Former Broward ASA’s Jeff Chukwuma and Landon Ray are headed to court in Miami in different roles than they’re used to, following the filing of this complaint by Plaintiff Ray on May 10th.

Judging from the allegations, the dissolution of their law partnership has unfortunately turned toxic, and definitely newsworthy, given Jeff’s massive presence on social media …

          It seems that Jeff was the only one bringing in clients. When Jeff leaves-the other guy is left with nothing. I did read the complaint. I think that even if the guy wins, he will get some $- but it’s a small amount and now he has dried up any referrals from a very good referral source and possibly others. It’s just seems like a dumb move.

        Kristine Bradley is the queen prosecutor of prosecuting innocent kids. She literally will make things up to give a kid a life sentence with no evidence and not knowing if the person did the actual crime but still trying to find fake lies to prosecute a case. They really need to weed out the bad seeds in the state attorneys office because the injustice in that system is the worst!

        It’s Miami. Odds are he will pull a Hispanic judge. But that doesn’t matter. I think his video saying that was dumb. But I don’t think a judge will consider it. It looks desperate for Landon to file this with some lawyer that doesn’t even have a real email address. Either way-does Landon have any clients? Even if he wins some $ from this suit- it makes him look like a bitter person who couldn’t succeed on his own. I don’t know if what he recovers from this will be worth his reputation.

    Here’s what happened: Jeff was too chicken shit to go out on his own, so he begged his bff to go out with him. But once he was finally out, he realized it was a piece of cake with his mom shoveling them cases as “co counsel.” So then Jeff got greedy because he saw all that money as HIS because the source was his momma. So he started resenting his bff (without whom he never would have had the guts to hang a shingle) and felt justified proposing a new 70/30 split. He used the firm as his personal piggy bank and finally had the guys to really step out on his own. Fuck his friend, he can make money without him.
    I understand the weird feeling of being the rainmaker and watching others benefit. I get it. But, this was a shitty move.
    Also, ahem—is Landon’s wife actually in the firm or did they just borrow her name to same fancy? (Her name sounds old money as hell and Jeff is all about image over substance…so this would make sense). Because everything in these documents says Landon and Jeff split 50/50. Nothing about Jessica. Sooo? What’s that all about?

      Don’t we all know that you’re the one writing these malicious and false slanderous things on this blog about your charismatic, successful, and brilliant former law partner, Attorney Jeffrey Chukwuma? Landon Ray, if for the purpose of argument only, you were in Jeffrey’s shoes and you were the one bringing in all the money and business into the former law partnership you had with Jeffrey, plus you were the one doing most of the work on the volume of the individual cases, in what world would you ever have let Jeffrey take and keep 50% of the profits on the cases that only you would have been bringing in?
      Attorney Jeffrey Chukwuma was kind and gracious enough as to have let you, Landon Ray get away with taking and keeping 50% of the revenue Jeffrey alone was bringing into the law partnership for almost 15 months. And yet you have remained so ungrateful to Jeffrey and the way you pay him back is lie on him and try to slander his good name after he fired you and your wife from the partnership by dropping you both and walking away.
      If I were Jeffrey, I would never have put up for more than ONE MONTH with you taking 50% of the money only Jeffrey was bringing into the partnership when you could not even bring in any business in spite of your fraudulent and false representations at the inception of the partnership that you would bring in as much business to balance out the volume of cases Jeffrey would bring into the partnership from his social media and other sources.             If he did- no wonder they found the cop not guilty. I hope it is not true. I hope he didn’t fall asleep during such an important trial. I mean- he is a county court judge- this is probably the most important case he has ever had- and if he fell asleep during it, he needs to be removed. It’s time to retire.

              For my wildest curiosity I cannot understand why they bunped the retirement age from 72 to 75. 72 is already out of touch with America and usually too old to focus on life altering events if others. Typically most of that age are tied up trying to figure out what pills they’re supposed to take each morning or enjoying grandchildren.

                I don’t have anything against the retirement age being bumped up. Many people don’t want to retire early and can still do a great job at that age. If a judge is falling asleep mid trial- he needs to go. He obviously can no longer function as a judge.

                  Don’t sleep on Diaz though. He is a seasoned campaigner. Only a black woman could maybe beat him.

    Velez made a huge mistake dropping her run against Bryson and taking on Damico. If she was really that concerned with doing something to improve the integrity of the judiciary, she would have sunk Marni who as we all know has a multitude of problems.
    Velez is a lightweight with no juice and even less ability who used to work as a PD in Broward before moving to WPB.

    Suffice it to say that almost anybody that knows Liz Scherer knows she shouldn’t have been the judge on this case. But the real problem came from Chief Judge Tuter who has deep connections with and used to work for Liz’ dad, didn’t assign the case to a senior judge that knows what he or she is doing. Instead he allowed an inexperienced judge for the sake of high profile stakes and the publicity involved to screw this thing up so badly that it will have to be tried all over again.
    Its what happens when politics takes front seat to experience and ability, and there is little doubt which side Tuter comes down on. He should hang his head in shame.
    Who I feel sorry for are the families of all the victims as they have to be dragged thru this case in front of an inexperienced judge who is in way over her head.
