Inept, incompetent, coward, Court Administrator Pugh must go. Stop throwing circuit money to a smiley face. Twenty years of not taking any risks or making any important decisions. Her replacement, sissy Joe, has already been selected. Hey Joe, how about asking for a GM position where you have to have legal ability and make hard decisions every day. Prove you have what is takes. Loni, keep doing a good job.

All these busters better be ready for the future: Chief Judge Ahearn. Jack’s termed out soon. It’s all part of the plan.

So the Cuban judge Milly Rodriguez Powell leaves and is replaced by another recycled Cuban female judge that couldn’t hack making it the first time being a Broward county judge. Got rid of one incompetent nasty Cuban woman and replaced her with another nasty Cuban woman. Great job Broward county.

And Republicans continue to be the party that appoints minorities despite all the nonsense to the contrary. Here, two well-qualified lawyers who just happen to also be Hispanic women.

So stupid. Republicans have controlled the appointment process for 20 yrs. Who else would appoint. The Spanish American South Florida population is Republican and powerful. Where are the African-American appointments?

Democrats controlled the appointment process for years with Governors like Lawton Chiles and control of the JNC for years even after. In the last 38 years we have had a Democrat Governor for 16 years and a Republican Governor for 22 years. Who did the Democrats appoint in that time? Ilona Holmes and Ana Gardiner. The Republicans have appointed, among others, Mary Robinson, Catalina Avalos, Julio Gonzales, Pedro Dijols, Elijah Williams, Mily Rodriguez-Powell, Carlos Rebollo, Ken Gillespie, Carlos Rodriguez, Michael Robinson, David Haimes, Gina Hawkins, Phoebe Francois, Tarlika Navarro, Kal Evans, Keathan Frink, Fabienne Fahnestock, Jose Izquierdo, Tabitha Blackmon, Francis Villamontes and more.

How does white Irish boy Haimes fit in and don’t give me that Hispanic crap, he genuflects when he thinks that will work and then grabs the yarmulke to play that card. Such a phony.

Well, the Irish are renowned for being poorly treated immigrants, so maybe the poster included Haimes for that reason

That was the same bullshit testimony of big bad bob butterhisnuts, at ana’s disbarment hearing. Bogeyshits brought him in to “tell it like it is.” Appears nothing has changed,

Avalos is going back to her old spot, county court. She is Colombian, not Cuban. Viamontea is going to Circuit.

How embarrassing for Avalos to be shoved right back to County bottom rung status. It’s better than work though. Good for her??

Wait…Avalos was appointed before? And not re-elected by the people? And then appointed again???? Here’s how you know the government doesn’t care about the people.

It’s like Judges that retire and give the seat to the Governor instead of the voters. They could give two sheets. It’s about them against the voting public.

The governor knows as much about these clowns, aside from party affiliation, as the voters do. Its a roll of the dice for these gophers, as well as a salary increase.

You are pretty ignorant. I can tell you that one of those appointed judges is taking a huge pay cut. Get the facts straight. The only clown here is you.

You forget, she was targeted by Ian Richards who ran 2 campaigns. 1 for white people and 1 for blacks. I literally saw it with my own two eyes. 2 different cards they were handing out. Disgusting

You should also note that everyone begged Kat to expose this and hit back, she did not and lost…if u dont care enough to play to win,, why bother? Curious if she learned a lesson

One has to credit Ms. Avalos because unlike other busted down to civilian jurists she didn’t crawl back to some government job or flounder in obscurity she in fact became a real lawyer at a prestigious law firm and made something of herself and eventually went back to her true calling of public service and at a lower salary one has to imagine.

Wow…bimbo? Have you had a bimbo experience with either one of these women? Pretty pathetic comment. This blog has gone to total SH*T, if you ask me. Embarrassing that the legal community is so spiteful and hateful.

At least Trump Jr knew as much to not put Cathy Avalos on Circuit.
He passed her 2x for that.
Her arrogance last time got the best of her.
Desantis must have heard about that but owed a favor to Tripp and Scott the firm. The County is harmless for even an arrogant person.
Now it’s the time to start getting a good opponent for her. She’s going to lose again.
Trump himself wouldn’t appoint her a 3rd time.

Lol ! Biden has more than that to concern himself with now with the laptop investigation coming down.

      Michelle Towbin Singer!

Now that’s someone to run against – she needs to go actually earn a living.
Let her go back to the PDs office

Isn’t it funny how they love their banquets and awards. For crying out loud. They act like they’re doing something no other lawyer with 5 yrs in couldn’t do after a week of training.

It’s the system designed by the very smart folks who run the game.
The trinkets and baubles in lieu of pay.
          Duh.

Can someone come and get Ellen Feld lazy ASS. She’s never in the building, disregards administrative orders, looses numerous cases to speedy because she refuses to add dates to her calendar; it appears that wasting taxpayers money is all that Feld is into.

****Feld is a waste 🗑 basket for Broward County****

FELD! When are you leaving. Pay attention to your civil cases and put down the magazines and stop the online shopping. We as attorney’s need your undivided ATTENTION. Where is Tuter when you need him.

Is county court so pathetic no one even tries? These losers are actually all going to go unopposed?

    1. 3

      1

Because nobody wants the job but losers looking for handouts.
That’s what we’re stuck with in Broward ! Judges that for the most part couldn’t make it in private practice or who got dumped from the firm as nonessential because they couldn’t pull their own weight.
Broward is know for having the laziest, dumbest putzes in Florida as judges with a CJ that’s the dumbest and laziest of all of them.

Avalos was god-awful the first time around. I hope that her demeanor has improved significantly since the last go round. Lots to say, but I’ll sum it up by saying that she was not the least bit fair and/or impartial.

Give her a chance. I know she learned a lesson. She got a real education being a real lawyer. She was at Tripp. Working. Being a business person. Not a prosecutor with short hours. I think she gets it now. She lost an election. She could lose again. She’s older/wiser. Give her a chance. People change.

Rest assured the Candidate Protection Racket is in full swing in Broward Judicial Races. Anything to protect the incumbents. It’s the Broward way.
