    The Ft. Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel visited Moe’s chambers Tuesday. Two pillows, a set of sheets and a comforter covered a couch. A couple of shirts lay strewn over one of the chairs. A TV rested on one table by the couch. Novels were stacked on another table. Nearby sat a small refrigerator. A laundry basket filled with clothes stood by the bathroom door. Shirts and trousers hung in an open closet.

      Lots of people live in the office after they get thrown out – beat the wife- she gets a restraining order – what’s a guy supposed to do? Rent a hotel room?

        Oh, wife beating. Yes, with restraining orders the accused is often ejected from the home and sent home. Pretty sure living OVERNIGHT in courthouse Chambers is not allowed, though.

      Broward judges really are a breed all their own ! A lot of judges used to live out of their chambers until they got caught. Moe put an end to the freebies for these schleps.
