WEDNESDAY NOTES

SAO update – Mickey Rocque, who has wanted to run for State Attorney for years but never did out of respect for Mike Satz, reports he is excited to run and serve the people of Broward County.

Paul Backman is not, as rumored, running for SAO, and is expected to officially file for Clerk of Courts soon.

Regina Faulk is rumored to be considering a run for her outgoing boss’s job.  This could be more than a rumor, however, as multiple texts and an email asking her to confirm or deny have not been returned as of posting …

Anyone else?  Stay tuned …

Six Degrees of 17C! – speaking of Faulk, she’s on the Grievance Committee that signed off on the subpoena asking for protected JAABLOG IP Addresses.  Today’s news of her potential future ambitions are coincidentally her second newsworthy appearance on the blog as of late, as she was also a witness on Brenda v. Coleman:

Since it’s a small Browardtown after all, it’s not surprising there’s another member of the GC whose firm, Cole, Scott & Kissane, was JAABLOG-worthy years back, during Gardinergate:

(From ANSWER BRIEF OF RESPONDENT, by Dave Bogenschutz and Jack Goldberger)

Lastly, the lawyer whose signature appears on the subpoena on behalf of the GC, Sean Collin, is no longer showing up as a listed member of 17C. We’ll be following up with the Bar tomorrow to see if he was termed out, or something else.

In any event, Collin’s firm, Lyons, Snyder, Collin, has been a financial contributor to Bobby Diaz’s reelection bids over the years, and we learned through a PRR that NSU grad Collin had once been assigned to Diaz’s division as a newbie ASA.  Diaz’s wife Dian Diaz is, of course, a witness on Brenda v. Blog.  And JAABLOG’s relationship with the judge named Diaz certainly doesn’t require much expounding around here …

There’s more, but for now …Thanks for playing 6 degrees of 17C!

Attention current and former Broward ASA’s – The original, legendary, Miami’s Rumpole, has thrown down the gauntlet.  He’s promised to publish all your comments disproving his opinion of Satz.  Here’s the link to support your leader!

Thank you TFB – the Bar has confirmed they will not be covering anything to do with Michelle Suskauer at this point in time, just as they previously indicated they won’t be informing the membership about their quest for JAABLOG’s IP Addresses.

That’s right, because “The Daily News Summary doesn’t include clips about pending litigation or pending disciplinary cases … (and) … The Florida Bar News also only reports on Bar cases that conclude with court-ordered discipline“, it will be up to blogs like JAABLOG that are read statewide by judges and lawyers alike to spread the news of what’s going on at the highest levels of a major government agency.

Interesting, isn’t it?  JAABLOG’s arguments concerning the need and importance of an unfettered and protected Fourth Estate have now been bolstered by the Bar’s very own policies concerning news blackouts when they’re sometimes the ones in an unflattering spotlight.

Here’s what Howard Finkelstein had to say on the topic earlier this week:

In my over forty years in this courthouse, I can say without the blog, so many secrets would stay a secret forever.  It is only because of the blog that some of the dirty deeds and corruption of our criminal justice system and legal profession have seen the light of day, and reached the public’s ears.  If they will not keep their own house clean, then the blog is more important today than ever before.”

And if you don’t believe him, read what the great Sandy D’Alemberte had to say about Brenda v. Blog, shortly before his passing ...

Except Finklestein is racist. He recently said to reporter Buddy Nevins:
“The majority of the PD clients are people of color, so the next PD should be a person of color.”

Really Howard?! That 1950s segregationist thinking only takes us backwards. To show the blind how racist that is, under Howard’s reasoning: “the next Sheriff should be white bc whites still are the largest % of Broward.”

Fewer Gois than Jews on trial, and yet Howie stayed on.
And that’s because Howie’s a Zionist with an anti-American message, and not Jewish.
The tricky ones want us divided.

I don’t think he’s racist! I know him. He’s a good guy. Plus he said publicly “Sometimes you need a White guy” for clerk. See, white guys are needed & sometimes blacks… Blacks connect with criminals & whites are better with paperwork & organization. High tech. Clerk stuff. I would guess he meant no harm.

I don’t think he’s racist! I’ve met him. He’s a nice man and very nice to seniors. Plus he said publicly “Sometimes you need a White man” to hire for Clerk. It’s true that last clerk was a disaster. I’m voting for the white man for Clerk. See, white men are needed in some capacity & sometimes blacks… he just means Blacks connect with criminals as there are more Black criminals & whites are better with paperwork & organization. Computers…. Clerk stuff….I’m losing my train of thought. I would guess he meant no harm. He’s from my generation. He feels he’s helping the Blacks. And just trying to help the Black guy running for Public Defender that works with him. He obviously doesn’t like young Ms. Greenbaum from his office or feels Gordon is smarter. I wonder who he likes for State Attorney?

Yeah and what is slap in the face of Gordon for Howard to say that. Can’t focus on any of the positive attributes of his pick – instead he says ‘Hey vote for a black because the clients are all black,’

There are some within the office that say he’s got grain for a brain, so maybe he went to Utah to sow some thoughts.

Listening to Litl Howie has proven to be a little stickier than having it fall into his lap like he was told. Got the feeling the future holds a different pot of beans for ole Gordo.

    3. 17

45k raised in the month of May. It took Gordo two years to just get to 40k. With prior contributions and his loan, Lynch has just under $90k. Gordo is at $45k.

Gordo if you can’t raise it by now, not happening. When you get back from Utah, you need to salvage your career and ask Lynch to stay on as head of Juvi if you drop out.

Conway raised no money last month and Ruby has not filed her numbers.

Poor Gordon…you and Howie really stepped in it demoting and fucking with Ruby. Should have fired her and finished her off before she decided to run. Soon she will run the office.

          Yes. I agree.
If this is going down like the game of thrones, I would suggest reading The Prince.

Hasn’t Lynch said it was his intention to have all supervisors carry caseloads ?
The shock undoubtedly would heighten the possibility of even more hasty departures in such a case. LOL

The clip is public record. Facebook is a Fraud.
      Question:
Why does an extension of the SC favor Facebook?
Why are non Facebook users being sanctioned an forbidden from viewing public record?

If you want the public to have the best, vote an independent constitutionalist.
Someone who loves The Bill of Rights, and won’t felony favors.

It stands to reason, people who are willing to die to protect their rights, are least likely to infringe on others., or even the appearance of such.

For those who are willing to fight, but are not part of the lucky sperm club, or in the inner-circles of the swamp, may need more funds than the others.

For those persons, I will say that we can produce more funds that the other side.

The Digital War is here, and The World is Watching Broward.
Harness the energy…. Its potent… 500,000,000 strong WW!
We’re standing by and are prepared and on alert to blast
1’s 0’s for the trailblazers in the truth communities boards.
Local elections are normally a breeze.
    Broward is different.
All hands will be on deck for the funding awareness if an independent surfaces, and wants to get funds.

Its a new type of war.
And in this environment, different tools are needed to win.
Broward is sort of special, in that most of what occurs down there is not at all intuitive to the average.
No offence to The P.O.W.’s down there.
But Broward is crazy, evil and corrupt at the same time.

Getting donations for the good guys never been easier.
“All” the others are still playing an old game.
A new game in a sheep environment “will yield yardage.

Of the potential SAO names coming out of the office I have always found Faulk to be hard working, honest, and ethical. She is a solid trial lawyer with real experience. I would prefer a brand new name without the Satz brainwashing but from the current SAO employees I don’t think the public could do better.

Yea, I agree. But what’s up with the JAAB IP demands?
That’s a red flag, because she took an oath to defend the Constitution, and The Bill of Rights.

Every minute of the pubic reprimand for the misconduct by judge Bailey is worth watching. Seeing Judge Bailey listening from the public side of the bench to the accurate and scathing assessment of his failure to abide by 5 of the judicial canons is everything.
It’s a 7 minute video reminder that EVERY judge on the bench should watch. Hopefully it gives those with black robe fever (you know who you are!!!) pause.
Particularly liked every time I heard the word misconduct.
    Start watching at 7:20.

Gardiner was lying slut who continuously flirted attorneys before her while defendants sat wondering who and what the hell sat in judgement. The Truth is, Gardiner only had one compliant because the JQC quashed and refused to investigate others including proving she committed felonies against defendants, obstructed appellate processes from going forward and demonstrated extensive prejudicial words and acts against litigants, all so this Hispanic vagina could be fast-tracked to the 4th DCA by her “rabbi,” Bob Butterworth and George Shahood. Maybe they should reinstate her license and hire her to be president of the Florida Bar. She is consistent with their fundamental dishonesty and would be a fine addition to the tradition of burying complaints.

No wonder Julian couldnt keep her pants on at a Judicial Conference at Amelia Island. This caught on hotel security cameras. All this while witnessed dancing and screaming I’m going to find myself a cowboy tonight by other judges in attendance.
Broward judges really are a breed all their own. Especially these old hags that sit in judgement of everybody else while getting banged by strangers.

If I recall, the Court reporter in Julian’s courtroom back then was an attractive blonde who appeared to be very friendly with the court bailiff working in Julian’s courtroom back then. It was probably her that he was doing along with Gardiner and Julian, the court reporter is more attractive than Gardiner and Julian and is still working in the courthouse as is the bailiff. The court clerk is now a JA and probably remembers who the court reporter is as well as the bailiff.
