BAILEY HOLDS FIRM

Tim Bailey did indeed clarify his ruling, just a few minutes ago.

Larry Lamar Smith will now not be permitted to attend a viewing on Friday evening, but he will be out of jail for the funeral Saturday.

The alleged victim’s mother objected in court this morning, citing the safety of her other children, after which Bailey made his final decision.

WPLG broke the story yesterday …

The stench is literally coming out both ends. I stood behind him in line the other day waiting to call up a case and the stench of swamp-ass was OVERWHELMING.

Did Judge Bailey order two electronic monitors just in case? Like on each leg?

            The funeral is in Miami.
Bailey was originally giving him a sleepover too.
Before the news story changed everything.

Boy Mr Sheriff he is getting real resistance from the cities he is under contract with. What is with these extreme increases in charges to the cities. I live in a city that contracts with BSO and if I see 2 squad cars in week on the streets that’s a lot. Where the hell is traffic enforcement no motorcycle cops anymore except for parades and funerals. Nobody and I mean Nobody drives the speed limit. It’s at least 15 mph over the posted limits. Everywhere.

Cruz pleaded guilty and they couldn’t get a death penalty sentence.
They should have just let him plea to same sentence he received as was proposed by little Howie.
What a waste of time emotional resources and the family members are the ones that suffered the most by sitting in that courtroom day after day and having to pay for parking etc. what a disgrace.
But the ASA got a life sentence.
That shows the waste of resources in the judiciary.

And teacher Stacy Lippel changed her testimony to fit the Official Narrative. They couldn’t even be honest in Who’s yard the patsy was taken down on. Like we don’t remember all that cool footage, in full metal garb.

I agree. Judge Bailey is a good guy. I just hope the D doesn’t cut the band. If an accused anyone let alone murderer escapes then the Judge will suffer.

          Exactly.
What does this Smith guy have to lose by cutting the GPS band?

          Charged w Murder, facing life.
          v.
          Cut the GPS and flee

If he is caught: still facing same life in FSP.

If not caught, he lives in hiding in MX

If I was an accused killer granted a furlough I’d disappear quicker than a Judge on a Friday afternoon!

Daddy’s funeral and a happy ending before and after. This is BS, the guy is a murderer and arrested 2 weeks before on a weapons and trespassing charges and i bet there are more. Did mommy come to court and say what a good boy he is… Bailey needs to retire, i heard the guy leaves early everyday probably needs to be in bed by 6.

What if he takes the monitor off and hides in a coffin that gets buried with an air tube and food that his friends prepared and then sneaks off three days later at night when they’ve stopped looking.

What if he lops his foot off right above the ankle leaving the device intact and not alerting and is driven clean away by friends who have medical equipment?

Ankle monitors should be required to be worn by all Broward judges to expose how many of them stay home in their pajamas most of the week instead of coming into work. The results would shock even the biggest skeptics.

How stupid, he doesn’t care. There is no law stating what hours a judge must be on the bench. Most of you bottom feeder lawyers know that and that’s why you would give your left nut to be a judge. Let’s not forget the steady paycheck, which you don’t have and the full benefit package.

        1. 17

          1

They like to call people who make it in private practice ‘bottom feeders’ because 95% of them who tried to make it in private bombed out to the point a judicial salary’s like hitting Lotto. The ones who are mean and bitter up there are either insecure and jealous of those who made it or insecure pricks who were former lifetime government workers who like to kick around other government workers who weren’t able to make it to the top of the government totem pole by greasing an appointment through relatives or butt kissing the old hags in the condos for votes like they did. Don’t get me wrong there’s plenty of thankful and actual public servant jurists who work hard and are pleasant but the AWOL ones and the needlessly difficult and mean ones are the ones that have the mental issues described above.

Some of them are “bombed out” and are to stupid to give up. What’s your choices when your old, broke and screwed up mentally?

The only lawyers doing very well are in lucrative firms. Private practice sucks, large overhead, no pension, no health insurance, no guarantee of clients or a steady income. I guess it depends on your definition of “very well” Living in an apartment complex with a view of a parking lot and the other buildings is not the American dream.

          1. 10

            1

Most private practice attorneys are narcissistic, and don’t have the ability to form long term relationships needed to work with other attorneys so they have to be on their own. It’s hysterical to read their reviews online. If it’s a fake review they wrote, they always remember the client. If they get a terrible review from a real client, they develop amnesia and don’t remember the person.

    Question????
When you file an inquiry to the county court administrator and the refer it to the chief judge should you expect a response? It’s been several weeks.
Is like a defense continuance, kick it down the road and maybe it will disappear or be forgotten?
Does anybody in that courthouse do their job?
    What a complete joke.
Maybe we should all go roller blading or skateboarding in the hallway as it’s a complete joke house maybe skatepark?
Do they charge admission for after hours skaters.
The day time skaters are the employees there all of them.

Don’t hold your breath for a response.
Joe D’Amico is one of the most corrupt people at the courthouse.
      He should be fired.

I guess its time for me to go back to work for daddy before I have to do anything as chief judge …

Judges must be fined or have their pay deducted when they flagrantly violate the law or when they persistently refuse to work.

Dennis Bailey was a blowhard who got just what was coming to him. He was never very long for the bench. First a government gopher in Satz office, then failed in private practice, then back to sucking at the public trough before he was voted out of the barn for good along with his butt buddy Tony Blow.

I’m very glad to hear this. I was surprised when he went in for the judgeship because he’s such a gifted advocate. It seemed odd he’d settle for something meretricious but I figured he made the choice for family purposes. His gift of advocacy is likely what made his judicial tenure admittedly bumpy but now that he’s back in action I’m very happy to hear as I say above that he’s being rewarded commensurate to his ability..

Tony Loe was fired by Harold Pryor along with Ted Daus, Andy Newman, and Tim Donnelly. Newman sued Pryor and won a settlement in court.

But the other men were good prosecutors! I’m not standing up for Loe at all. But Tim, Alex, Ted and Newman didn’t deserve the way they were treated by Pryor! karma is a bitch sometimes it takes a while to bite you in the Azz! Pryor will get his and we will be celebrating!

They didn’t dig deep enough into their pockets because they never thought Pryor could win. Not very smart for a bunch of old worthless political hacks with their paychecks at risk !

He didn’t get much money. That’s the problem. There’s no real deterrance. The mob modeled their methods on the government.

The two of them were the biggest phony baloney twerps to ever be employed by Satz.
When Pryor took over it wasn’t going to be long for either one of them before it was determined they had skated long enough.

What the hell is going on at the west courthouse does any assigned judge remain on the cases.
Every week it’s a different person hearing motions, signing orders etc. and ask the administrative judge what the hell is going on you get ignored.
