WHERE’S WEINSTEIN?

“It’s the most horrible feeling. You’re helpless … At that moment I lost all my faith in the judicial system.”Sylvia Rios, mother of Dasyl Rios, to CBS Channel 4.

As the disturbing video shot Monday morning makes its way around the country and the world, people are once again waiting for chief judge Peter Weinstein to publicly address the ongoing problems plaguing the 17th Judicial Circuit …

Gelin, you forgot to mention the defense lawyer getting arrested for DUI in Hollywood and ASA masterbating on a webcam video ?

Meanwhile as citizens with obvious mental problems are being dragged through the courthouse halls, we’ve got Broward judges who were caught putting citizens at risk of their lives while driving drunk or drugged still sitting on the bench in judgement of others ! I ask u : what is wrong with the courthouse scene in Broward where you’ve got things like this going on, and what is Chief Judge Weinstein doing about it besides running defense for rotten judges who are apparently allowed to get away with anything they want! Just another very sad day for the Broward Judicial Junkies that are paid by tax dollars to run a regular Three Ring Circuis with no consequences attached to their actions !

It’s run by lawyers, judges, dirty cops and criminally negligent state attorney that should have been imprisoned decades ago. Any investigation will probably reveal no wrongdoing because it was “within [some] policy guidelines.” When it is done enough, it will become SOP. what actually goes on, on the “inside” is far worse and the real “offense” in the eyes of police is “getting caught in the act.”

Look no further. Celebrating his third term as cj as he scopes out where to have lunch before heading home. Work is the worst four letter word to most Broward judges. Just check out all the empty courtrooms.

It’s easy for the world to say that his actions were horrible, but for those that are in field know you can’t just say “please get up”. There will be times were they have to use force to regain control of the situation so others don’t get hurt. I challenge each and every one of you to spend a day or two in their shoes and you’ll see its no walk in the park.

Where as I see you r point – you were not present in the court room. Dragging her by her shackled ankles hardly constitutes using “force.” I challenge YOU to look at all the details of this case before you make an assumption. There were 50 + witnesses (lawyers and judges included) who all stated that there was absolutely no need for “excessive force.” I suppose it was acceptable to hose down African Americans with a firehouse when they were told to “Please move” during the civil rights movement? I also suspect is was acceptable to discriminate against same sex marriage also? Wake up – we are in 2015 and have a corrupt judicial system. I believe there are some good people, however, the truth is that they are hard to see when you have barbaric officers like DEPUTY CHRISTOPHER JOHNSON. Sincerely, a woman very well connected and educated. Good day to you! Best wishes that your ignorance gets cured.

Just what it’s all about in Broward Courts from drugged up judges to court bailiffs that behave like animals ! This place really is a mess and nobody cares about it so why should things change ?

As to dragging the woman on the floor, all I can say that is not proper police procedure under ANY circumstances.
As to the silence of the Chief Judge, disgraceful to say the least.

After dragging the mentally ill around its always fun to tip a few paraplegics out of their wheelchairs or hang kick me signs on blind guys. Passes the time in the jail that’s for sure.

Weinstein didn’t sign up for the ugly part of the chief judge’s job. Just the pomp, free meals, no docket, and cronyism.

Where’s Weinstein? Duh. He’s at Light Bulbs Unlimited picking out a chandelier for his new Chambers. Where else would he be during a crisis?

I am a veteran with detentions experience looking for employment. I have what is needed to fit in with the Broward Jail. I have all the equipment including an extra long and durable garden hose and an extra car battery so BSO won’t need to spend extra if they hire me. Let me know. I prefer the graveyard shift.

Hey you jerkie at 436 nothing is more boring then the inability to be original. As to the jerking off asa, who cares, or maybe you’re jealous because your internet girlfriends won’t let you put it between your thumb and forefinger when you have your skype dates.

What’s the big whoop. Isn’t this why people go to work for law enforcement in the first place? It’s only news because it was caught on 1’s and 0’s.

Broward County Judiciary is the biggest, baddest joke in the entire state. What’s it going to take to clean up this cesspool of corruption?

    1. The old timers need to retire
    2. The Satellite need to be reduced to 1-2 judges at most
    3. A group called Citizens for a better Juduciary spending big bucks to put highly qualified people on the bench
    4. Those in the majority need to understand there time is up.

Gelin, I’ll all for what you’ve done. Be fore warned Rebecca Brock (ON FLORIDA BAR PANEL) rumor is in last 24 hours she plans to bring you before the Florida Bar. Gelin Rebecca I grew up with, her father Newmen Brock was the most corrupt judge Seminole Couty Florida has even seen. Rebecca is just as corrupt as Newmen. If Rebecca moves against you I and other PB lawyers, cpas, & eas will support you. Gelin I as a juror just had my rights via F.S. 40.013 (6) & F.S. 913.03 (03) & FLA J.A. 2.256. I have a Writ at 4th DCA for violation of F.S. 839.16 against me as a juror at PB Juror Program for JUROR drawing with me. I’m mounting legal questions to whole Broward & PB Jury Program and if you saw the videos I have Gelin it is time we all come together to show the corruption even at Florida Bar & JQC! Heed what I’m saying about Rebecca and her father they are corrupt cockroaches!

@Gelin, as to you wanting Weinstein to comment on BSO. Gelin PB Judge Mark Eissy did not grant a VERBAL notice of appeal to cynthia imperato, (EMPHASIS ADDED) never ever happened for anyone else before PB Judge Mark Eissy, because Eissy wanted get on Weinstein’s bad side for no reason!Mark Eissy grant that one and only verbal notice of appeal to keep the corruption going! Mark Eissy, I’ve got 100% indisputable proof that he has been helping his childhood friend PBSO Milton Jacobs, with crimes PBSO Milton Jacobs and (now fired) PBSO Yural Arama committed with sexual battery on a women. @ Gelin You really think Weinstein cares?? Not when you have other judges like Mark Eissy that grant special treatment to cynthia imperato that which has never happened for anyone else beside cynthia imperato. Gelin as said I’m holding video for federal case against PBSO of PBSO threatening to unlawfully shot people, and Mark Eissy is apart of that federal case against PBSO. As JOHN HANCOCK said when the corrupt like Weinstein, Eissy, know justice is coming they make up lies to protect each-other.

Broward Court system and its political grime gang have had this reputation for years yet nothing is ever done to clean it up because there is no real oversight. The oversight committees are just as corrupt politically and they’re all in bed together. Broward judges getting political handouts ( political campaign contributions) and former judges working for that sleazbag Rothstein and company are ignored by the authorities as if it was never going on and judges sitting who are charged with DUI and possession of Dope like former Judge Korda are just ignored and allowed to suck at the public trough until they’ve had their fill all while nothing is done to discourage these public outrages.
And then u are shocked by videos of citizens with mental problems being dragged with their feet shackled down the hall of the courthouse screaming for help by Broward court deputies?
These sorts of actions from Broward judges being charged with DUIs and worse with no consequences attached flow downhill and infect the entire courthouse environment. So why u are surprised at what’s going on in the Broward Courthouse is misplaced.
Don’t look for any leadership from the chief judge or anybody else because it’s a free for all with those sucking the hardest at the public trough doing the least to fix anything. They want it the way it is. It’s easier to rip off the public when there’s confusion. It will take a massive effort by the FBI or some outside agency to clean up the corrupt political machine that is the Broward Courthouse and its minions and political hacks and I don’t ever see that happening.

I see what you are saying. However Gelin along with other people with Law Degrees are challenging judges rules all the time. I kid you not when I tell you I as a juror (someone with law degree) plan to sue the crap out of PBC Jury Program for juror violations with me that caused financial damage and even cost the 4th DCA time & money because Judge Jeffrey Colbath against F.S. 839.16 juror drew with me. Florida JQC unlawfully attempted to cover up Judge Jeffrey Colbath against F.S. 839.16 criminal act, and you better believe lawyers at American Bar Association are taking what I’ve sent them and will have problem with JQC. And I know of several other jurors that had their F.S. 913.03 (6) & F.S. 40.013 (3) and plan to sue just as me. I’ve even begun speaking to FLA House & Senate Members to show how bad PB & Broward Judges are waste public funds with jurors that do not want to serve applying there right via F.S. 913.03 (6) & F.S. 40.013 (3) only to be UNLAWFULLY threaten by Judge & State Attorney on Contempt of Court. SIR I’ve live in SFLA all my life. My family been here since 1890s! EVERY ONE I GREW UP with is going around telling friends and family to stop serving in jury’s. MAJOR LEGAL PROBLEMS and the creditability of our court system is in quest with EVERYONE I’ve ever known. Broward SA & PB SA case lose is growing by day! You to so you show exemption are not required by law to serve in a corrupt court process. LAW NEEDS TO CHANGE to tell jurors they are no ACTUAL REQUIRED TO SERVE JURY DUTY. AS SAID everyone I know is spreading word against courts by jury program, and the jury program is under full legal question right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard she got out of jail and they’re now dragging her down Sunrise over to the Turnpike and then pulling her to the state hospital. Hopefully they stay out of the left lane because slower moving traffic is supposed to keep right.

The only hope Broward County court system has is if the media step up and do their jobs exposing the corruption among the rank and file of Broward Judges, ect. Don’t count on the system to police itself. This is Broward County where they take care of themselves to societies’ detrement. They are only in it for the ride !!! And u can’t count on the scum sentinel to report the misdeeds of judges or anybody that only feeds them their side of the story that has nothing to do with much aside from being self serving !

How can you question the journalistic integrity of the Sun-Sentinel’s staff reporters? Just look at the great piece of investigative journalism that Linda Trischitta authored concerning the BSO Crime Lab scandal. LOL. She really probed hard (that’s what she said). After all, she honed her craft to perfection at People magazine before joining the ranks of the Fourth Estate.

So it’s finally come to this. It’s been a long time coming and quite frankly I’m surprised it took as long as it has to show just how bad things are in Broward. Dragging people around on the floor is just another gross example of how completely out of control the Broward courthouse has become. You’re not even safe to walk into that place and still no adequate explanation from the Chief Judge of this circuit as to 3 Broward judges arrested for DUIs or why they are still sitting on the bench other than lame excuses as to why and how this is not considered a systemic problem with regard to judges or how in the world anyone can have any faith or confidence in Broward’s Judiciary. The video of that woman in chains at her ankles being dragged across the floor while crying for help has left an indelible imprint on my mind. So has my experience with the Broward courthouse.

I hope the national press picks up on just how bad things are here because it’s a total disgrace.

U think this is an anomaly in Broward ? U must be new to the Broward courthouse scene ! Lol. The only ones that get away with anything are the judges here. Don’t u read the newspaper or watch the evening news ?

Most of the court deputies are great – put up with lots of crap from the eye in the ceiling, judges, the public and us. But for the few, the time has come for sensitivity/diversity training and attitude adjustment. And why hasn’t anything been done about the squatting in the interview rooms by the front door? Why are we looking for any spot to have privileged conversations with our clients? You either beg for the room to be unlocked with no success or hang out by the nonexistent pay phones? Thats gotta stop….

  28. 0

Just another example of how the us against them (the public) continues to hold sway over the legal system in Broward where the biggest clowns wear black and think they are untouchable because there is a complete lack of leadership from the chief judge all the way down.
This example caught on video is one of the worst I’ve seen demonstrating the complete lack of compassion imaginable. All the deputies involved should be fired and the chief should issue a statement addressing the most recent list of drunk Broward judges and an explanation as why thery are still sitting as judges in a county where these out of control sitituations within the legal system have become the norm rather than an anomaly as he’s continually professed.

@Gelin, I know where Florida Bar corruption is at. I’ve got your back don’t worry. YOU KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Florida bar creditability is going to be raised in my Writ to FLA SUPREME COURT filing.

GELIN BSO has been using Department of Defense Stingray equipment on you, which is a fake cell tower me and my military friends are experts in, which BSO is using outside of F.S. 934 & 933. My high school friend I went into military with actual designed the stingray unit.
GELIN I high suggest you get with Broward Public Defender because he has resources to get you information on how BSO uses the stingray. Lastly Gelin, I’m the guy trying to get the AGENCY to take down Pakistan Lawyers Association in NORTH COUNTRY, which lawyers are training those crap-heads in NORTH Pak how to use laws against us. NOT START TIME I’VE LEGALLY GONE AFTER BAD JUDGES or LAWYERS!

What’s this dude taking ? Gives me a headache reading his tripe. Broward judges are interested in one thing: sucking at the trough to retirement and doing as little as possible until then. Typical Broward stuff. The chief judge personifies this attitude. He’ll protect all the bad ones just to stay where he is. Corruption has been a big problem among Broward judges a long time. Look at how many judges who lost elections wound up working for Rothstein. Look at how many Broward judges that accepted campaign contributions from Rothstein and his slimy clan of scamsters and knew the whole time the guy had no cases and was running a ponzy scheme and were actually covering for him ! Don’t look to many Broward judges for integrity because they are only looking for a free lunch ! That’s Broward for u. And the Feds if they really wanted to could have a field day with what goes on around here.

Same routine as when they gave a judgeship to Stacy Ross with little experience compared to other applicants that had over 30 years in and would have made much better judges. And look what that’s brought. Sleazy politics rule at all levels in Broward. It’s no secret and yet nothing is ever done about it. U grease my palm and I’ll grease yours. Greasy place, this Broward !

I just saw that it was Gelin who filmed the footage of this woman being dragged down the hallway.

What does it take for criminal defense associations around this county (and the state, for that matter) to finally recognize Bill’s own, individual efforts to effect change in Broward? Who the fuck else would even take the time to pull out their phones to film her being dragged, let alone make a blog to show what happened? Nobody’s asking for a stupid BACDL brown nose award, but to those who criticize while standing off in the shadows – even YOU have to admit that Bill’s efforts have probably helped your practice.

This whole blog experiment, and things like taking video of this woman’s ordeal – they aren’t done for some financial gain, yet Bill is still trying to run a business AND raise a family, AND be a husband (yet people still bitch if there aren’t constant updates?)

It is no coincidence that contested elections against sitting judges (something which, I hear, had only been tried like once during the previous 25-30 years) started gaining momentum right around when this blog started to get noticed.

This JAAB group got together, not for a blog ( that was an idea of Craig’s later on ), but originally to get public records requests on judge’s emails on court appointments (wanting to learn the reasons typed in by judges to explain why so-and-so should get the case). The blog would have faded away, but for Bill’s creative ways of using it as a tool for change. I think we owe some bit of gratitude for that.

Doesn’t the court have a duty under the Americans with Disabilities Act to accommodate a person with a legitimate mental illness? At least she lived.

See, Valrico man dies after collapsing in court, story below.

Part of the “stress” of foreclosure court is knowing the judge is often just a shill for the bank to help deprive the homeowner of rights, and his home. The unrepresented litigant in the typical Florida court proceeding is like a piñata for the judge, simply an object to beat on until he or she breaks.

TAMPA — A 67-year-old Valrico man died Tuesday morning after collapsing in a Hillsborough courtroom during a hearing on the pending foreclosure of his home.

    http://www.tampabay.com/news/courts/valrico-man-dies-after-collapsing-in-court/2219866

Medical calls in court are common, said Maj. Jim Livingston, with the sheriff’s court operations division. But in the nearly six years Livingston has worked at the court, he doesn’t remember a death.

“Obviously, there’s a lot of stress here,” he said. “It’s not uncommon to have EMS here a couple of times a week, sometimes a couple of times a day.”

There are issues of Broward judges committing felonies continued by the 4th DCA that Gelin knows about, but refuses to attack or expose despite his allege “courage” or “professional responsibilities” as a lawyer to report criminal misconduct regarding some of the same players. Too bad, Bill–I guess even you “integrity” only goes so far and assisting in these cover-ups that include many more traif in the cesspool scares even you.
