Johnny Weekes filed an appearance on May 28th in a case pending before Stefanie Moon. Yesterday, he filed a motion to recuse based upon “pending Judicial Campaign,” after calling the judge’s office and being told to file appropriate paperwork. Today, despite JEAC Opinions 2011-08 and 84-12, Moon issued an order denying Weekes’ request for a new presiding judge, stating it was “legally insufficient.”

Moon in my opinion is incompetent as a Judge. She in my opinion is often wrong but will not admit her mistakes. She has no clue on various legal matters, and a non-judicial attitude to go along with it. The fact that she denied a recusal on a person running against her even if later she fixed her basic law 101 mistake demonstrates her poor decision making and lack of legal knowledge. Now she is in a position she will have to raise a boatload of money, after she alienated 90 percent of the criminal defense bar. Those who don’t study history are doomed to repeat it.
She’s gonna have to raise 100g’s cause she’s running against a proven Broward political powerhouse Weekes with bigtime name recognition.
