    PLANTATION, Fla. – All Floridians who violated mask or social distancing orders during the COVID-19 pandemic are getting a pardon, Gov. Ron DeSantis says.

    DeSantis appeared on Fox News late Wednesday night as host Laura Ingraham interviewed Mike Carnevale, the Plantation gym owner who was arrested three times for refusing to enforce Broward County’s mask mandate at his business last summer.

    DeSantis told Carnevale and his wife Jillian, who was also arrested, that on Thursday he will be granting them a reprieve to delay the case for 60 days, and then ultimately they will get clemency.

    The governor added that he will be letting the state’s other COVID rule-breakers off the hook, too.

    “When our clemency board meets in the coming weeks, we’ll issue pardons not only for Mike and Jillian, but for any Floridian who may have outstanding infractions for things like masks and social distancing,” DeSantis said.

What kind of a person sends a threatening email to a colleague on the Bench with a threat. Judge Diaz should have been removed. I bet in hindsight the Justices wish they had. The 17th would have been spared all of the silly dramas Judge Diaz had created over the years following. Including the serious one now. Trying to incarcerate decent citizens during a pandemic for 10 days. These are business people that have built America. They aren’t living off the Government. By the by how many professionals get suspended from their jobs? About .0001 of a percent. Judge Diaz should retire. Like all of his old timer friends that shamed all of America and Florida like Judge Ross, Judge Spechler etc. Judge Diaz is probably one of the worst Judges ever.

    I’m new here so can someone explain why Diaz wants to be a jerk and give this guy jail? They lost the gym and have bills I’m sure. I’m caught up on Diaz’s past history. The way he became a judge in the first place and the first wife. Seems the guy had a very easy time! Did very little for years and will collect a huge pension. Hasn’t missed a paycheck during Covid. Has a good life. So why be a complete turd and suggest jail when even the SAO wasn’t asking for it? And he’s still on the bench.
