This is a stupid question. How would the agency be in business if the reporter took all of the money. Also the problem with electronic court reporting is that they regularly will not finish a transcript by any deadline and will tell you they are busy and cannot guarantee anything which means you can miss timelines to file such as a motion to recuse.

I thought that Patricia Judge Lashley was out of as General Counsel some time ago when Jack Tuter left. I’m curious about why she was able to sign off on this contract at the end of June 2025.

Whomever the lawyer was they got it handed to them by the opposing counsel because the rates are
      exorbitant.

Face the fact that the practice of criminal law is in the can. It’s always been a rigged game in Broward anyway.

What is going to be done about Odom? he just spent 30 minutes drafting an order from the bench, sounding out each word, out loud, one by one as he formulated them. an entire courtroom filled with lawyers waiting to call a case. after he sounded out each word and spelled big words phonetically, he then read over the order, stopping along the way to edit. this is embarrassing. Alspector does this too. but somehow no other judge who has been on the bench in the last 20 years has had to do this. draft the order from chambers if you must be so tedious. this is discourteous and amateur at best.

Tooty before he hit the road trashed Her. She’s done as far as any kind of county contract to provide reporting services.
