Spencer practicing 10.5 years, works for cole scott kissane (kinda like Regional conflict counsel of the insurance defense world – not the best lawyers out there) and well looks to be in her early teens. When will people learn lawyers with 10 years of “experience” will not make a good judge. She was an ASA before turning to the dark side of insurance defense. According to the Bar Brown has been practicing for for I guess about 26 years. There are alot of Chris Browns out there according to the bar. Some practicing even longer! Which one is it? At the end of the day there will be many other wannabes jumping in. Regardless…please pick experience over inexperience.

Does Brown still practice? I couldn’t find a website for him anywhere . . . I think some younger judges are a much welcomed changed to the bench (IMO). Does anyone know what Brown does? What is in experience in? Just curious

    Defending the death penalty

I disagree with your paper’s reasoning that the killer should receive a life sentence.

Mass murder and maiming are qualitatively different crimes from a single, double or triple killing. Nikolas Cruz reportedly admitted that he would have killed more people had his gun not jammed. I am conflicted on the death penalty, especially in such cases as that of Frank Lee Smith years ago.

His guilt in 1986 for raping and killing a young girl was a very close question, but once answered in the prosecution’s favor, the vote for a sentence of death was 12-0 once the jurors learned of Smith’s priors. DNA years later tied Eddie Lee Moseley to the murder and exonerated Smith, a two-time killer. But in a case as Cruz’s, arguments against the death penalty do not make sense.

It’s a guess as to whether all 12 jurors will vote for the death penalty, but to decide the question without a trial seems irresponsible, almost reflecting a lack of faith in our justice system. As Mike Satz asked, if we have a death penalty, when is it applicable if not in this case?

I would pay a special tax to have this case decided by a jury.

No one ever apologized about Frank Smith from the State. I reckon John’s newspaper statement is the first acknowledgement by anyone close to Mike.

How many cases is Pryor keeping the death penalty on though! Single and double victims still have death penalty.

That’s a myth. Russia was never promised that NATO wouldn’t expand. There was no agreement.

Ukraine was told that if they gave up their nukes this wouldn’t happen though. Oh well, can’t believe liars. Liars gonna lie.

Keep on spewing Russian propaganda though you epic communist.

Funny thing is they must’ve breathed a sigh of relief when the trial part pled thinking they were out of the woods.

Seems to me it would be easier to win against a disliked incumbent who has made enemies than a race where everyone is equally a nobody.

The games are beginning to get fun nonetheless.

Elon Musk is the first African American to own a large social media platform. He is one of my favorite African Americans and it’s sad to see so many people on the left attacking him during this Historic moment.
