WHERE’S PATTI HENNING?

It’s been forty-five days since Patti Henning, a judge for roughly forty years, was supposed to start her new assignment in the criminal division on Tuesday, January 17th of this year.

She has yet to appear after being moved from the civil division, with other judges covering her dockets since that time.

It’s gotten so bad a senior judge has also been imported for weeks at a time, at great cost to the taxpaying public.

None of the pinch-hitting judges seem to know when or if Henning is coming back, or the exact reason for her absence, based on open court statements offered either sua sponte, or in response to curious and bemused lawyers’ questions. Judicial frustration is palpable, as people have much better things to do than cover dockets that aren’t theirs.

Since the 17th Circuit’s damaging proclivity for a serious lack of transparency in matters of great public importance seems to be at play yet again, the following emails were sent earlier today:

To Court Administrator Joe D’Amico at 8:27 AM:

(I)s (Henning) on medical leave?  A leave of absence?  When is she scheduled to return?

To Joe D’Amico at 1:04 PM:

I haven’t heard back from you, or (Henning). I emailed her too.

Is this a medical issue?

To Patti Henning and her JA at 12:19 PM:

I understand you are on medical leave, and am writing today to ask when you may be returning.

I have emailed Court Administration with no response yet, so I figured I would ask you directly, particularly since other judges in the criminal division don’t seem to know either

Unfortunately, none of the emails have been returned up to this point in time, leaving nothing but growing concern for Patti’s health, and the attendant coverage costs of backed up case counts and taxpayer dollars being passed on to the residents of Broward County.

Let’s hope Patti is ok and will be back at work soon. But in the meantime, Jack Tuter needs to publicly address and remedy what is already an unworkable situation if Henning will be out much longer …

GET WELL SOON!

COMING SOON JAABWALK!

Guys in my high school used to cut out for months at a time. It was no big deal.

She’s a holdover from the time the scumbags from Hollywood ruled the roost.
If Henning can’t drag her butt to work, she needs to bite the big one and get on with assisted living and go the way of the rest of the Hollywood gang and bust out. She’s like the rest of them and certainly has sucked at the public trough long enough for the mediocre talent she’s had to offer.

Time to pack it in Patti. If you can’t make the grade, it’s about time you trot off down the road.

She must be suffering. Otherwise Judge could come in and clear the morning calendar in an hour and leave for the day. Like lots of them do.

The sooner this entitled bunch of boobs realize they have to come to work like everybody else, the better. This has happened several times before where they have been seemingly bestowed the right to stay home in their pajamas and do nothing for the exorbitant amount of money they are paid with no excuse given about their absenteeism.
Don’t look to this joke of a chief judge Tuter to hold them answerable. His schedule is like an empty book as well. It’s not exactly uncommon for judges in Broward to do next to nothing anyway, but the idea they can keep it secret for long is ridiculous.

It took 3 DUI convictions to get Chris Roberts off the bench, but it finally did.

And he never stopped burping after that all the judges took care of him. Burp and a cig. Chris was good at his game

How about a records request for emails to her from Court Admin and her personnel file 🤔

I’m hearing conflicting things. First it was shoulder surgery that she informed tuter of on the day she was supposed to start in criminal. Everyone speculated she was quitting, but she obviously hasn’t yet. When tuter asked her to retire (before the move to criminal), she told some people she would never give her seat up to this governor. Which is heartening. But honestly now it seems like she’s going to take all the paid leave she can take and then retire? Does anyone know what’s going on? Or if, at the very least, we can get an advance list of what judge is covering on what week so we can plan our motions accordingly?? (Only half kidding about that last part).

Because the civil guys didn’t like how she was handling things and tuter is nothing if not a gopher for the civil guys. So he THREATENED her. Retire or they’ll do a jqc. And she said let them try. And of course there’s no jqc. So he moved her.

Name something else after him. What kind of a person does that when tbey didn’t donate all the money for a building or something.

Generally speaking, persons that couldn’t make a go of it in the private sector where it’s competitive and merit based for recognition and rewards (ie visible success and money, not plaques and dime store trophies). Small town politics is the perfect place for them.

How would you like being reassigned to criminal ? Pretty insulting if you ask me. Although she’s getting pretty long in the tooth. It’s like an addict being told you have to make a switch to cold turkey or you’re getting flushed. Sure wouldn’t constitute much of a loss to this circuit of clowns.

Judges are supposed to be reassigned periodically. They’re bureaucrats. They go where they’re told. If they don’t like it they can get a job without a government paying them.

Accountability come to call. Just where is Judge Henning and why has she been allowed to literally disappear from her duties as a judge in Broward County without so much as an explanation from Chief Judge Tuter for over a month ?

Judge Tuter’s many innovations include letting Judges do whatever the hell they want so long as it’s not in the Civil Division

If Henning was more interested in time off for shoulder surgery or whatever then why did she run again. That was a dumbb move to make the retirement age from 70 to 75. I think it encourages slacking.

They won’t let go of these cushy jobs until the bottom drops out. Pretty pathetic if you ask me. How many times have we seen judges here in Broward who suffer from this syndrome even when their health is in question ?

    WHERE IS JUDGE HENNING
WHY HAS SHE BEEN MISSING FROM HER DUTIES ON THE BENCH
WHY HAS NO EXPLANATION BEEN GIVEN BY TUTER FOR HER ABSENCE
    WHO IS HANDLING HER SCHEDULE
JUST WHAT KIND OF CIRCUS IS TUTER RUNNING

I heard it referred to as the Tooty Room instead of Romper Room. Between him n the wonderful clerk the entire system needs a flushing.
