of the same jar with no oversight or supervision as long as they can pump the taxpayers to the max.

  27. 7

    10

Judge Scherer did an amazing job letting the families speak. The way the defense acted during this trial to the victims flipping them off was disgusting. If I were one of these parents, I would have snuck in a shank through security and killed him right in the box and then would have pled guilty and let them sentence me to death. Without my child, life wouldn’t be worth living anymore anyway. And I’ve known for a long long time the justice system gives victims no justice!

        1. 8

          10

God I’m so over these parkland people acting like they invented being the victim of tragedy. It’s been five years. Have some dignity, make peace with your god, and move on. This sustained venom is despicable. What other school shooting resulted in the payouts parkland has gotten. Did it bring your kids back? Will killing Cruz bring your kid back? Will threatening the PDs and their children bring your kids back?? You didn’t invent being victims of school shootings. You should put this energy behind gun reform instead of political and personal financial gain. That’s gross.

          1. 6

            2

Spoken like the brainwashed PD …that is until one day….you or you family member become pray to some sick murderer. And what’s the first number you call? 911. Then, you make sure the prosecuting attorney gives the defendant the maximum penalty. All fun and games when it’s someone else’s family. Right? I believe the defense should have done the best job they could for their client, but the destain they showed throughout the trial for the victims families was what encouraged this outrage hate and disgust with the whole system. You can’t even send your kids to school anymore without wondering if they be next. It’s all just a tragedy

          2. 8

            1

You must not have children. For you to say that you are “so over these people” who had their children butchered by this monster is vile. They are entitled to their anger. The public defender stuck her middle finger at them. They saw them laughing and massaging the monster (that wasn’t necessary). I do think they had a job to do-but they didn’t need all the extra. Also- just let these people vent and move on. Be thankful this hasn’t happened to you. You seem to think that since school shootings happen all the time “it’s not big deal” fuck off. These people lost their fucking kids. Go fuck yourself you heartless POS.

  28. 10

    1

Scherer is the real Karen of this trial… the court should have kindly redirected the victims away from character and personal attacks of any officer of the court or juror.

ONLY IN BROWARD COURTS WOULD YOU HAVE AN INEXPERIENCED AND INCAPABLE JUDGE WHO DADDY PUT ON THE BENCH THRU THE JQC PROCESS SITTING IN JUDGEMENT AND ISSUING RULINGS THRU ACTS OF SUCH AN IMMATURE AND INCOMPETENT NATURE
ITS NOT BAD ENOUGH THAT THE JURY SPARED THIS MONSTER’S LIFE – THEN YOU HAVE THIS PIPSQUEEK BIMBO JUDGE MAKING HERSELF APPEAR LIKE A CLOWN IN ROBES DOING A DANCE OF UTTER INCOMPETENCE
LIZ IS PROBABLY BETTER AT GETTING HER NAILS DONE IF SHE CAN KEEP HER SKIRT FROM BLOWING UP DURING THE PROCESS
SHE’S BEEN WAY OVER HER HEAD SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THIS TRIAL AND SHE’S ALWAYS HAD A CHIP ON HER SHOULDER FOR MCNEIL
ALTHOUGH WHEELER IS AN IDIOT AND WEEKES IS LAZY AND INEFFECTIVE, LIZ IS AN ABSOLUTE TWIT

Since when does the elected Public Defender come into Court and attempt to lecture a sitting judge ? I think Scherer showed more patience than most judges would have done under like circumstances.
If he wants to argue something, maybe he should take a case or two and relieve the overburdened lawyers in his office, but to stumble into Court and attempt to chastise the Judge for a show of solidarity within the ranks was misguided to say the least and shows lack of foresight.

    1. 3

      3

Don’t see the necessity of Week’s appearance before the court unless it was just to grab some attention … Where has he been throughout the trial ? Judge Scherer was right to shut him down.

  33. 7

    3

As a defense lawyer, I would have walked out. Who are you to scold me for representing my client? GTFOH. Idiots don’t understand that we defend our clients under the law. In no way does that mean that we approve of what our clients have done.

  34. 4

    1

Nobody who has ever had any dealings with Gordon would argue the guy is very bright. The only thing he’s even marginally good at is dodging work. This idea of grandstanding in this instance is one of his worst ideas yet.
We can all thank Howie Finkelstein for his magnanimous choice of dimwits to leave the Public Pretender’s Office to. It’s certainly living up to its name.

EMPATHY. Webster defines as giving the finger to the camera and laughing in front of grieving family members. We Won. And stating they endured more than the grieving families.
They should all be removed disbarred and flocked in front of that Mount Trasmore Building.
But the SAO wouldn’t agree with it because they should be there tooo
Nothing like truthfully advising your clients of getting a death verdict. Nearly, absolutely impossible.
