Thanks Florida Bar member who never practiced law & has no deep-seated beliefs in the Constitution. Dummies.

You mean the judges will remain at home through October, with an expected date of return to the courthouse of November 2nd.

The courthouse has been open since June.

Can not wait till they start bringing inmates that are currently housed in quarantine units in jail, into the courthouse for their court hearings.

FACT…..The bailiffs will NOT be back next year. The bailiffs are being replaced by detention deputies in ALL courtrooms next year. Bailiffs will be given an option of being reassigned to other jobs or will be allowed to retire or resign. Knew that this was going to happen and the closure of the courthouse just speeded the sheriff’s plans up a little sooner. This has been in the works for a while.

I really hope they keep using Zoom in civil court for most all hearings. No reason to deal with going down to the Courthouse for a hearing that can be accomplished remote. So much easier and efficient. Other than jury trials or special matters, all civil hearings should remain online / remote. You will see the Courthouse maintain a “normal” amount of people rather than the madhouse every morning. The brand new elevators are already a disaster – lines out to the front door BEFORE they implement social distancing. 4 – 6 to an elevator? It will take 2 hours to get from the front door up to the Courtroom. Going back full live now would be a ridiculous nightmare.

Amen to that. Motion Calendar type stuff should be forever after allowed remotely. “Court Call” call-in has worked admirably for years in Federal court. Save the planet! Save our sanity & time in so many ways!

And save the clients money, wasted paying for their attorney to fight traffic and then sit and wait to be called on in court!

Especially on these Crim County cases. WASTE of time. ZOOM them. The new SAO will gut half the cases too so people can focus on important stuff. The lawyering quality will go way up when lawyers aren’t chasing bazillions of nitpicky nonsense that shouldn’t be filed or should be dumped at arraignment, and because lawyers can work on important cases in office without sitting around all day for some inefficient Judge to work through a line of lawyers to harangue before giving continuances out like candy. There’s way too many Judges anyway. The pension and benefits are expensive. The citizenry gets soaked. They should stop appointing new ones. With ZOOM they won’t need so many Judges too WHICH is why they won’t do ZOOM. Politicians need jobs for their husbands, wives, daughters and sons.

Also.. The judicial candidates..under ethics code… have the same exact requirement for respect as sitting judges. Don’t forget. Some were disrespected.

Don’t forget that those judges who ran are afforded the same ethical treatment:ie not get harassed publicly by fellow attorneys. Per Florida Bar. Many were mistreated.

Word around the State Attorney’s Office is that Heather Hendrickson, Maria Schneider, Sarahnell Murphy, Tony Loe and a few others are already looking for another job. They know that they will soon be out of a job. Good Riddance. No one in the office will miss these Primadonnas.

Really?! OMG – give it a rest. While I am by no means a supporter of anyone/anything Trump, your continual lame comment to everything is an embarrassment. Never mind the grammar, if nothing else you should at least make sure you are correctly spelling the names of those you so apparently despise.

EXACTLY. I think maybe the best solution to what is obviously the most devastating problem of your life is for you to just leave.

You are just making shit up. With the exception of Ori (don’t know what her political affiliation was) Sarah, Justin and Brian are as anti-Trump as they come. Have they beaten you in court? Why are you lying about something so dumb and easily proven false.

Has anyone else heard that Heather Hendrickson and Maria Schneider along with some other ASAs are going to be leaving the State Attorney’s Office before they get fired. Everyone in the office is talking about it. I Wonder where they will go. They have been around for a long time and seem to do a good job. Gonna be a lot of changes here soon. Hopefully all good.

Stop making stuff up. The truth is HP won’t be making many changes at all. Satz is staying and same with everyone else.

True. Homie is bringing in Holmes. She will take over. I’m not worried about Satz continuing pursuing the death penalty. He’s a trial lawyer. It’s his case. He’s got a County mandate to finish this properly & get the death penalty. Btw: The kids killed could have been cut in half or more but for BSO. In particular the school officer. Who will never sleep at night after his cowardice. Plus Israel not taking the blame at the top.

If Pryor keeps Satz on that would be the biggest mistake of his young career. Satz is retiring. Let him retire. He could have changed his mind. He did not. Let him go.

I know for a fact that Maria Schneider, Tony Loe, Heather Hendrickson and a few others will be gone very soon. And I for one will not miss them walking around here like they are something special, which they definitely are not. They will not be missed by me. Will anyone else be glad to see these AHOLES go.

I’m going broke. This is going to bankrupt me. The liberals running the county are ruining our history as lawyers. Tuter needs to do something. Broward County Courthouse is that… a courthouse not zoom meeting headquarters. Feel like judges are kaxier & lazier. Should have elected more private practice guys n gals in primary. Too much government & you can’t keep up in these times.

Are you kidding? Zoom and phone hearings have been working great in Federal Court for years. It’s perfect for civil cases. It keeps costs down and stops time wasted waiting around and traveling. Zoom should stay. I’m court hearings should only be for motion practice and trials.

Federal Court is totally paperless & judges move it along. Plus there’s rarely ever a hearing in (civil) Federal Court. A little different.

Why would you not celebrate a normalized relationship with Israel & UAE? “Abraham accord”? Trump is nominated for a Nobel Prize for that & keeping America out of new conflicts. And getting numbers down. First since Carter to not start a new war. Trump is bad for our military industrial complex if anyone. But don’t worry, the United Stares the world’s number one arms dealer if you’re worried. Antisemitic remark you made!!

This could really be a blessing time in history. If the legislature would just enact a state constitutional law making fair and impartial trials unlawful under Art 1, Sect. 16(a), then they would create a new due process.
