WEDNESDAY NOTES

Where’s Weinstein? – we left a couple of messages for Peter Weinstein today, as morale is at an all-time low around the Broward courthouse.  Campaigning judges seem to be everywhere but work, leaving other judges to cover, who then sometimes disappear themselves. It just doesn’t seem right, and you’re paying for it, dear readers.

Case in point, Raag Singhal covering Matt Destry’s docket for days on end, except the ever-volatile Singhal didn’t turn up for work himself last Monday, most notably leaving David Bogenschutz’s high profile defense of Dr. Augustine Bollo to be re-tried before Marty Bidwill.  Singhal’s reportedly out all week, with no return date in sight, at least according to one high-level source who told us today that Raag is “on leave for personal reasons“, and that “he had to take some time“.  Hopefully Weinstein will call back with more definitive answers on Singhal’s status and return, as well as insight regarding workplace expectations for judges who also happen to be running a campaign.

Although the chief judge wasn’t available to talk about the important issues described above, he was thankfully able to send the following email this afternoon arranging a luncheon for visiting 4th DCA judges toward the end of the month.

As follows:

to ALL

On Tuesday, June 28th, Judges Forst, Ciklin and Levine will be hearing oral arguments in our courthouse.  I am setting up a lunch appointment for them to join us. If you are interested, please reply to this email so we can get a count.  I thought Bravos on 17th street would be good as they have good food and ample parking.

Please let me know if you wish to join us.

Peter

We’re not too sure who “ALL” would be, but since judicial email is public record, and since it’s likely taxpayer dollars are being used for everything, in addition to the visiting jurists’ salaries, we think you ought to have a seat at the table too.

Call 954-831-5506 to RSVP …

COMING SOON – What did Matt Destry tell the Sun Sentinel concerning the instigation of mitigation proceedings on behalf of Herbert Smith?;  Kendrick Busby vindicated!

FYI. The Chief Judge will be sitting on his porcelain throne immediately after the luncheon for the judges from the 4th. Stay clear of his chambers as he will be dropping massive chaluppas after stuffing himself at the luncheon. Hopefully he has plenty of toilet paper this time. There’s gonna be alot of plop plop of chaluppas for sure. Take cover and hold your noses for the highly toxic fumes.

Leave it to Fatty Weinstein to know where to find the good slop!
My God, does this guy have any shame ? Bravos ?

The voters knew what they were doing when they refused to send Provincial Pete to D.C. Leave the caviar and champagne for those who appreciate it.

I see Weinstein remains more concerned about his gut than the deplorable state of affairs in the 17th. Peter Weinstein seems to typify the slack sense of attention to detail of a consummate bureaucrat dedicated only to filling both his pockets and his stomach.

But is Weinstein going to do his Marlon Brando imitation ? That’s the real question. Pretty bad. Does this flapjack ever tire of networking? With all the chit hitting the fan with Broward judges, and his feeble performance with the Rosenthal/Pollack fiasco, and not carrying a docket like other chief judges in other circuits, you’d think he’d have more important and relevant things to do but stuff his face. What a joke.

It’s not bad enough that he’s covering for Destry while he’s in hyperdrive campaigning to keep his lousy seat against 4 contenders, but now Singhal has mysteriously disappeared to parts unknown, for reasons unknown, dumping his docket on Bidwell to contend with.
No big whoop except that taxpayers are paying for Singhal’s mysterious sabbatical. And of course no word from Chief Judge Weinstein who is supposed to be managing these judicial goofballs.
It looks like the only thing he wants to manage is the judicial lunch schedules of these slackers, all parading around on the public dime. That’s a lot of jingle !

Broward’s judiciary is under siege with multiple judges looking to keep their gravey train stocked and the only thing he can think about is filling his pie hole?

Singhal has some explaining to do. The way he’s been acting of late raises some interesting questions. It wouldn’t surprise me if he isn’t the next Broward judge to be run against and since he was appointed and handed the egg, he’s probably going to get it scrambled this time.
He’d be an easy judge to beat in Broward bringing to an end his freebie flash in the pan.

I’ve been trying to call 831-5506 to RSVP for the luncheon at Bravos and the line is continually busy. What’s going on, did he take the phone off the hook.?

From these judges whining and crying about how more judges need to be hired because they are so stressed out and overwhelmed with so much work to the bailiffs that hang out with them cheating on tests to JAs getting laid in chambers this place is a real craphole. To the whining sniveling judges I say this….come to work EVERYDAY ON TIME like the rest of us little people and work a FULL 8 hours and actually work 5 days a week. Your not fooling anyone with your overworked BS. All that anyone has to do is walk the hallways and check out which courtroom is working. And guess what 90% are empty with the judges NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. So quit whining about needing more judges. Do your jobs you overpaid slackers……To the useless bailiffs, you are all a disgrace to the uniform that you wear and represent. Cheating on security test, really ! How look can you go. Grow up already….. To the JAs please keep your pants up and dresses pulled down. Go get laid on your own time somewhere else. The judges and bailiffs are a disgrace and embarrassment to everyone in broward county. We are the laughing stock of the entire state.

He’s probably sick and tired of covering for that weirdo Destry as he tries desperately to hold on to his job. Got news for him, it doesn’t look like it’s going to be for much longer. Everybody can’t be wrong. He’s made his bed and now he’s spending sleepless nights wondering if his free ride is going to last a few more terms to what he thought was going to be a big fat pension. Pedro no Pedro found out the hard way that you lose what you can’t hold onto because of his arrogant, rude, attitude and demeanor on the bench. Broward judges should be able to figure it out by now. The free rides are coming to an abrupt end for those who can’t behave like they are supposed to. These jackasses are going to get filed against for passed transgressions. People don’t forget as easily as they used to when petty tyrants ruled the roost.

I have found that Everytime that I need to get the 411 on what’s going on in the courthouse regarding ANYTHING or ANYONE I engage the bailiff in 336 in friendly casual conversation and she is more than willing to talk about everything that is going on in the courthouse and bso. She’s very knowledgeable of the goings on here. She’s like the unofficial courthouse public information officer.

Never thought very much of Singhal’s sniveling attitude when he was trying so desperately to be a judge because without the Wheel (Article 5) his business was drying up and the guy was sucking the bum of anyone who he thought could do him some good politically. Always schlepping around the halls trying to act all presidential while sucking everybody for advice. Then when he got the appointment he stuck his nose up in the air like a dog lookin for treats. He was just another loser till he pandered the appointment. Now he thinks he’s sitting on the Supreme Court or something. Broward has some of the worst judges to ever sit on the bench. I personally county him among them. He doesn’t fool me with his studied look of pius propriety.

We’re still trying to call 831-5506 to RSVP for the luncheon at Bravos and still no luck. Are you sure that’s the right number to call. Is his JA booking the RSVP request ? She needs to answer the phone. We have 19 people to RSVP for.

Bill, you have really outdone yourself this time. In case no one told you, Peter Weinstein is not required to jump for the phone whenever you attempt to contact him. In addition, he does have other duties and keeping you informed is not one of them. I think that you have convinced yourself that you are some kind of important person in Broward County because of this stupid blog and your prior deep throat relationship with the Fink. Moreover, you really believe that you are part of the media because they quote you in a story when they can’t find anyone else to say something stupid. The thing that really gets me though is the immature and irresponsible manner in which you behave when you don’t get your way. You seriously announce where there will be a meeting of a large group of judges in public in order for the lunatics who read your blog (including several known criminals) to have easy access to them on that date? Don’t you think that puts them in danger just because you feel that you weren’t treated as a celebrity by the Chief Judge? Who are you kidding? No one would even talk to you if some people weren’t so afraid that their name might show up on your rag publication with your mindless supporters writing terrible anonymous things about them. I think that now that you are a father that you should try your best to act in a mature and responsible manner and not put other people in danger just because you have a forum for your childish attempts to be noticed and appear relevant.

It’s about the only thing they like doing in public. They prefer the darkroom. This is Broward were talking about.

    2. 0

The only danger is of the possibility of contracting a nasty stomach ache at that dump … Not my favorite place. But then again, Weinstein will give you the same thing.

    3. 0

Tis the public needs to be afraid of danger. How many Broward Judges will get bombed at the luncheon honoring their greatness and then drunk drive. Remember to not cooperate and lie if caught. That’s how Broward plays.

Wow! A voice of reason on the gossip blog. What ? What? What? This is a miracle.

But thank you for pointing out how childish this post by Bill is and how unsafe it now is for the judges to convene at Bravos for lunch. Thank you for intelligent comment.

Please grow up Bill. Maybe you’ll get invited to the next party.

Bravo was merely a suggestion. After the entire judiciary is queried as to a consensus regarding the best restaurant to choose that meets the high standards and demanding palettes of the worldly and sophisticated (and high earning ) Broward judiciary, everyone will meet as usual at Arby’s where they will be bibbed and favored with extra side portions of Horsey sauce at no additional charge.

A LOT OF GOOD PEOPLE HAVE CALLED IT QUITS. MORE LEAVING. NOT A VERY GOOD PLACE TO WORK ANYMORE. SUPERVISORS WHO HANDLE NO CASES, LOW PAY AND MICROMANAGING CITED AS REASONS.

If you’re still trying to call 831-5506 good luck. No one is ever there. No judge, no JA. They are never at work. And when the JA does come to work she’s extremely rude and condescending when asked questions, heaven forbid that she has to actually do something. She is after all the Chief judges JA and entitled to miss work and when she does show up, do nothing. And the bailiff sitting outside is like a comatose zombie when asked where the Chief Judge is gives you a look like you just asked him to solve the world’s problems. He just shakes his head and goes back to watching movies on his computer. So the point is…don’t waste your time calling to RSVP. Just show up at Bravos and enjoy a great lunch with some great judges.

Just make sure there are no cocktails being served or no Broward judges brownbagging it. If noticed, exit the parking lot before all of them start their 2 hour afternoon break or head straight for home. Drive defensively.

Attention all bailiffs. Tuesday June 28th there will be a free luncheon to show our appreciation of your dedicated service to the judiciary. All are welcome to attend the luncheon at Bravos beginning at 12 noon. A good time will be had by all.

  15. 0

Oh boy. An open invitation for free lunch for the bailiffs. I hope Bravos has plenty of food for that luncheon. These moochers are going to show up in full force for free food regardless of how crappy it is. It’s free and that’s all that matters to the freeloading bailiffs. Bon Apetit.

  16. 0

The ” To Bill” posted above sounds like the Chief Judges JA might be a little bit upset. What’s wrong did Bill strike a nerve. I’m surprised that you are working today.

Is the Chief Judge taking his bailiff to the luncheon at Bravos to protect him from the evil and villainous Bill Gelin.? And more importantly is the Chief Judge going to pay for his bailiff/bodyguard lunch. We seriously think NOT.

  19. 0

Singhal is as lazy as the rest of them. If Broward judges worked a full day it would cause all kinds of problems.

  20. 0

The judges work a whopping 6 hours total for the ENTIRE week and complain, whine and cry how overworked and stressful jobs they have and Need more judges appointed so that they can take even more time off from their hard stressful jobs. All of these clowns should be stand up comedians. They are so full of themselves. How about the rest of us that have to work 50s to 60 hours a week at a pittance of what you professional blood suckers make. You all are really disgusting. Do your damn jobs like the rest of us have to. Or go back to practicing law and see how well that works out for you. Enough of feeding from the public trough.

  21. 0

    0

And by the way when you leave do us all a favor and take your precious two bit do nothing bailiffs with you. You all are made for each other stroking each other’s so very important egos.

  22. 0

The Chief Judge wasn’t the one that put the “All” in the email. That was a screw up by his ever so gracious and helpful JA. She’s already been reprimanded for that and will have to work a full day for at least the next two days as punishment.

  23. 0

Is this a joke? obviously Bill didn’t get his way before Judge Singhal. In my experience he is courteous, thoughtful and knows the applicable law. (Raag of course; not Bill of course) How you can take a great guy like Raag and say he is doing something wrong because he takes a week off in the summer? This blog has become a sounding board for the agenda of Bill. I have noticed comments disappearing after posted.

A man can do all things if he will. Singhal has done nothing to better the judiciary or the principles for which he used to stand for. I’ve lost respect for him. He’s turned into everything he used to espouse he didn’t care for within the Broward judiciary. He’s just in it for what he can get now.

The bailiff supervisor that cheated will also be getting honored for her exemplary service and integrity at the Bravos luncheon . Afterwards she will be conducting a seminar for the judges on how to cheat and get away with it. The seminar is already completely booked.

  25. 0

    0

Funny how when Broward judges get run against how they cancel their dockets and the whole courtroom grinds to a crawl. These jokers are really too much.

  26. 0

    0

Are you serious. The bailiffs supervisor that cheated on the test is being honored for honesty, integrity and ensuring a federal grant under false pretenses. Why not, we are talking about BSO and Broward county bailiffs and judges. Would you really expect anything less.

  27. 0

    0

So when the judges take the cheating exam after the bailiffs seminar is she going to help them all cheat on the test so they too can qualify for a federal grant. Just asking.

Still trying to call 831-5506 and still nobody there. Does this division ever work. Oh wait my bad I forgot that this is the chief judge and chief JA they have no work to do. How silly of me to expect them to answer the phone. And the bailiff….oh well he’s a bailiff so that needs no explanation.

  29. 0

    0

Talk to the Chief Judges bailiff about the RSVP for luncheon. For a nominal fee, say $5 he will make sure that you have a seat at the table next to the Oh Great One. It’s as easy as that. Forget calling, the JA is NOT going to answer the phone. Ever.

  30. 0

    0

We’d like to go to the luncheon also as long as that big mouth bailiff and her partner that walks funny and has smelly nasty breath don’t go. And why does that guy walk so funny,it looks like he sat on a corn cob and it got stuck in there.

  31. 0

    0

That was a judge in the north wing. He’s still in the north wing running for election. The north wing has alwaysbeen the hot spot of the courthouse for sex. Baillifs doing JAs and Judges doing baillifs. A regular smorgasbord over there.

    1. 0

      0

Is that the guy who was pounding the JA into the wall after hours and cause the pipe to burst and one of the infamous Shut downs?

  32. 0

    0

Did you ever think that when you call looking for the chief judge he maybe just maybe be indisposed sitting on his porcelain throne reading the law journal and dropping massive chalupas. He’s been known to do that several times a day. Especially when Bill Gellin is trying to talk to him.

  33. 0

    0

Yes that’s the one. Another one was the bailiff that was doing the JA in the chambers and the jury room and they got caught in the jury room by another prude baillif who complained. Both were married, not to each other.

  34. 0

    0

Word was that the judge was pounding the JA in the chambers bathroom and she was hanging on too the faucet and in their throes of extreme passion she broke the water faucet causing a flood. Who says Judges don’t work. This one sure was working it.

  35. 0

    0

Same as the baillif that was banging his judge for years. She even took him on trips. She was married with kids also and still is. She not a judge anymore. Her baillif still here and still doing her according to him.

  36. 0

    0

Please stop calling 831-5506. The JA is way to busy …. Doing absolutely nothing since they have NO caseload whatsoever. What is she busy at you might ask ? The JA is busy at doing nothing. Taking extra long lunches and going to the galleria mall keeps her way to busy to answer the phone or take messages. Please do not disturb her or the comatose baillif. She’s out shopping and he’s busy watching movies. Don’t call or bother them. Besides, the judge isn’t there either. It’s good to be the chief judge of the 17th circuit.

  37. 0

    0

Thank god that they are finally replacing all of the bailiffs in the north wing with detention deputies in the courtrooms. And more to follow. Much more professional and physically fit to handle the job. Thank you judges !

  40. 0

The fema test scam is 100% true. The bailiffs supervisor Valerie Pliaconas sat with the bailiffs cheating on the federal security test giving them each answer on the test. They all got federal certificates that they passed the test and got grant money. Total fraud and falsifying federal documents. Several bailiffs have spoken about the scam.

Is Administration aiding judicial campaigns by allowing incumbents to not be in court? What about the Judges that cover?

    1. 0

      0

I think this is going to be a major streach, and the public doesn’t care. They assume a judge is sitting back smoking cigars every day and playing golf by noon with the local senator.
Now a public Defender like Betsy Benson or Dale Miller the public expects to be at work.
This reeks of a big scam by the Fink to take eyes off the ball of his staff pulling paychecks to campaign.

We are still attempting to call 831-5506 and believe it or not we still can’t get anyone to answer the phone. Is this the correct phone number to the Chief Judges chambers. We’ve been told that the JA does not come in very often and didn’t realize that today was Friday. I am presuming that she’s not at work today. Does anyone know what day the JA does work. We would certainly like to RSVP for the Bravos luncheon.?

More problems at BSO. A sergeant was arrested yesterday for 29 counts of child pornography. A bailiff supervisor at the courthouse being singled out by bailiffs who were ordered to cheat on a federal fema security test by her for the purpose of BSO being given federal grants. The bailiffs have come forward and stated that they recieved federal certificates certifying them as being trained in advanced security and emergency situations for the new courthouse. They stated that the test was a complete scam as they all were given the answers by their supervisor. This was a complete fraud and falsification of official documents and in essence nullifies the entire test and certificates given to every single bailiff. This would also put the federal grant awarded to BSO under scrutiny. BSO has serious problems with their supervisors showing very little moral turpitude, honesty and credibility. This problem needs to be addressed and action taken to restore the credibility of the bailiffs and supervisors. As long as this type of behavior is permitted there will be NO credibility with the bailiffs at the courthouse.

  47. 0

    0

FYI. There is one bailiff named Citron that refused to take the fema test and cheat on it. Apparently he’s a retired decorated federal agent and has morals and true work ethics. And will probably be ostracized for his truthfulness and honesty.

Why does the Chief Judges JA get to park in the east garage while the rest of us have to park across the street and have to deal with the bums that hang out there. What makes her special ?

  49. 0

    0

Hey Whiney, can you still buy lard out of a jar ? Get off your fat duff and provide security for the judges at Bravos if you’re so concerned at the luncheon plans your stupid lazy JA sent out to everyone in the courthouse! I wouldn’t eat at that craphole myself!

  50. 0

That JA gets to park in the east garage because she’s the Chief JA that’s why. Plus she only works one day a week and that’s only until noon. So who really cares.

  51. 0

The bailiffs are a wealth of information concerning what goes on in this courthouse. They have the dirt on judges, attorneys and each other. Just engage ANY bailiff in casual friendly conversation and eventually they will tell you everything that you want to know about everything. Including how they all had to take a fema test and how they were ordered by supervisor Pliaconas to cheat on the test so they could get their federal certificates certifying them as being trained in advanced security and emergency situations and also get the federal grant. Some of the bailiffs thought it was funny and comical cheating on the test saying it was no big deal. But others felt very uneasy having to cheat. One bailiff flat out refused to do so and another one was actually joking about cheating on the test in the bailiffs briefing one morning in front of numerous other bailiffs and supervisors. This is a big problem with the rest of us that work here and deal with the bailiffs on a daily basis. We really feel that this is a real disservice to every single employee here that looks to these bailiffs for security and truthfulness. BSO does not need this kind of situation and type of supervision at the courthouse where the employees AND general public rely on them to be trained to do the correct action in an emergency situation. Certainly not to cheat on test and receive a fraudulent certification provided by an unscrupulous supervisor.

  52. 0

    0

Hey Truthseeker you actually look to these idiot loser bailiffs for security and truthfulness. What rock have you been living under. They are rapists, attempted murderers, pedophiles, sexual deviants, sexual predators , common thieves and supervisors that order subordinates to cheat on test. And you look to these misfits for security and truthfulness. Lol. Go back under your rock and take a nap.

Talk to the bailiff in 336 for 5 minutes and be nice and friendly with her and you’ll attain all the information that you need on any subject that you bring up. She’s very cooperative and knows quite a bit about what goes on in this place having been here a while.

  54. 0

    0

We’ve been trying to RSVP for a couple of days now but the JA NEVER answers the phone and the comatose bailiff wanted $20 to secure a place at the table. We politely told the comatose bailiff thanks but no thanks. We’ve decided to just show up at Bravos unannounced and take our chances. At last count there are 18 of us planning on being there.

  55. 0

    0

Hey the JA, stupid or not, did say ” ALL” persons were invited to the Bravos luncheon in her email. We’re also going and we heard that the bailiffs have a pretty good size group planning to go too. Bailiffs never miss a good free lunch if they can help it.

  56. 0

We’ve had 2 police officers in Broward who were recently arrested. Peraza and Costa. So how come when I check the clerk of courts website, neither one’s name appears as a defendant? I had to get the Peraza case # and search by that. Does anyone know the case # for “Call me daddy” Costa. I really want to read the pleadings and arrest paperwork. Why does Howard Forman run blocker for cops who get arrested and not list them by defendant name? And why does he give pro se plaintiffs legal advice on the forms when they file? Howard, you’re awful!

Bill, just to let you know, President Obama is really sorry that he could not immediately respond to your telephone call for him yesterday at the White House. He said to tell you that he has been really tied up lately with ISIS, the economy, and healthcare issues. He said to tell you that he will send Air Force One to pick you up in Fort Lauderdale next week in order to discuss your many important issues about courtroom bailiffs, judges campaigning to keep their jobs, and why nobody wants to work at the PD office anymore. Again, apologies from your buddy the Prez.

  59. 0

Hey at least we finally found out the name of the BSO bailiffs supervisor in charge of having all the bailiffs cheating on the Fema test….. Valerie Pliaconas. At least we know now who she is.

  60. 0

    0

The bailiffs supervisor is most certainly a credit to BSO and the bailiffs that she supervises. Without her none of them would have passed the test. Thank you for your dedicated service and the answers to the test. From all of us bailiffs.

Brian Greenwald is the worst! I am not as familiar with judge Destry but Brian Greenwald was my PD. Horrible person to work with. Unprofessional, rude, arrogant for no reason, and a sore loser. I wish there was a group that was openly against Greenwald and I would join. If he gets elected Judge, I will vomit. Maybe he will pull a gun again and get some bad press soon. He is the worst. Sort of like the presidential election- which is the lesser of two evils? Or just vote for one of the other candidates.

Greenwald and Destry both have their enemies. And both deserve their criticism. The difference is Greenwald is smart. You can hate the way he litigates but the bottom line is that he is intellectually far superior to Destry.

Abbe Rifkin has been a government employee her entire career, in MIAMI. Never ran a law practice, no business experience, no Broward legal ties. Has she even been in a Broward courtroom? She must have put her name up for judicial appointment at least a dozen times.

At least Destry ran a law practice for 7 years. And at least people in Broward knew who he was.

BSO sergeants that are into incest and child pornography, bailiffs raping and trying to kill the woman, bailiff supervisor forcing the bailiffs to cheat on a security test, and the list goes on and on. Yet we are supposed to work and trust these POS lowlifes. What a very sad state of affairs. BSO needs to start cleaning house and the sooner the better.

It’s like the last herd headed out of the pd. More people have quit in the last month than the last three years combined for reasons of bad bad managent and supervisors not carring their fair share of cases (zero caseload) and the lowest pay in years. The little pay hike given out ain’t gonna cut the mustard and isn’t keeping people there. Regional Counsel’s Office is has their pick with raises being offered of twenty plus thousand and no bs from supervisors who don’t do any cases. The line forms from the rear. It’s bad news in the PD. The Fink doesn’t even know what is going on. Intervention time again.

  64. 0

How does BSO justify and condone keeping a bailiff supervisor in the supervisory position when she has falsified federal certificates by having the bailiffs at the courthouse take a fema security test and give them all of the answers so that they can obtain a monetary federal grant. How can the judges in this courthouse or anyone else here trust her or believe anything that she says or signs off on. Her credibility and integrity is absolutely zero. How can anyone believe what she says to be true and honest. Her subordinates have lost credibility and respect for her as well. This supervisor needs to be removed from her position and disciplined for her actions.

These Broward judges are such floggers it’s a little hard to comprehend. Broward judges are the laziest bunch of freeloaders in the state. All of them are a disgrace to the profession. If they ever had to do an honest day’s work it would kill them. And they have the unmitigated gall to ask for more judges in Broward ! All of them should be made accountable for their time and it would shock taxpayers. Pretty schlocky work this bunch.

We are broward county judges the elite of the elite. We make our own schedules and work very hard at trying to get out of doing any work. It’s not easy trying to do a schedule like that. Now run along and do whatever it is that you little minions do.

Broward County courthouse is really a Paradise of the Amateur. From its judges like Weinstein, to its bailiffs who stumble around like lost souls; it’s got all the trappings of a Circuis for the Absurd.

They are all amateurs, from the incompetent judges right on to their ignorant incompetent rude bailiffs who can’t put two words together to make an intelligent sentence. Has BSO started hiring illegals now for bailiffs to save money. My god where do they find these people. If it wasn’t such a serious problem it would really be funny. Time for a major purge.

  73. 0

A major Enema is what is needed to blow all of the crap right out of the courthouse hopefully to never be seen or heard from again. It would be a real shame to stink up the new courthouse with this old smelly crap. Broward citizens deserve a fresh new start in the new courthouse.

Hi Bill! This is your ole buddy God. Sorry I could not immediately respond to your prayers today regarding judicial elections, bailiffs gone wild, and the exodus from the pd office. I really must apologize for getting distracted by floods, famines, and deadly viruses. I know that your issues always take precedent and I promise you that I will send a team of angels with a chariot for you early next week. I look forward to seeing you soon and I will of course continue your personal miracle of not getting disbarred by all of the ridiculous things that you say and do. Me Bless You.

Can god send a chariot for the rotten corrupt cheating bailiffs and their judges too. Please take them…. anywhere as long as it’s far far away from here and take the dumb JA that invites ALL to lunch and then is too lazy to answer the phone for us to RSVP. And now they want to change restaurant location to protect the judges from the dastardly evil Bill. But we’re sure that the JA will soon announce the new secret location. She can definitely be counted on to come thru again, she’s very smart and an excellent JA.

And this is the kind of junk we’ve got running the courthouse ? Thanks for all the good work Whiney. And we can thank Moses his daddy that had his back. Too bad you lost it but at least we can look forward to your lack of leadership among Broward judges who you fit right in with: misfits and miscreants all sucking at the trough just like you Whiney. It’s pretty gross. On to the hunt for the next jelly doughnut, right Whiney ? You’re an utter disgrace even among the other pigs at the trough.

Now you got Mitch Ceasar running for Clerk of the Courts ? Lol. Think I’ll get an apartment at Hawaiian Gardens but only after I talk to Judy the scuzz Stern to check out the condo assessments ! Lol

I for one would not miss a single one of those arrogant, rude, pushy know it all bailiffs. The broward county bailiffs are the worst bailiffs that I have ever had to deal with. Very unprofessional and clearly not mentally or physically fit to handle the job of courtroom security. All that I have observed concerning these bailiffs is them sleeping in courtrooms, constantly on their cellphones and being very loud and overbearing towards the people in the courtroom. They act like they are having a party all the time. Very unprofessional.

  78. 0

    0

Very very few judges in this courthouse should be judges. They are ripping off all of us , the taxpayers on a daily basis. Just take a walk on any given day and see how many empty and locked courtrooms you will find and when you happen to see a bailiff and ask them they will tell you that the judge is in a meeting and unavailable and you will get the same type of answer from the JAs. The judges are gone for the day or out politicking at our expense with the blessing of the Chief Judge who by the way carries NO CASELOAD whatsoever. Pick any day and after lunch the courthouse is practically a ghost town. And Fridays good luck finding any judge working. The judges really need to be to account for their work times just like the rest of us. Being a judge is the best paying part-time job available for the elite few who always cover for each other.

Give Pauly credit, he works three days a week but runs the career criminal unit from home on Fridays. On the other hand his wife Arlene recenly decided to go into work after not doing so for awhile but accidentially drove to West Satellite when she forgot what Courthouse she worked in.

I personally intend to report bso supervisor Pliaconas and the bailiffs for cheating on the fema security test to bso internal affairs, bob Norman, the New Times , Bill Gelin and anything else that will listen. This was wrong in many many ways. We are tired of bso bailiffs cheating and doing as they damn well please in this courthouse.

The only thing whiny does is look for the cheapest buffet in town. And sit back and enjoy having no caseload. What does his JA do ? Well we know that she never answers the phone cause she’s either never there or if she is she just doesn’t feel like being bothered by doing anything and why does she get to park in the east garage. And the bailiff, bless his little heart, he sometimes does the JAs job if he’s tired of watching movies. All in a day’s work or if you’re the Chief Judge and staff all in an easy day DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

  81. 0

    0

All of us that work at the courthouse are disgusted and tired of the judges and the bailiffs doing nothing all day and acting like they own the courthouse while the rest of us are treated and looked down upon by these morons like we are third rate employees who should kiss the ground that they walk on. They are disgusting individuals every single one of them. And to the bailiffs get this thru your heads…. We all think that every one of you need to just go away. Go back to New York, your in your seventies and eighties walking around like your half dead, sleeping in courtrooms , cheating on tests, do all of us AND yourselves a favor to retire. You clog up the hallways and courtrooms barely able to move out of your own way. All of you useless bailiffs please go away. Quickly.

  82. 0

    0

I give kudos to supervisor Pliaconas and the rest of the bailiffs for cheating on the security test and getting away with it. They are smart in cheating on a test that affects all of us at the courthouse. I feel extremely safe and secure when I have 5 or 6 bailiffs around me telling stories about how when they were NYPDs finest 60 years ago they used to handle crime and how everything is done wrong in Florida. I certainly feel safe with them around especially when you figure that their average age is 80 years old. Don’t you feel better and safer when they are hanging out near you gossiping, or sleeping in the courtroom. And the safest place in the courthouse by far is the cafeteria on the 3rd floor which apparently they have designated as a bailiff sub station just like the old days.

  83. 0

Responding to the prior post of flushing the courthouse. That’s a fantastic idea but remember that the bailiffs are the ultimate turds and they will remain in the courthouse for a long time as they are most certainly the smelliest, laziest, most corrupt unprofessional and incompetent ultimate floaters that are going to be left behind after the big flush. So get used to enjoying having these turds around.

  85. 0

Don’t be jealous of Betsy Benson. She’s only trying to leave the PDs office like the rest of you. And what’s wrong with her wanting to join the other elite judges and wiggle her way into a spot at the public feed trough with the rest of the broward county courthouse pigs feeding off of our taxpayers money as they do as little as possible to earn it. Will Betsy Benson have to work til at least 1 pm Monday thru Wednesday with Thursday and Friday off like the rest of the chosen few kings and queens.

Stop complaining. There’s no money to pay a judicial wage that could come close to attracting top legal talent to the bench. Florida gets what it pays for.

    1. 0

      0

I don’t feel sorry for them. They should work a full day and make themselves available to help out if they don’t have anything left with their assigned caseload. Chump change or not everyone is expected to work a full day for any given wage. Ask the man at 7-11 behind the counter. He’ll say so. It’s his tax payments funding judicial pay to top it off. Ask the secretary in the Courthouse earning 25,000 a year. They’ll say the same thing.

Bso should not encourage or condone the bailiffs at the courthouse cheating and being given answers to a security test by a bailiff supervisor. This is unacceptable and a violation of the trust, honesty and integrity of the supervisor in particular and the bailiffs as a whole. The supervisor supplied the bailiffs with the correct answers to the test and signed off on every single bailiff as having taken and passed the test and giving each of them their certificates for successfully passing the test and being trained in courthouse security and emergency situations and how to handle them. The supervisor committed fraud and lied about the test results and falsified documents and records connected to and concerning the test. The supervisor has lied to everyone that works in this courthouse and thinks that the bailiffs legitimately took the test and are trained in courthouse safety and emergency situations and procedures. The supervisors credibility is an absolute farce and nonexistent. What else has this supervisor lied about, falsified, covered up or cheated on just to get by and not have to do to get her job done. She is a shining example of why we have the problems and distrust and disdain for the bailiffs as a whole. The entire courthouse is aware of them cheating on the test and are waiting to see what is going to be done. This is a very important problem with the rest of us that have to work here everyday and have to rely on the bailiffs for security, emergencies and evacuation of the courthouse in an emergency situation. And then we find out that they cheated on a Fema security test. This is really unacceptable. Something has to be done. This has to be made public so that the taxpayers that enter this courthouse every day know what to expect n case of an emergency in this place.

What are you talking about not enough money to become a judge ?? Where else can you get a part-time job that pays $150,000 a year, unlimited vacation and days off, great health care and a great retirement for life. No money ? Who are you kidding ? Where do I sign up to be a broward county judge ?

  89. 0

In the times that we are living in where every place is a potential target of nuts and mass shootings the last thing that we need is a dumbass bailiff supervisor making her subordinates actually cheat on a security test. WTF. Is this supervisor for real. Great supervision skills. I’ll just have my people cheat on the test. Easier and less work for me. Just great.

  90. 0

    0

Is court administration aware of what is going on with the bso supervisor and the bailiffs cheating on a security test. Court administration needs to be aware and also address this serious issue. We all work here and deserve to at least feel secure with competent security trained personnel of which the bailiffs are definitely,NOT.

  91. 0

    0

Realistically how can the bailiffs respect or trust a supervisor who has them actually cheat on a security test. How can anyone trust or respect that supervisor or the bailiffs. The have shown and proven what they will do to to be dishonest and untrustworthy. Kathleen Pugh needs to address this with the Chief Judge and BSO. Security at this courthouse is all smoke and mirrors and the bailiffs are a prime example.

  92. 0

    0

I bet that she most likely cheated on her test to be able to become a supervisor. Ain’t saying a whole lot about her character honesty or supervision skills.

  93. 0

    0

The bailiffs stand United. They will deny cheating on the test. That is until internal affairs starts questioning each of them. Then all of them will have soiled depends pampers and start singing like little birds about how their supervisor made them do it. Wawawa. And the ones that act like they are the tough guys will be singing the loudest. Guaranteed.

  94. 0

    0

The bailiffs supervisor has created an atmosphere and environment where it is acceptable for them to cheat on tests, lie and falsify paperwork and documents and to the supervisor this is considered the norm.

  95. 0

    0

I have been reading the numerous posts about the bailiffs cheating on tests. This is all a fact and true. Several bailiffs have been talking about this test situation now for weeks. Apparently they all had to take a fema security test by the end of May and pass it in order to receive a fema certificate certifying them in courthouse security and emergency situations management for the new courthouse, a federal grant would then be awarded to BSO. The bailiffs supervisor ensured that every single bailiff took the test AND passed it with her assistance by her giving them the answers to every single question. Here lies the problem. The bailiffs are not legally certified in the courthouse security and emergency situations management response that they all recieved fraudulent certification for. If anyone has doubts about this being factual ask Kathleen Pugh, the chief judge or BSO internal affairs to question the bailiffs concerning this matter and question the supervisor involved with this and you will see that this is all true. Everyone in this courthouse has known about this for weeks and is very concerned about the impact on security at the courthouse right now and at the new courthouse..

  96. 0

    0

So in other words what you are saying is that every single fema certificate that every bailiff got for taking the test was attained under false and fraudulent action by them and their supervisor. You can always count on the bailiffs to come through when it counts the most. A security test for the courthouse. Wonderful security we have.

  97. 0

    0

Three ring circus ? That’s really funny. We here that under the tutelage and guidance from their supervisor that the bailiffs have been promoted from court jesters to circus clowns, but no raises will be given. To all I say this….sit back with your soda and popcorn and enjoy the greatest show on earth. Or at least broward county.

  98. 0

The whole country is watching the mass shootings in Orlando and here in broward county courthouse we have all the bailiffs actually CHEATING on a courthouse security test. This is not comforting at all to say the least. What the hell are these idiots doing cheating on a security test. They are putting every single one of us that works in this courthouse at risk and the office of court administration or the Chief Judge or BSO WILL NOT ADDRESS THIS TOTAL BREAKDOWN IN SECURITY.

  99. 0

    0

I agree. At a time when security is the number one priority everywhere in this country we don’t need to drop our guard or have ill trained bailiffs who cheated on security test just because they are too lazy to actually take the test. I wouldn’t count on this bunch of misguided misfits for any type of security or assistance during an emergency. They would probably trample the rest of us trying to be the first out of the courthouse and harms way.

The Orlando shooter was a G4S security armed security guard who worked at a courthouse. The bailiffs have all cheated on a federal security test at the direction and assistance of their supervisor who gave them the answers. This is just the kind of employees we wall need working in the courthouse when security is supposed to be at its best. No best security at this courthouse with G4S and bailiffs certified in emergency situations who have cheated on the test. This needs to be addressed by court administration and the Chief Judge. Everyone’s safety in this courthouse is a major concern.

  105. 0

Get rid of all Of the bailiffs and supervisors that cheated on the security test for starters and put real cops in the courthouse. Useless poor excuses for bailiffs and security personnel.

Breaking News. Two judges at South Satellite Courthouse have decided that they are so stressed out that they can ONLY work 4 days a week and must take every Friday off and naturally their bailiffs cover for them saying that they are in a meeting when asked where their judges are at. But let’s not forget fellow taxpayers that the Chief Judge keeps whining and crying about how overworked they all are and how broward county desperately needs MORE JUDGES to be able to better serve the public. The judges are after all public servants and want more judges so that they can be more efficient. HEY HOW ABOUT DOING YOUR DAMN JOBS AND WORK 5 days a week 8 hours a day like the rest of us and we wouldn’t need to pay for ANYMORE PUBLIC SERVANTS. QUIT TELLING YOUR BAILIFFS TO COVER FOR YOU AND DO YOUR JOBS. And by the way if the judges at South Satellite are off on Fridays, what the hell are the bailiffs doing all day ?

Are our professionally trained and certified in emergency situation bailiffs trained in safe evacuation plans and procedures for getting people out of the courthouse safely and quickly in an emergency situation ?

One third of the office has quit and more rumored to be leaving. The complaint is supervisors carrying no cases while those cases being reassigned because of the mass exodus continue to fall on the backs of those of us remaining with little remuneration being offered. The emergency compensation raises were too little and too late, the biggest complaint of supervisors not carrying any cases not being adequately addressed
.The common line about the exodus being cyclical is beginning to fall on deaf ears as more of us realize the center can not continue to hold. Something has to give or more of us are going to leave. Howard continues to ignore the problem like it doesn’t exist. This is exacerbating the problem while supervisors bury their heads in the sand if they come in at all judging by their empty assigned parking spots, hoping it will go away. It is not going away. Meanwhile the word has gotten out to newby law school grads who don’t fill the widening gap of those leaving.
Trying to focus the big problem on something else isn’t going to work either. It’s time to face the facts and do something to correct the inequity of case assignments, chief among them being supervisors not carrying any caseloads to help alleviate those of us who are in the trenches. Making supervisors work a full day would help for starters because they are nowhere to be found in the afternoons.

Don’t worry we were all trained on how to be the first ones to run out of the courthouse, just make sure that you don’t get in our way cause we’ll step and run right over you. And we didn’t have to cheat on some stupid security test for that.

Al was a terrific to work for, his motto was go to trial. He paid tax free bonuses for the those that had the most trials. The supervisors don’t micromanage. It’s crap now. Supervisors that don’t do anything ( NO CASES – THATS ZERO CASES). And a PD that’s so busy doing his Help Myself Howard crap that he doesn’t even care how the office is being mismanaged. Attorneys are leaving at an unprecedented rate because we can’t take it anymore and they come and go anytime they want and aren’t of help to any of us except to create problems. It had to have been better back then.

  114. 0

    0

Yes it’s absolutely true that everyone of them with the exception of one who refused to cheat. They all cheated with the help of a supervisor who gave them all of the answers. They are too corrupt and lazy to take a test and be honest about it.

  115. 0

    0

You’ve got that right. The pd’s office is a train wreck! It’s gotten worse and worse. That’s why I left and went to OCCRC where the pay is much better and you don’t have all the do nothing supervisors crawling up your back to try to make it look like they’re doing something. Finkelstein doesn’t even know and doesn’t care what’s happening there. My advice is get out while you can. I couldn’t even pay my student loans and nobody cared. I’ve got friends that worked there for less than two years and they left too. It’s simply not worth slave wages for all the work you do while the supervisors make big money for doing absolutely nothing.

This coming Thursday June 16th at 10 am there will be a 3hour courthouse security training class being given by court bailiff supervisor Valerie Pliaconas. After the class a test will be given and each member attending will receive a certificate upon passing the test. Any chance of getting a certificate for the security training class on Thursday without actually attending the class. I heard that the supervisor giving the class is pretty flexible with the test answers and handing out the certificates. She can just go ahead and mail me mine, I’ll skip the class.

To all of the naysayers, STOP badmouthing our supervisor. She looks out for us, nurtures us, guide’s us in the right direction and most importantly she gives us the answers to all the training test so we can pass and get our certificates to show the rest of you how smart we all are. She’s the absolute best supervisor the bailiffs have ever had. So stop badmouthing her.
