I think the Seidman thing stuck him on the baby bench. There was zero chance for career advancement after that fiasco.

He can’t take another run. He can’t even stay awake let alone run a campaign. Washed up and Burned out years ago.

Bob Diaz has been a scab on the butt of the 17th long enough. He embodies all the negatives of a County Clown that Broward has become infamous for. It will be good to see the back of that carnival freak,

He gets challenged every cycle and always wins.
Don’t shoot the messenger just saying. If he’s really retiring than go for it.

Why did John Weaks wimp out?

He was all “I’m finna file this week and ride off Gordon’s name &see if I can get me a judicial salary!”

        But no filing

Merrilee was a good lawyer and nice person. But heard and read read she was terrible judge. Sometimes judges get tired hearing the same ol bs from lawyers. Prosecute or defend your case and move on. Back up your position with case law (what’s that) and proceed. But the schizzle doesn’t happen anymore. Delay bill delay bill and bill again the defense bar has become like the hospital billing the insurance company $11 for an aspirin. I can buy 300 aspirin for $11. Everybody is in on the game.
Let’s end the game and address issues. It would save a lot of time stress and MONEY.
But judges are complicit in this scheme it makes appear like they are working.
The judicial system is a fing joke.
Glad handing each other, bad breath and alcohol breath smelling participants. The only straight people in the court room is the bailiff.

No. He has not stated he’s retiring. Brenda has that clerks office in a shambles and the wife is her side kick. He will keep that seat as long as he can to help Brenda so the wife collects the check.

Clerks office in shambles is the biggest understatement and these judges and jas being active participants in litigation is ridiculous.
They should set their schedule post it and have the litigants fill the spots.
One hearing zoom one hearing in person what gives with that. Do any of these judges jas go to work 9-5 5 days a week. I don’t think so.
How’s the pj’s feel while on zoom.
            A fing joke.

Attention: All You Haters of Brenda Forman,
Be on notice that the Office of The Broward County Clerk of Courts has been the very best ever since Brenda Forman became the Clerk of Courts. Brenda is doing a terrific job. She is very hardworking, helpful to everyone, responsible, and intelligent. She is also very God-fearing. You all can’t take the fact that she beat you all to the position of Broward Clerk of Courts. Shame on all you haters! You all are so damn jealous of Brenda. God, not you, put Brenda in the position of Broward County Clerk of Courts, and God will continue to guide and protect Brenda from your ill-will towards her. Praise God!

Brenda stop writing about yourself. Between you firing and demoting all of your hand picks and good people leaving, you’re going to be in court writing up notices after while. Since you’re on here, we have a few questions?????? How much is your salary, someone said you reduced your salary so the garnishments would stop. Is this true BRENDA? How’s the misappropriation of funds going? How’s the backdooring of unqualified people (like yourself) into upper management going? How’s the home buying going? How’s your daughter’s case going? All of the stolen money is paying for a half decent attorney?

                More Tid bits to come.

Is this parody? Funny as hell! Brenda was voted in because two others ran against her and split the vote. Over 50 percent didn’t vote for her and if there was a run off she would have lost
And the office is a mess! Good qualified people left. She’s unprofessional and an idiot. It’s only a matter of time.

No but he hasn’t filed yet. Casual observation through the years is he usually is quick to file maybe hoping he runs unopposed. Plus the wife reported being in the clerks office for 34 years. Odds are they’re both in drop collecting their retirement while also collecting pay checks. Maybe judges are different but my understanding is once in drop they’re officially retired but can work up to 5 years. Did they change it to 8? Regardless Diaz is more than likely not running and is retiring. Wifey too.

Diaz has just about sucked it dry … Chances are he’ll call it quits since he can’t even stay awake on the bench !

But why would they need a purely County Judge to come back? Judge Lazarus and Judge Pole came back but had done serious work as lawyers. Judge Lazarus tried mostly serious felony cases from the Bench. Judge Pole was a very big case trial lawyer as an attorney. But what value would a Senior Judge Diaz bring? Because he’s only tried DUI’s etc.

Joel was one of the greasiest scumbags to ever occupy the bench in Broward and would do anything to worm himself into a free lunch. Really bad news. That’s saying something considering the judges here.

I found him good I had that had 2 duis the state wanted bond revoked and he granted my motion to allow the defendant out. He promised me that if my client was found guilty on any of those charges he would serve jail time.
I won both cases on a motion to suppress the fhp Officer was inexperienced in testimony. He was a really nice guy and I referred his future cases to other attorneys to appear there was an influence. The BSO DUI task force cop was a lying pos. Judge Lazarus told that cop if he ever came into court with a video and testimony like that again he would sentence to him jail.

No wants a judge back that falls asleep during trials and files frivolous bar complaints (that are never sustained) against lawyers and has had a sustained JQC suspension. Please just let him retire into obscurity.

County Judges get invited back because of judicial politics. It’s a way to throw a nice bone. There’s a lot of County Judges. Chief Judge Ross used to keep his sign saying County Judge outside his Chambers. It’s flattering to them. It keeps them in support at Chief election time. The only way to fix it is to reapportion the voting method. County Judges shouldn’t get a full vote in match to a Circuit Judge. It doesn’t make any sense for it. There are much more responsibilities for a Circuit Judge. The County Judges should get a half vote each. It makes it fairer. And there would be better qualified Chiefs then. A County Judge cannot be the Chief. They shouldn’t get a full vote either.

lol this sounds like ledee. He loves an opportunity to make himself feel more important and shit on the guys one rung below him. It’s hilarious. We know it’s not a lawyer leaving this comment. Because we don’t give a shit. The awkward language use also gave it away.
I’m really good at this game.

Diaz and Forman have been tied at the hip for several election cycles with Diaz’ wife working for the Clerk’s Office. He continues to milk the public trough from both ends.

I thought ol Bob was a decent judge back in the day. Also he wasn’t a bad looking guy lots of female thought he was cute. Then he turned, what happened to the old man. I was there when he sentenced Marc Gold Ticket Clinic to 30 days of jail and Marc objected and was trying to post bond for appeal and he licked both up. So I guess he animosity against certain lawyers. Especially, that Kal

Actually he was very good looking well kept and a good jurist a few divorces is what you see now. He had a very attractive JA and she was very competent and I think when she left the poop started to roll down hill to that taco enchilada stand that resembles the abdomen.

He’s a gross sweaty putz that smells bad if you’ve ever had to share an elevator with him. Really bad personal hygiene.
He’s not much better on the bench. No way he’d ever be anything but a county putz.

Look at his face and those teeth, a divorce didn’t do that to him. Your bar must be set pretty low if you ever could think that man was hot. I think they threw away the baby and kept the afterbirth.

Keep in mind he’s been around the courthouse about 40 years. The pictures here are not when he was much younger. I think he’s been on the bench for 30. Before that he was creeping around the courthouse as a PD so I heard.

As an Asst. PD Diaz couldn’t try his way out of a wet paper bag so he had to become a county clown. His options were somewhat limited to say the least. He wasn’t the only skater.

Top 5 Signs County Is A Dead End Job:

    1. Nothing is important enough for anyone to bother appealing.
    2. There’s no reason to go to Federalist Society Meetings because no one will talk to you.
    3. That hot CLI from 6 years ago just made Circuit.
    4. You make less than Brenda Forman.
    5. You go to lunch at 11:15 AM every day and don’t have to come back.

Have you tried their website? It’s not working great. Good people in finance and IT are gone. But don’t worry Brenda will hand pick their replacements using all the credentials and brilliance she has. They’ll turn out to be as unqualified as she is. And Diaz supports all this for the wife to get a huge paycheck being her side kick

I concur. Bob was an excellent judge years ago, probably my preferred judge to appear before as a defense attorney. But something happened to him a dozen or so years ago and he just stopped caring. I would file detailed motions, the type he used to love to hear, and he wouldn’t even read them. A very disappointing end to his career on the bench.

  10. 9

Diaz is a real hoagie. Went down the toilet the day he took the bench when they were trying to diversify the bench and made a mess of it from the get-go turning out to be a notable embarrassment to the Hispanic Bar Asso. He’s never improved since then. But he was never very talented to begin with. Just another lazy bureaucratic sucker that could never make it in private practice. Now that he’s near the end of it he just looks pathetic in a very sad way.

Every Putz has its day. Diaz is long overdue. Put this putz where he belongs, Ileana. Off the bench. He’s been an embarrassment long enough.

Judging by the way he falls asleep on the bench and the way he looks, I don’t think he can make it thru another campaign. 🙁
