REJECTED!

Cindy Imperato isn’t the only Broward judge to have a softball JQC settlement offer rejected by the Supreme Court. Today Lynn Rosenthal’s preposterous proposed ninety day suspension was sent back for trial as well, via a strongly worded order.

From the Order:

We remand for further proceedings to include a full hearing before the Judicial Qualifications Commission in order to fully develop the facts regarding any misconduct that occurred during the criminal investigation and the Judicial Qualifications Commission investigation, including any destruction of evidence and any false and misleading statements made by Judge Rosenthal, so that the Court, in determining the appropriate sanction, will be apprised of all the facts and circumstances bearing on the violations.

Clearly, the Supreme Court doesn’t seem too happy, and rightfully so.  Unfortunately, as far as media, only Bob Norman and Rafael Olmeda of the Sun Sentinel have done anything to inform the public of the egregious acts committed by Rosenthal, despite the fact she remains on the bench passing judgment on others.  But hopefully things will change concerning media coverage now that the top court has weighed in, and quickly …

SS: “(The Supreme Court) can’t set a precedent like this.”

WPLG: Rosenthal admits to ‘incomplete and misleading’ testimony

This appears to be a precursor to have her booted from the bench and rightfully so. This woman has no integrity. If I were a litigant, I wouldn’t trust her on my case. Will the motions to recuse be next???

I hear Ken Gillespie is pushing Peter for her civil spot because he is afraid of getting an opponent. Vultures are out and the body ain’t even cold.

I haven’t heard any of that about Gillespie and Im pretty sure everything you said is totally false. I’ve never seen Gillespie talking to Peter Weinstein about anything. But I have been down the hallway on the 4th floor and observed the 100s if people there for Dependency Court. Ive seen him working with them and word is he loves Dependency Court. He’s happy there.

He’s also not afraid of anything. He’s had opponents before, so? Ask if you need to know the facts. Who is REALLY lobbying for this position I wonder.

So long. Her arrogance and lack of empathy was a throwback to a simpler time, as was her unfortunately predictable behavior when caught in the thresher. Needless to say, she won’t be missed.

How can it be that a judge has admitted to lying under oath, and spoliating evidence, yet she gets to preside, day after day, “dispensing justice” to those unfortunate citizens stuck with her. There is not even a presumption of innocence – she has admitted to doing those things, and much of it is recorded anyway, such as the lies about the blood test. Who is responsible for suspending her, and why is that not happening ?

Just how many DUI’s does it take to rightfully be removed by the Supream Court? This is not Imperato’s first DUI. Finkelstein believes everybody deserves a second chance? That’s his stance of course as Public Defender, but he hasn’t been hired to represent these Broward Judges so who cares what he has to say about it anyway. What about a third or forth chance? His opinion is understandable considering his past problems, but he’s not a judge and the hypocrisy involved here is outragious with multiple Broward judges with alcohol and drug problems sitting in judgment of others. Both Rosenthal and Imperato should be removed from office immediately.

After a Circuit has had a Judge wearing an Electronic Monitor dispensing justice there’s not much else that needs to be said. Except if you happen to be a politician Chief Judge. Then there is plenty to say about how wonderful these people are, and how everything is working as intended by the great men and women who founded Florida.

it’s obvious one of the problems besides drug abuse among judges in Broward county is the JQC that is supposed to protect the public from these people

The market is down 7% ytd but with this news today I figure an aggressive position in Pfizer (Xanax) will bring me even by the end of the year when the JQC hearing is held, then a strong position in a horse trank manufacturer timed for when the ultimate penalty is exacted, and I ought to be up +7 going into ’16.

Gillespie is no dummy, helping the kids is nice but that civil money is honey. This is the same guy who stood next to Rick Scott’s General Counsel last year and swore to a whole room full of people that it was preposterous to say the JNC process had a racial bias. He is out for himself just like all the rest. I would have to think the black judges would find great delight in Gillespie replacing Rosenthal after what she did to McLawrence last year.

Anyone looking to go to Civil ought to follow Rosenthal and Imperato example and go get arrested, refuse, and generally make a bunch of stupid and embarrassing decisions until Peter rewards them.

BROWARD JUDGES ARE THE WORST KEPT SECRETS IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA WITH AS MANY OF THEM ARE SHOWING UP DRUNK AND DRUGGED TO THE BENCH, BREAKING THE LAW, LYING TO OVERSIGHT JQC, WEARING MONITORS, AND THEY ARE STILL SITTING AS JUDGES ???
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE SUPREAM COURT OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA???
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE JUDICIAL QUALIFICATIONS COMMITTEE???
WHAT IS WRONG WITH CHIEF JUDGE PETER WEINSTEIN??? WHAT IS WRONG WITH OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM IN BROWARD COUNTY ???

Nothing’s wrong. It’s business as usual. The Broward status quo carrying on the proud traditions of yesteryear. At least this time no Judge has got drunk and fallen asleep in a public stairwell half-naked and then blamed a fictitious crime on a black man to to get out of trouble. Don’t be fooled. They can do whatever they want. They’re not lawyers and they’re sure not the peasants who vote or appear in court. Circle the wagons, and armor plate them. Make the taxpayers pay for it. Then show up to court late or not at all and like like a fool. Just don’t take Tylenol for a hangover, that’s bad for the liver.

ATURD runs a slippery ship and Broward judges know just who to go to to get the slimey job done and ATURD will never turn down a few schleps because that’s all this glut fly lives on and the cases he’s getting from the Broward judges he does the slime for ! McLawrence is right. But what he never understood was how to run a campaign or what he was up against. His own people will trade him in for hopes of self advancement, all for a few shekels ! Broward judges will do anything to keep plugged into the public trough ones they’ve tasted the good life ! Look at what’s going on with all the drunk/drugged up judges in Broward. You can’t get rid of these people even when they show up drunk or drugged to work because the braindead voters out west vote in blocks all for a free coffee cup or free pencil or a pack of wet naps to wipe their drool off their bingo seats ! No, McLawrence has it right but it’s not all the fault of what he calls “The Coons” because he thought campaigns were being waged by honorable people running for judge in Broward. That’s not the way the game is played with these judicial races in Broward and just because he didn’t get it doesn’t make it all the fault of the slimy fatboys like ATURD. When you want to run a campaign for judge in Broward, fatboys need to be fed too !

    coon 

A coon is a black actor or actress, who takes roles that stereotypically portrays black people. They think theyve made it but they are slaves to the same images. A.k.a sellout
It comes from the term baracoons (a cage), where they used to place Africans, who were waiting to be sent to America to be slaves. They had no idea of this, so some of them were even eager waiting in the baracoons.

Examples- Roles or advertisements were black people:
    -play basketball
    -rap about a product
-are obsessed with money or chicken
-have a lot of video hoes
-have names that show that they are black (kwame, darnel, any two capital letters (JT, TJ, AJ, TC, JJ), any female name ending in a “qua”,

excessively use old terms we made up like
    -woo wee
    -bling bling
    -yo
    -holla
-im da man, you da man
    -thats wack yo
    -daaaamn!
-or anyterm that white people have begun to acknowledge, use and accept.
-(I hope you get the idea- this happens everyday)

Black guy on commercial or in movie: Woo wee! Boy do I love me some chicken, where da Koolaid at?

    Person watching: What a coon!

For those of us who are not completely up to speed, who or what is ATURD and why does the term come up so frequently on these threads ?

  17. 0

ATURD is the one who determines who shall successfully pledge the judicial ranks in Broward County. If you don’t know this you shall never don the cloak of invincibility in the 17th Circuit.

There was another Fla. judge a year or so ago who got a DUI. She plead guilty, said she was guilty, showed great remorse + owned up 100% to her mistake. As I recall she took her punishment like a man + retained her judgeship. Giselle owned up, but hers was not a one-timer. There’s a lesson here for those who realize they are not above the law, + the outcome should be otherwise for those who believe they are in fact above us mere mortals.

Broward has always set an example of never accepting responsibility and trying to squirm out of trouble. That’s the way it’s done here. The problem is their cover is blown. Credibility is shot. No one believes them anymore. So now they all need to be taught a lesson so the next generation acts like responsible adults.

This doesn’t mean anything. They will prop her up after a few more cracks of the whip to make it look good. It’s Florida.

Broward county has any number of judicial rejects to choose from. Take your pic. My favorite to date in the ever growing list is Rosenthal with her Ambien Defense.
The JQC apparently is a lot more forgiving than the Fla. Supream Court who at least recognizes the threat of these “REJECTS” to the public at large and to the lack of confidence in the judiciary as a whole they represent.
The public foot the bill for these “JUDICIAL REJECTS” and has lost all confidence in the ability of these “REJECTS” to administer Justice.
Something at long last needs to be done about the problems presented by Broward Judges. They must be held accountable for their actions because the internal judicial politics of Broward’s judges make it impossible for these problems to be corrected by Chief Judge Weinstein who remains concerned only with remaining the Chief Judge of this circuit and little else. He should be removed from office as well.
Both Rosenthal and Imperato have shown they are unfit to hold this important office. Now they should pay the ultimate price just as anyone else would. Removal from office is called for and nothing else will suffice to restore public confidence and send a strong message to the other judges of Broward that this sort of behavior will not be tolerated. Politics of the JQC has not delt with this increasing problem among Broward judges and swift and decisive action will have to be taken by the Florida Supream Court to deter judges in the future from believing that they are somehow above the law that governs us all and should apply to judges even more severely because the Justice they should represent.

Wait till the Motions to Recuse start creating big problems. How can a judge under JQC investigation hear cases ? I guess the same way a judge wearing a monitoring device can still sit on the bench in Broward ! Lol

My judgment is occasionally clouded by drugs and alcohol although I have been known to lie for reasons unrelated to substance abuse. Please direct me to a link to download a judicial application. This action is too good to be cut out of. Is there a pension too?

What’s really amazing is these judges (use and abuse) the very Justice system they are sworn to uphold and yet they are allowed to stay on the bench. Nowhere else but Broward can boast of such hypocrites.

    1. 0

What’s most amazing is that the JQC would dream of such a minimal response…nice to know they’re there to protect the citizens of Florida from unfit judges. That a judge who would lie under oath to the very JQC who was investigating her conduct, participate in spoliation of evidence, admit it and not IMMEDIATELY be suspended is so troubling. How can someone would admitted to those things be left to pass judgment on anyone else ?

Imperato gets hers today. Pucker up and say good bye. Playing the loose floozy gets u in double doo doo. Been on the dole long enough. Now you can sit home and drink all you want. I’d still take her car away. Peter Pumpkin Eater can deliver her bottles while singin his sad tune. The price u pay.

Imperato faces the music starting today. Why isn’t it reported or a link provided on this blog ? Because favorites are being played once again. I’m beginning to doubt the motives behind what I used to think was a great blog, but now maybe not.

Broward Judge Imperato after second DUI and wearing a monitoring ankle cuff still hearing cases after being switched out of Criminal Court to Civil by Chief Judge Weinstein is looking at possible removal. She should be after placing fellow motorists at risk for their lives. After flashing her badge to the officer that pulled her over in attempt to influence the officer’s actions. After repeatedly arguing with the officer about exiting her car, she finally wobbles back to the officer’s cruiser uttering ” This is like a bad dream”! It sure is, Judge Imperato, and the imagination is stretched beyond credulity that you’re still sitting as a judge hearing any cases whatsoever! Broward County is known for its bad judges, but u take the cake along with that other Judge Rosenthal who is right up there too! I’d never allow you or her to hear any case I was involved with, that’s for sure! Now take your medicine like everybody else and quit squealing for some sort of special treatment. U deserve together it handed to u but good and that means removal.

I’m Sure the Florida Supream Court is really tired of Broward Judges about now. Between Gardiner, Watson, Pollack, Imperato and Rosenthal, it’s a wonder that anything gets done at all.
And on top of this Chief Judge Weinstein like the bungler he is has the audacity to say Broward needs more judges to further screw things up !
It’s a total Clownhouse in the 17th and it’s time they are made accountable for their actions and inaction. When I walk thru the Broward County courthouse and see what little is actually going on, it’s enough to make you think this circuit must be the biggest joke in the state. Once the Supreams remove a few more they’ll get the message. Take their overly fat pensions away from a few of them and they’ll fall into line soon enough.

A MAN SHOULD KNOW HIS LIMITATIONS. THE BROWARD JUDICIARY HAVENT HAD ANY UNTIL NOW. I SUSPECT BOTH IMPERATO AND ROSENTHAL ARE ABOUT TO LEARN THE HARD WAY THEIRS AND WELL THEY SHOULD. ITS A REGULAR MONKEYHOUSE IN BROWARD COURTS. ISNT IT ABOUT TIME ITS STOPPED?

Cindy’s sweetheart deal just turned hardball. Instead of resigning with her integrity intact, it looks like it’s going to get nasty. Pushing the envelope to the max might have dire circumstances for her. The one thing she may learn from this debacle is what it feels like to be on the other end of a system stacked against her. Then again, she probably views herself as the victim in all this. Who pays the cost of this circus ?

  33. 0

    0

Not having the luxury to have been able to watch the circus, curious to know what went on that causes the dire predictions. She ‘presides’ at trials, shopping on her laptop during testimony, an insult to all who are so foolish as to expect any sort of proper adjudication, and clearly should not be in a position to be passing judgment on others. Details appreciated.
