I think its great as well as informative ! The next thing Tooty will impose is a hefty fine so he can commission another portrait of himself to be placed above the drinking fountain in the downstairs lobby. He’s become so pathetic in his attempts to draw attention to himself it might lead one to conclude he’s got a real problem ! Lol

Talk all you want about Bill Gelin. I’ve never seen anyone who advocates and cares more about his clients and shinning a light on the corruption that plaques this courthouse

The word is “plagues” not plaque, Mr. Dumas

But then I guess, for “all intensive purposes” you “could care less”

That judge with her pants down below her arse must have anticipated this heat wave.
I always thought that the summer allowed for business casual from years ago.
Why not wear shorts the keys allow it.
Just make sure the ding dongs don’t wear their pants below their arse.

I thought judge lynch got promoted to circuit then retired and and judge Spechler retired too who else wears that stuff

Is the Broward Courthouse the only Circuit that needs its idiot chief judge judge to issue an order relaxing the dress code when the county is experiencing a severe heat wave ?
Whatever happened to common sense around here, not to mention personal dignity ?

Oh poor court house people, they can’t drive their air condition car and carry in their jacket and tie into the air condition building and put it on. I wonder how all the poor people that have to work outside are surviving? Perhaps we should check with road crews, fire fighters and mail carriers, etc?

Of course it is. He even wrote it in his accent. This summer doesn’t feel any hotter than any other summer, but the chief judge had to issue an order this time because it is well known that Ledee will dress you down, ahem, if you aren’t wearing a suit and tie. But rather than make ledee feel singled out, Tuter had to issue an order. Before ledee, every judge just understood: it’s hot outside…these lawyers are running from court room to courtroom…and by the way, they are adults, let’s let them decide what’s appropriate for summer court appearances. Ledee is 5 foot nothing and would melt down, not from heat, but from not being able to exercise his control over accomplished professionals.

There’s no decorum in Broward Courts anyway including the way some of these bimbos dress. Some look like they should be cruising the streets instead of appearing in Court and sound almost as intelligent. Saw one the other day that looked like a low class hooker making her pitch for a few more greenbacks.
But what can you really expect with the way a lot of the judges set the example. The sound of wearing flip flops can’t be obscured by a robe when you’re getting off and on the bench. We’ve got a group of judges here in Broward that like to look like they’re going to the pool in the Dominican Republic rather than administering Justice.

Frank’s a good judge. So what if he believes in formality. He expects everyone to be prepared. For both sides. That’s not asking much. His bark is worse than his bite too. He doesn’t hurt the clients. Tuter’s order wasn’t for anyone in Crim. Crim isn’t a priority imho. It was probably the law firm types in Civil squawking. They’re used to getting what they want.

Frank Ledee is a Judge’s Judge. He is a model of proper judicial demeanor. He is more qualified and than any Judge I have appeared before in my 21 years as a defense attorney. I remember when he was a Miami-Dade ASA. As a prosecutor was always on point as to what the appropriate resolution was to a case and he was a fierce opponent. He always treated opposing counsel with respect. Broward lawyers need to learn that this is a court of law, a sacred place. Casual dress is an insult to the dignity and integrity of the institution. Your private clients deserve that you suit up show them you are worth the money they paid you. I don’t care how hot it is outside, cowboy/cowgirl up and be a lawyer.

I dunno. The insult part is a bit strong. I’d rather have Freddy H anyday. He may dress like an extra out of Saturday Night Fever, but who’s better? No one. Telling an artist like him how to dress is the real insult. The institution can handle it. It’s not made out of paper mache.

Let me get this straight. The theory is thus—the clients who wear shorts and tees and exposed underwear care what the lawyer wears? Seriously?

              1

Yeah ha cowboy. Sacred place. Come on. The most disgusting and and unsacred things occur in those rooms everyday not counting the judges chambers and private offices (orafices)
              Plus parking garages stairwells
Please sacred place what a joke.
Every time I go there I need to take shower after leaving because of the slime.

Judge Shutter was a good judge but ended up muttering Small Claims instructions, etc. after umpteen years of saying it over & over. Brian Kay instituted an informative VHS pre-court presentation on procedures – that was a good idea.

Brian Kay. Are you kidding me what a joke he was. Disrespectful in every regard. He should have been disbarred. What a mutt

If the military is at an all time low with recruiting then how about this idea. If you have school loans and want a government hand out to pay them, then for every 20 thousand you owe serve 2 years in the military. I bet you wouldn’t see many people in line for free money with that deal on the table.

    1. 2

      1

So that means Ruby Green would have to serve 17 yrs in the military (to pay back the $340,000 she keeps deferring)

      Nice

She keeps claiming a “financial hardship” even though she takes $70,000 a year AND took out a $40k car note

      1. 4

        2

        What a loser

Why can’t she at least try to pay back maybe $5-10k a year?

Is she that much of a deadbeat?

Sure, I saw her shouting out in a megaphone “no justice, no peace!”in 2020 when cities across the U.S. were burning, but she’s just stupid and didn’t see why burning down black-owned businesses wasn’t a good idea. Not her fault for being born stupid, but she should at least TRY to make a payment on the 340k, right?!

        1. 2

          3

Why? It’s all interest anyway. Maybe she didn’t have rich parents to pay for everything like you entitled fucks.

And how many millions of citizens served our country utilized the GI bill and better themselves and the communities they live in.
        So your point is?
It was a racial derived bill?
        It was a sexist bill?
        What’s your point?
A lot of the older Broward Bar and Judiciary were because of the GI Bill.
Maybe you should have served your country and taken advantage of that opportunity.
Instead you applied for student loans and now want forgiveness?
        What Chutzpah!
Look in Florida case the definition of Chutzpah.
        That’s you

The G I bill pays loans if you join the military or take classes once you’re in the Military. I’m saying instead of just handing out free money to pay school loans, make it available to serve in the military if you want the loans paid and base your time on the loan amount. If you don’t serve then the government makes you pay back the money. Open the program to men, women, gays, transgenders, and even those who don’t have a clue what they are. Just don’t expect a free ride off the tax payers backs.

But it’s ok to give a free ride and bail out banks, airlines, the car industry? You are an idiot
Those CEO’s should also serve right?

And you sound like one of the entitled fools with no sense of responsibility that expects to have money handed to them. Nothing is free pal just remember that.

Nellie 2.0 best get a prosecutor of color involved in the day to day, unlike the mistrial. Race is always an issue and playing the ” gang ” affiliation card only makes it more racial. Moreover, State was competent but lacked ” heart ” IMHO. If I’m Nellie, I’m straight with my multi- colored, super-competent ” dream team.” Failing to obtain a conviction in a double, execution -style homicide aint a good look for any prosecutors office.

Just let Nellie out on ror and hopefully street justice resolved the tax payers liability.
Tired of the drag on our society from people that can’t behave.

Since Lizzy got a formal reprimand and she does not have to appear before the court, the question is where are the mailing the Order?
Is it to daddy’s office or to the horsey farm in North Carolina?
Will it be mailed certified for her to sign receipt thereof?
Daddy you couldn’t protect from this one, I’m sorry.
Are the horseys feed and ready for me to ride them. It’s been a while since my stress has been released.

Hey Gelin, you have been dressing in court like there was a heat wave outside for years. Get a jacket, secure your tie, tuck in your shirt, and take a shower, you disheveled loser.

I look like that because I’m beat reporter and hard working attorney.
All work and play makes Bill a dull boy. Maybe smelly too!

Liz beat feet before the mallet came down. It was her decision. But I want all to know that it’s still all sunshine and rainbows in the 17th Judicial Circuit.
